- First ride in Utah. Its very different terrain! It's like riding on another planet compared to home. This was playing around in a dedicated OHV area where bikes are free to play!

Even when Chris gets it wrong he does it gracefully. What a legend.
Finally! A riding skill I have mastered. Nobody falls over better than me, not even Chris Birch.
HA!, glad to see it happens to all of us....A few weeks ago, A very wise man once told me you attack a hill in thirds, first third gain speed, next third sustain speed, last third bleed off speed as you get to the top. I'm glad you guys are enjoying the rest of your tour of the U.S.
I under committed to the first third, got lost on the second third and set up camp on the last third 😂
grande!
Ha! Brilliant! Good to be on board to see the recovery.
Absolutely scary! Thanks for the video!
Hi Chris and Chris glad your having fun! Already prepping for our season back home

beautiful videography & riding please more like this! 4k is a must with theses landscapes!
You make me smile . Thanks

I really enjoy watching your incredible videos , greetings from Mallorca
Love it - "Stay THERE" ...😂😂😂
Man, have we all been there ...😋😀😀😀
Thanx for sharing and - BY GOD - keep it coming !!! 💯👌👌👌
Feel ya..Many times on the heavy 1090R.Beast to pick up on the steeps.
Chris Birch is a legend..👍👍
Chris, don't scratch it! 🤟
Wow that was a situation. Well done to recover from that one! When it looks scary steep on the video it must be crazy in reality.
Oh man, this video made me feel so much better about my travails off road! 😂
Bloody good effort👍👍
Well done Birch!!
One of the few Aliens that frequent in the Dirt Bike World. Massive respect.
Chris you sure you are from this planet? I reckon you are an alien. Fantastic, you my hero🤣
I'm glad you aren' t the only one who talks to their bike!
Nice recovery. If you like this type of riding, you should head over to MOAB, UT.
Awesome vid man, glad you're checking out the states. Come out to Michigan next time, plenty of trails here!
Just loved the comment, ˋand now´? , we all know that sinking feeling in what seems a hopeless situation, however, our man Chris comes through. The roller coaster feeling coming down was rewarding!
I did stuff like this... when I was 16. It was my parents' 360 acre farm in eastern Kentucky, I was on a mid 1970s Suzuki TS250 2 stroke dual sport, it was a heavily eroded logging path made by pointing a small bulldozer off a near cliff, I was by myself with no hope of rescue because 16 is just that stupid, and there was a bit at the end where I was alternately leaning forward to keep the front wheel on the ground and leaning backward to keep the rear wheel from spinning before physics won and I bailed out uphill.
Chris Birch is THE MAN🤘bloody legend
So glad I got to watch you do this again the next day. Cameras do not do it justice.
That is some intense stuff!
The title says Idaho but when I saw Whitehouse I realized you were in Utah. It’s unbelievable the terrain you navigate on a big bike!
When Chris Birch tell you to stay down, you stay down
Welcome to Utah Chris! You are welcome anytime at my place.
would love to see the footage from the phone! what a nice climb Chris!
Welcome to Utah!
Hey Chris there is a really good online video training series called say no to slow, the bloke covers how to climb hills. Might be worth a watch 😂😂😂
Glad to see that I'm not the only one who struggle to recover the bike from a fail hillclimb...
You got pretty high tho... Impressive 👍
👌👌👌
Damm ❤️😍
You are insane!!!
My god I'm an idiot some times, this is in Utah, not in Idaho ha ha.
Ha! I'm heading there this weekend to pickup my 890r from Devin and Tracey. So stoked!!!!
Fark that 1st part is like watching a horror movie 😱
😮 nicely done. It looked steep on GoPro which means it was really steep 😂
Dude!!!
Sounds similar to some of the conversations I've had with my 990...mine just had lots more screaming and crashing sounds.
Well that was a nerve wracking watch at times 🫣
โครตเทพเลยครับ
Seemed like a good idea at the time😎
“Here, hold my beer”!
Hi Chris
I noticed that you still have the original KTM steering damper installed as well as running the XRC one?
Is there any reason or benifit for having both on at the same time?
I just installed a scotts on my 890, and removed the original damper.
Thanks
Balls of steel doesn't justify his braveness.
I'd love to ride with Birch. Should have taken the 1290r.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who tells their bike to stay like a dog 😁
The new 890 AdvR (2023) seems to have the same forks like the (2020) RALLY edition has?!? 😍🤙🏻
This is a 22 with Pro components suspension
What a hell of a display does he have there?
Get your mate to turn his phone to landscape! Can always crop for social media portrait stories.
Thanks for sharing Legend!!! I see that you kept the stock steering damper together with the XRC unit. Can you share a quick insight as to the advantage of doing so?
Honestly, I just haven't had the time to take the original one off. I normally just run the XRC
Haha Fair play Chris. e09s on the back is it?
Any slope less than 100% is too easy and not fun to Chris. Love the way you brap.
He sent the first line today. When’s the video coming out Birchy?
Looks like OEM steering damper is one as well as the XRC. Is that the preferred set up?
No, I just haven't gotten around to taking off the oem one
😂😂ufffff, crack you !!!!.
Utah or Idaho? Fun video BTW 🙂
HE IS HUMAN!!!
Just another day of hard enduro practice..... can't let Pol Tarres have it all his own way.
Yikes thats a damn heavy bike to be in that position with !! i was puckered up just watching the vid , and then you turn around and try it again right away after the first scare ?? yikes my hat is off
doing dirt bike things with a bike that weighs 430 lbs +
Looks steep! Which tires are you using in that clip?
Mitas e12 and e13
Can I down load that voice control app. onto my 300 xcw, 😁
Were you in Utah or Idaho Chris?
Don't worry, on a hill like that the bike would have it made it to the bottom without you. Probably even upright.
Done on a 430 pound bike!
I had a sneaky suspicion he was actually human - confirmed now.
No cardos ?
You r lucky u r alive
if that happens to me first probably that big bike gets to the bottom in a different ugly, scary way second wouldn't even try a second time, off course I don't have 2% of the skills of this guy
how is ur Cam Shafts?
@@infoman1881 just had the valves checked after 20,000km and only a slight re shim on the exhaust.
For climbing hills you'd be way, way better off with a 4wd ATV. Motorcycles have to rely mostly on momentum.
