My wife of 24 years, who passed away in 2016, ABSOLUTELY LOVED U2. We got to see them live, twice. When Edge hit the opening licks to Streets, oh, sweet beautiful joy and sorrow. I love these guys.
Rush Austin my deepest condolences, I'm sure your wife is dancing to U2 in the heavens smiling down on you good sir 🙏🏻
So sorry for your loss. I am 54 and have loved them for a long time. I am so glad that you and your wife could enjoy them.....2 Hearts Beat As One.....Maybe it could be your song as you remember you dear wife.
Sorry to hear buddy. All the best
sorry to hear that man.
My condolences! Seen them on almost every tour since 92 and what a ride!
Her reaction when going up on stage with Edge was priceless! Imagine what it is like to face such a crowd on a regular basis
Maybe they get used to it, but that seems so unreal and crazy from the stage perspective!! 😀
@@charleneelovitz3738 cannot be good for the mind at all. Must be so hard not to turn into a total prick
Looking at this you can see why they’ve stuck together all these years. They’re basically still normal blokes who know how fortunate they are and don’t ever forget it.
Brilliant clip.
Very Humble Gents
Why the heck do the first bars of Streets make me cry??? When Edge walked Cat onto the stage for some reason it just blew my mind. How does anyone maintain even a shred of humility when that is their daily life. It must be hard. But these guys seem to have worked it out. Great vid.
Same! Even when he played 3 seconds of it on the acoustic guitar in the dressing room I started bawling. What’s wrong with me?
Yep. I kind of figure it's what's music would be playing on your souls ascent into heaven if you've tried your best to live a decent life.
I cried now. I love U2, and I live near the stadium in Brazil, but that day I was pregnant and couldn't go to the show. But I heard it all sitting under my window, I sang each music, and I promised to be with U2 someday.
wow. fantastic story and memory
I hope your dream 💭 comes true…
U2 love Brazil 🇧🇷
So hopefully 🙏 it comes true and you can take your child with you,and cry through the entire gig..
I sometimes think that U2 still is more young and ‘modern’ than most contemporary bands now. They can still sell out stadiums anywhere, and be considered relevant. I adore how they remain very gracious, humble and humorous. Cheers!
The start of "where the streets have no name" is overcoming. It always gets me.
diego I’m with you. When they disintegrated "Pride" (with the crowd chanting "oh oohhhh oh"), stood as 4 brothers, and then started the organ for "Streets...", I completely lost it. Great show.
Instantly recognizable track, I have loved that song from the first time I heard it. Still listen to it a lot.
The greatest live song ever by any band ever
I saw it live for the first time last month and I was like 😦 woaaa
Absolute agreement, stunning, I was at the concert they did in DC, on this tour, dramatic emotional cathartic, the ultimate story, the giant video screen and the images and the sound and the performances... how many pieces of art can you think of that strike so hot every time you encounter them. Overcoming indeed
adam has really become such a cool dude. always kept a low pro, but he's been letting his personality come out in public more in the last decade.
Lucky girl. Attended Joshua Tree in Cleveland, Ohio, one of the best nights of my life!
My god, Adam is lively and hilarious.
The jazz man
Her reaction to being on stage was awesome!!! Totally blew her mind!!
Lucifer puts on one hell of a show
I've watched personally rituals backstage and onstage they feed off the vibe I'm totally serious these people have committed they're souls to Lucifer for EARTHLY GOODS SEX MAGICK SEX MAGICK BLOOD SUGAR SEXAGICK SEX MAGICK DONT WORRY IT'S ALL "WALNUT SAUCE$ "ITS GRAVY' PEACE HANDSIGN OK HANDSIGN HIDDEN HAND NAPOLIAN STYLE THESE GUYS ARE 33° freemasons knights of Malta club of rome Templars students of theosophy Maadam blavatscky Carl young sigmund frued Edgar Allen Poe.
@@michaelkehrenworthallright4416 dude wth are you talking about??
She got wet right then and there
@@michaelkehrenworthallright4416 careful, the mundane cant fathom the fact that all of these famous people are practicing occultists. Also, based on their political views, I would place them squarely in bed with the Fabian Society.
McConaughey, Noel and Daniel Lanois at the end there haha - honestly though, how cool is that the same exact 4 guys have never disbanded and have never stopped packing stadiums all these years after? Their music is still timeless, you will never come away from a U2 show unsatisfied, they are true artists, showmen and professionals in every sense of the word.
It is not Daniel lanois , it is Bono’s brother !
@@user-nt1wk5uh2m It is Daniel Lanois.
@@user-nt1wk5uh2m Yep, it's Daniel Lanois
@@TT_1221defo it's Daniel Lanois and Noel Gallagher ( Do I need to see his face ? )
@@TT_1221, nope it’s not Daniel lanois !!!
Edge is the coolest guy in the band. His guitar is what attracted me to U2 more than 30 years ago.
If I saw U2 live I don’t think I’d be able to control myself there would be so many tears
It does
Tears of joy 🤣
The feeling is so overwhelming..
Especially when u have followed them for 30 years plus..
That’s exactly happened when I saw them at sphere haha
The energy of the crowd @4:37 is amazing. So few ever get to feel that in their lives, and these cats have had it 150 nights a year for the past 35 years.
When you hear The Streets Have No Name guitar part it's like a religious experience! Man they sure brought it on that album.
Pulse2AM The part you refer to - a suspended major chord resolving to a pure major triad, generally - is very much church music in fact. Based on the writings of early Anglo Saxon pre-renaissance composers and continuing its spread across Europe and eventually to the Americas, this is one of the iconic figures which can be heard regularly in churches throughout the western world. Edge certainly knew this history.
Joshua Tree was their finest hour...a band at the top of the game!
@Wunderbar Vulpine I play almost all their songs on guitar, you are actually trolling. Good attempt tho.
Wunderbar Vulpine really she cheated on him ??
@Wunderbar Vulpine ? take your meds
Saw this show in New Orleans. The opening was no flashing lights or fancy effects... just the guys jamming their tunes together. It was raw. It was amazing.
I was going to say that I was surprised how cool and down to earth the guys from U2 are, but I wont. Why should I be surprised? That's the way they've always presented themselves. When Edge took Cat to the stage, and the crowd erupted, it was an incredible moment. What a guy!
Greatest band of all time. I was at the 1987 Joshua Tree tour. One of the greatest experiences of my life. ❤🔥🎶
one of the BEST backstage I have seen exposed! Been in the biz 45 years I love for people to get to see the reality!
They were one of the best 35 years ago back when I met them. I worked a local show in Tampa Fl. They were cool to all 25 of the hands, which was not true of most acts. This was also before they got massive stage shows. It was two hangs simple trusses and a shitload of Clair Brothers sound flown and a second shitload of subs on each side of the stage . My kind of sound mix. We were loaded out by 1:30. Again, not usual.
It was a great show. A little distructive to the building since it was a GA seating event and some idiot wanted chairs put down. Got autographs on the local crew tshirt- very unusual since it was very bad karma to ask for anything like an autograph when working. Lost all of those things like my back stage pass collection in a house fire 10 years ago. Sucked really bad since that stuff was uninsured and had to be worth tens of thousands of dollars - plus was great memories lost. That was one of the really good shows and I had done it initially for the money.
@@scottwheeler2494 "A Day In The Life of The Edge" is pretty great too
How down to earth these guys are. So refreshing to see. Love U2.
Rock and roll gods that transcend generations... just epic music that hits you in your soul.. and sets it ablaze.
Love it when Cat and Edge get on stage and everyone starts cheering!
The Edge is the epitome of cool. He doesn’t even try to be cool and couldn’t be more cool. And then the 6 strings vs 4 comment. A classic but the way he says it.
The Edge is my favorite.
This filled me with such joy. The crowds reaction was life.
Instant goosebumps as gig gets underway
Always...the U2 phenomenon...since Goria😁👍❤
I come from São Paulo, and we are always so proud to receive U2. We love them, so much.
Adam is brilliant seems a great guy
Adam's a lovely and funny guy
I really like when he or Larry talk more.
Oh my gawd I loooooove Adam.
Indeed!
Hell yes!!!
He truly is. Toured with them many years ago. He would roller blade through back stage. Then stop and hang out and roll on. HAHA
Hard to comprehend how you can maintain a shred of humility when that is your life, but they seem to have managed it. I've never heard of Cat Deeley but she seems lovely and the guys are clearly very fond of her. And yes, the opening to Streets makes a lot of people tear up, myself included.
Cat Deeley has been the bands favourite girl since she was on Saturday morning telly in the early 90's. They like her, they trust her and she has the utmost respect for them, it's just a chemistry that works without being followed around by a tabloid journo.
I am 65 and have followed them for 45 years....and being a bass player for most of U2 has always been my favorite! Adam Clayton knows how to lay down bass lines that anchors and connects all other pieces. Clayton and Mullins are glued together at all times!!!
U2 GOT ME THROUGH ALOT OF THINGS IN MY LIFE,THANKS A MILLION XXX
U2 heals the world..Jesus is with them
How can anyone not love Cat Deeley?
U2 is one of the greatest bands ever. They’ve all been married to their original wives for decades. They’re music is incredible. There’s no more bands anymore there’s tiktok stars that all sound the exact same. I’m glad I saw U2 live
Love U2 but Bono is the only one who has been married to his original wife for decades. Larry has been with his girlfriend for decades but they have never married, Edge split with his first wife in the 90s and remarried years later, and Adam married in 2013 for the first time.
most overrated bands of all time. jimmy buffet of rock
Edge is on his second wife.
@@kristianduff7775 Hahahaha, thanks for that. fkn U2, cant believe people think they are great.
@@adamc2837 dude gtfo of here. you are obviously a fan of the so-called shitty music we have nowadays...
Awesome, I caught this tour back in 87, great stuff!
Daniel Lanois at the end. Great Party right there.
Canada!
OMG I was there on this day!! Best concert EVER! We love you guys!
Oh, my freaking world! How many times can you be with U2 behind the stage, at the stage, at the party after... this was better “even than the real thing”.
I love how much they all love her... I do too.
U2 COMING TO INDIA FOR THE FIRST TIME!!! HELL YEAH!! We are gonna Rock like never before! Its gonna be a night to remember. We're gonna roar like only Indians can!
ADAM WAS AMAZING!! WONDERFUL!
The best Band of planet, i love so much U2 , long life for ALL Band, god bless bono.
I met the Edge at a graduation back in 2018 and he is probably the most down to earth, cool guitarist ever
Always!!
Greatest rock band in the world any way you want to measure it. Love this band, listen to them every day.
I’ve seen U 2 9 times over the years since they started I would give anything to meet Bono 💓
Its amazing. This small video shows why they are number one in the world. Thank you BBC.
The best, the best... U2
O Brasil ama o U2.
I really love Adam Clayton ❤🙌
U2 is the real deal. best group ever
Love them, always will. Not only for their talent & hard work over the decades, but especially for their kindness, sense of humor & warmth.
i knew it! Adam is the coolest U2 member!
The bassist is always the coolest in every band.
he's no Bono
What a class act. Such a pleasure to watch.
The best of brazilian number one👍👍👍👍👍
I saw the Joshua Tree concert in Tampa on my birthday and it was awesome.
I was at Cardiff Arms Park 25 July 1987 for the Original Tour. Awsome memories.
I've been a lover of U2's music since the beginning. I've still got my original Joshua Tree LP. It would be an awesome experience just to hang out with these guys for a while.
When the crowd sees Edge…I lost it. The energy and positive vibes were undeniable. This! Never give up.
I keep coming back to watch this and it's adorable everytime. How neat.
I was there>>>>>>>>> in one word, AMAZING. Still get Goosebumps when I see footage of the show. Thanks for the memories and the experience U2.
U2 ja falou de seu amor pelo Brasil!
Acho da hr a humildade dessa banda !
Orgulho do brasil apesar de seu problemas!

U2 처럼 나이먹을 수 있으면 좋겠습니다.
예전에는 팬이 아니었는데 지금보니 너무 멋지네요. 💖💕

"Where the streets" has the most magic/powerful/soulful/religious opening in music history
She‘s experiencing my dream 😍😭
My only U2 concert was during the Joshua Tree Tour, priceless!
Love all these guys. They're some of my best friends in the whole world and we've never even met.
These guys are sooo cool. Incredibly nice and down to earth. Love them ❤
Brazil loves U2!!!
Thank you very much for this incredible u2 report.
Omg I was there it was just amazing
in an horrible world, you still bring joy, thanks U2
Wow! This was very inspiring. U2 Rocks!
Seeing them live would be a dream come true!
when I was very young back than in 80-s every new U2 album was like Christmas to me , one day I was at the kitchen in my sister's apartment drinking bear with her and her boyfriend , at one moment I heard on the radio begining of " Where the streets no name" , I said - this must be U2 and this must be the new U2 album coz I never heard this song before ...I always remember that very moment when I hear the begining of Where the streets ...I was the biggest fan from the early days , saw them live in Budapest 1992, thanks to U2 I meet my girlfriend , now wife (two kids , both like U2 , specially daughter)
The Edge grabs the guitar 🎸 and goes straight in on “Pride”. Haha 😆 brilliant
Her reaction when Edge takes her up on stage
Even though she's been on stage in front of 1,0000s before ❤❤
U2 was the first concert that blew me away. #1 absolute perfection in every way. Followed by Coldpay and of course, Twenty One Pilots. I am so grateful that I was able to see U2 live.
My favorite band
U2 es simplemente la Banda más grande del mundo!...Increíblemente talentosos, Humildes, Sencillos y Agradecidos con su gente!!!
This was a life changing album for me in high school. Our high school choir drove from LA to San Diego & I listened to my Joshua Tree cassette over & over. This was a little emotional for me to watch. I wish U2 was affordable to go see, but tickets are astronomical every time they come around. Great album unquestionably.
I have been a U2 fan and great fan of this music for Years!! Since 1981! Have seen them on tour, including the First round of Joshua Tree! But When I bought my last ticket to see U2 360 tour, knowing that those Chi Town concerts would be So 👌 awesome- I Started to be homeless- so by the time they came around on tour- I had No way to go to their concert!! I've been homeless many times since!! Even watching news clips of *Bono'*'s interview( so glad Jenna is a big fan!!) AND have not been able to see U2 on Tour - any tour! It sure would be nice to see them again! Seeing U2 live Is Always the Best experience!! I hear you on how expensive it is to buy tickets anymore, but This Woyld be The Band to see!! Oh, and I have fallen In love with Chris Martin/ Coldplay!!#2 fave band after Simple Minds!! Ok, I need 2 stop! LOL.
My favorite band I am proud of these guys are too much simplicity plus a sound to infect the soul at any time. Congratulations on the report. I loved it, I love you U2. Alvaro Pires - London
definitely one of the best backstage clips ever seen
Wooo-hooo!! This is awesome! Great to see behind the scenes, love it!
Eu vivi esse momento!!! 😍🎸
