Bono and U2 tap into the moment here! Politically I usually do NOT endorse U2, but here he is spot on and delivers a rallying cry to the world after the worst incident of racial massacre since the Holocaust. Maybe we should be singing "In the Name of Love" through the streets of the world. Can someone please translate the words (including the new ones here) into Hebrew?
Hebrew translation of the new lyrics: בוקר מוקדם ב-7 באוקטובר כשהשמש זורחת בשמי המדבר מגני דוד, הם לקחו את חייכם אבל הם לא יכלו לקחת את הגאווה שלכם לא יכלו לקחת את הגאווה שלכם... (From then on the lyrics are the same as the original song)
For a few months I comment on almost every video about U2 I can find, but this one warmed my heart the most. I never said which country I was from, but I think now it’s important. I am a 16 year old girl from Israel. 6 days ago, Saturday morning I woke up because of an alarm sound. First time I heard this sound was 9 years ago when I was 7. At school and at home everyone prepared all the kids and told us what we need to do when we hear the alarm. We need to go to the shelter as fast as we can because of the rockets. I heard it again when I was 14 years old, again I was terrified. And the last time was two days ago. Every time I hear it I know what I need to do, but no matter how many times I hear it I always start shaking. The roads here are empty, everyone at home and broken😔. Everything here came out of nowhere, we we’re completely shocked. But we’re strong and we know things will get better!👍🏻 U2 truly mean so so much to me💖, their music is something so special and extraordinary! Nothing compares to them💜💜 I listen to it every day all day, just listening to them always helps me relax and put the difficult situation we are all in, aside.🫶🏻 It was like that way before now, when I felt tense it is one of the things that can truly calm me down😄 I saw their second show at the Sphere with my mom, so glad we went to that performance, I know I will never forget it!🫶🏻 We came back 5 days ago and then the war started😔. When I saw U2 playing and Bono singing for us at the Sphere it completely warmed my heart and I want to thank them for that support.❤️ I really do hope things will get better here!🫶🏻 I love U2 so much❤️❤️
Two days after Oct 7 so a great tribute. However U2 have stood up on apartheid and genocide in Rwanda and Bosnia.Pretty sure they would be appalled at what Israel has done since. Non violence is what U2 have always stood up for
I’ve loved U2 since they started and love seeing them in person and so proud of them here. 😢Thank you we needed this guys!
Thank you U2 it's beautiful tribute.
