@@HeatherTV-ry6kr Same! I hated makeup and acessories before. Being able to look through once is a game changer. Plus it looks like if you see an athletic shirt you like while scrolling through in everday, you can just add it to athletic without having to switch over and scroll all over again!!

@@alishiawhite4043 Same. But I probably won't bother with even trying to update anything until the pack is out, too. Because who knows what might get broken again then. I could also imagine that some creators won't do any major fixes until then for the same reason. MCCC is already updated, though.
@@emillyhatfield456 Hence the massive bug fixes. And how does it not work? Genuinely asking, aside from some major bugs the game runs relatively well, for me at least. Even the lag doesn't happen as often as it used to.
@@SoleilQuiles well before yesterdays second update my game would freeze and have to be manual closed through task manager anytime I tried to play a household. Then after the second update all of the icons were wrong like the phone icon was the needs icon etc but at least the game started working though the loading screens where even longer (3-5 minutes long)
I'm really happy that The Sims Team are finally giving us features we've been wanting for ages, next we need a hair colour slider/more hair colour swatches, more basic swatches for carpets, wallpapers and beds, auto roofing, one side railings on stairs, spiral staircases, burglars as NPCs, pool tables, garages, normal slide, roundabout and waterslide.
I was playing around with romantic boundaries and noticed there are special moodlets for jealous sims in open relationships! I appreciate the level of detail that went into this feature
I LOVE the new apply all tool (or apply to specific outfits). I was thinking just yesterday “it would be really nice to be able to have an apply all tool so I don’t have to search for this necklace and this piercing a million times.” Best part imo
@pengutotally3064 is started trying to remember to do makeup, accessories, and nails for the first outfit of a category before adding others since it copies the one you are on when add the next, but I was always forgetting something and then just deciding to leave it off totally.
Going through the patch notes I was screaming there’s so many QOL improvements and little things that I’m obsessed with in addition to the main update features

The neighbourhood story feature is huge. It’s so annoying when I move a sibling out I’ve got to play the household to give them a partner as they won’t do it on their own. That’s a game changer for me.
From the patch notes: "Sims now can choose between “Plan Wedding Event“ from Base Game or “Plan Customized Wedding Event“ from My Wedding Stories when they're ready to get married." I know there was a mod for this but I'm very happy this exists in base game now.
Personally, that might just be the thing that makes me consider buying that pack in the future. The world and the build style is something that I've wanted to get for a while, but the bg weddings getting replaced is what put me off. I might actually, possibly get it either as a bundle, or when it's on sale at some point

The only thing I don't like about the eyelashes is that if you use an eye that already had one they overlap... I thought it would 'disappear' or that we would have an option to remove the eyelashes already in the eyes (this is pretty simple to do as well)
Same here. I hate that certain eye shapes have that "eyelash" eyeliner thing when I want to make a Sim with a zero makeup look. I wish they would just remove it from all eyes and make it an option with the eyelashes now.

Now to hope for a giant accessories base game update 🤞 we need more, better, base game earrings, rings, bracelets, necklaces, gloves, glasses, socks, tights, and leggings[and even more] And hopefully more/better hair colors

I really like the romantic language update! Having it default to partner and spouse is a much needed improvement. I just wish there were options to switch the terms they use later. A lot of queer people fought really hard to call someone their girlfriend or their husband, so I prefer spouse as the default but it would be nice if we could toggle it in CAS or the sim's profile on the simology tab, just like how sims are bi/pan by default but you can adjust it
there's a relationship label creator in the relationship menu. if you look at her playthrough video it's at the one hour 19 minute (1:19:00) mark. looks like you can type anything
if i remember correctly you can actually change the name of relationship labels in live mode!! your sims would still be dating, they'd just refer to each other as boyfriend/girlfriend instead of partners

I'm very happy Maxis keep pushing for my inclusivity in the game, especially when so many gamers whine about it so much these days, but I wish they didn't erase the old terms too. I want my lesbians cowgirls to be wives and not partners 😔 inclusivity means having all the options available for people to choose what best fits them, so I would like to still choose the other labels. I hope they update it again
I'm also disappointed they removed the girlfriend/boyfriend terms from the game. They could have had it as partner by default but be able to set a term that will then override it. Hopefully they'll add this back in, I'm not sure if anyone will be able to mod it.

As a Polyamorous person, seeing that the romantic boundaries tab being added to the sims made me so so happy. This game is a life Sim and so much of my life wasn't able to be represented before. I can't wait to make me and my partners in the sims! ❤😊
Yeah I'm not poly myself but I always found it sad that I couldn't make a cute household that resembles some of the few healthy relationships I've seen growing up. Stoked to finally make it happen!!
For Streamers: Add royalty free music to your Custom Music folder in Documents (or wherever your sims mod subfolders are located). That way you can have music playing still and can even decide what you'll hear per station! Example: Drive:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Custom Music
I feel like the sims team really had a wake up call after wedding stories and im really appreciative of the new efforts they are putting in. Its not perfect by a long shot but my playing experience has been so much better in the last 3-ish months
something i think would go well with the pool update is an option to "rinse off" in the shower with swimwear on. i feel like it would add some realism, since no one likes having chlorine all over their bodies after swimming

I honestly started tearing up when you explain your project and how it already collected money before even officially starting. I actually knew the project from other simmer ytber. It is exciting that more people are aware of the terrible thing happen in the world and actually do something to help. Thank you for arranging the fundraising project. Yes! Depending on the sim and preference they can choose what to use but to make it all neutral doesn't seem right to me.. especially with teens most teen relationships would be "boy/girl friends" not "partner "😅
I feel like, for inclusivity, they didn't need to get rid of the "wife/husband/fiancee/girlfriend/boyfriend" thing. It should have been an option to choose because if you have to get rid of one to and another then it's still not inclusive.
Im SO glad actually that you can turn on romance and friendship changes in the neighborhood stories. Im playing a super sim challenge and my sim has outlived a few generations by now. I'm trying to get villainous valentine but literally everyone in the world is single and i REFUSE to change this manually just so i can break them up for an aspiration
I’m LOSING MY MIND over these updates!! I’ve been playing since the beginning of time, the original The Sims and this update is a game changer (literally). I am so impressed with all that they’ve done. They are listening to us. I’m so excited for this update and the future of the sims. ❤
my personal favorite cc eyelash glitch is one where it causes your sims faces to disappear, leaving behind a set of floating teeth, so lets hope the new eyelash category makes that a thing of the past
The update broke my game, making it completely unplayable, lost my save files, and lost all of the event reward items. I'm actually so beyond upset right now. I loved using the new trash can, trait, and single tile bar. I'd pay real-life money just to have those 3 items back.
I wish we could have both non-gender neutral and gender neutral language. Some sims might be partners but others might be husband and wife. Why can’t both exist at the same time? 6:51
Yeah I personally cannot stand being called a "partner".. it sounds so cold and gross to me. There's no reason they couldn't have left all the options in. It's easier to just replace everything though since they can just find and replace terms easily. I just wish games would not force gender neutral terms upon everyone.. just give us the option to see what we want. I'm tired of seeing "Type 1" or "Type 2" for male/female. I'm not "type 1" I'm a male.. I know others will like that but not everyone does so why do we have to cater to the ones that don't like it and screw over everyone that does like it?
Simsie showed in her gameplay vid I think that we can manually change how we are referred to while in game. So maybe it says partners but you can change it so you're called "wife".
@@Eventide215 double checked it's called a custom relationship label, it appears you can type anything. The default being neutral seems fine considering all Sims are bi/pan as a base as well.
@@nerdycurls6253 Being bi/pan doesn't equal gender neutral though. The issue is when you have the custom labels they don't work as well with the grammar. The gender neutral stuff should be a custom label considering it's different from how language actually works.
The "apply all" tool will make the randomly generated townies so much easier and faster to makeover! I often have to open them in CAS just to get rid of their horrid accessories and makeup lol.
This update has completely bugged out my game...and apparently many others. Ever since the recent update the UI is very glitchy. Some of the panels (simology/ relationships) can either not be opened or stay open while another gets layered on top. Sometimes it is impossible to switch the active sims and the moodlets are not displayed properly but only show as blue boxes with no text. Once these glitches start happening, I have to restart my game. I'm hoping they get a patch to fix this soon.
@@AutisticKittyStar Unfortunately, even unmodded, it still does this. On the reddit forum/EA forum, many people (including myself), have removed mods to see if that was the case, and it isn't. The update is definitely going to need a patch to fix it.
I've only seen one modder update their CC eyelashes so far (twisted cat), to put them in the lashes category, and they said "Unfortunately, the textures will still conflict with rings and glasses, as the texture areas were not changed with the new update." If that's true, that is SUCH a bummer!! I assumed this was finally gonna be fixed and was so happy about it...
This update for "apply all" was a must and will help make your sim in CAS, instead of spending 2 hours and a limited gameplay time! the pool curve tool is also so nice.
I updated the game and it has some MAJOR issues. The simology and career panels for teens is broken, and once I try clicking on it then I can't open the game menu to save, quit, or do anything. It's unplayable at the moment since I can't save any progress. Found that out the hard way.
Luckily I managed to save my game by going to 'save and go tomanage worlds'. It did not go to manage worlds and completely broke the game lmao but it did save
I was so excited for the update today and it broke my game 🤦🏻♀️ no MODS or CC and multiple repairs ran and all the UI is super buggy. Reported it immediately but nothing so far. I hope the team can figure it out soon 😭 I’ll live vicariously through you lilsimsie 🙌🏻
My game is also completely broken. I had to refresh a bunch of times and even then it kept glitching and wouldn’t let me save or anything. The buttons at the bottom are all opposite. Was looking to see if anyone else had the same problem

having a nice ponytail for kids is honestly so needed and realistic! when i was little and had longer hair, i would always put it up so it wouldn't get in the way when i was out playing. i can see myself using that a ton :)
I’m so upset with the new update. My game was working perfectly fine before I downloaded it and I don’t use mods or cc. As soon as I updated my game nothing will save. I can’t go to manage worlds or the screen goes black. I found a thread where a bunch of people are reporting the same problem. I’ve spent so much money on the sims- I’m so sad!
I’ve been waiting for the “apply all” feature for soooo long bro!! Like I always wondered if there was a secret hotkey or a cheat, but this is such a life saver
Never thought I'd get excited about eyelashes but here we are lol. Despite some flops, it does feel like they're listening to us more and it feels good. Also I'll be using that "Apply to all" button for every sim I make thank you. It was annoying to try and make sure I had the right glasses as the everyday outfit did lol. I'm sure they changed sometimes.
Ohmygosh I haven’t played this game in over a year but one thing I always wanted when I used to play was that ability for non played sims to get into relationships autonomously! I’m wanting to start playing again and I’m so glad this feature was added! I hated having to go into different households and cheat their relationships then go back and click them as unplayed just to get back to my original household I wanted to play. This and all the CAS updates are so exciting!
as someone who uses a lot of cc, and specifically downloaded a script to be able to copy one outfit over to all the other outfits, im soooo glad base game now has the ability to copy and paste stuff over to other outfits. the eyelash category is going to be amazinggg
Came back just to report after the update but I am having an issue with a bug where after a certain amount of time in the game I can't open up SIMs inventory or tabs for most everything
I didn't have that problem with CC eyelashes because I used the skin detail version, they were glitchy with some things but not glasses or rings, CC skin detail eyelash would apply across all outfits but it's good that it has it's own category because you can change how the lashes look depending on the makeup look
as a console player, i’m so excited to use eyelashes! i dreamed the Sims would add eyelashes to the game and now that they finally did it all of my sims will be getting eyelashes.

That'll be great for cross-pack compatibility between For Rent and Lovestruck, letting us turn the penthouse lots in Nuevo Corazon into apartments

A lot of queer people fought really hard to call someone their girlfriend or their husband, so I prefer spouse as the default but it would be nice if we could toggle it in CAS or the sim's profile on the simology tab, just like how sims are bi/pan by default but you can adjust it

there's a relationship label creator in the relationship menu. if you look at her playthrough video it's at the one hour 19 minute (1:19:00) mark. looks like you can type anything
if i remember correctly you can actually change the name of relationship labels in live mode!! your sims would still be dating, they'd just refer to each other as boyfriend/girlfriend instead of partners

I'm very happy Maxis keep pushing for my inclusivity in the game, especially when so many gamers whine about it so much these days, but I wish they didn't erase the old terms too. I want my lesbians cowgirls to be wives and not partners 😔 inclusivity means having all the options available for people to choose what best fits them, so I would like to still choose the other labels. I hope they update it again
I'm also disappointed they removed the girlfriend/boyfriend terms from the game. They could have had it as partner by default but be able to set a term that will then override it. Hopefully they'll add this back in, I'm not sure if anyone will be able to mod it.

As a Polyamorous person, seeing that the romantic boundaries tab being added to the sims made me so so happy. This game is a life Sim and so much of my life wasn't able to be represented before. I can't wait to make me and my partners in the sims! ❤😊

For Streamers: Add royalty free music to your Custom Music folder in Documents (or wherever your sims mod subfolders are located). That way you can have music playing still and can even decide what you'll hear per station!
Example: Drive:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Custom Music
I feel like the sims team really had a wake up call after wedding stories and im really appreciative of the new efforts they are putting in. Its not perfect by a long shot but my playing experience has been so much better in the last 3-ish months

something i think would go well with the pool update is an option to "rinse off" in the shower with swimwear on. i feel like it would add some realism, since no one likes having chlorine all over their bodies after swimming
I am a casual viewer sometimes check your channel to learn more about the sims update but never would I imagine that you will start some fundraiser for good. cause. I honestly started tearing up when you explain your project and how it already collected money before even officially starting. I actually knew the project from other simmer ytber. It is exciting that more people are aware of the terrible thing happen in the world and actually do something to help. Thank you for arranging the fundraising project.

Yes! Depending on the sim and preference they can choose what to use but to make it all neutral doesn't seem right to me.. especially with teens most teen relationships would be "boy/girl friends" not "partner "😅

my personal favorite cc eyelash glitch is one where it causes your sims faces to disappear, leaving behind a set of floating teeth, so lets hope the new eyelash category makes that a thing of the past
The update broke my game, making it completely unplayable, lost my save files, and lost all of the event reward items. I'm actually so beyond upset right now. I loved using the new trash can, trait, and single tile bar. I'd pay real-life money just to have those 3 items back.

Yeah I personally cannot stand being called a "partner".. it sounds so cold and gross to me. There's no reason they couldn't have left all the options in. It's easier to just replace everything though since they can just find and replace terms easily. I just wish games would not force gender neutral terms upon everyone.. just give us the option to see what we want. I'm tired of seeing "Type 1" or "Type 2" for male/female. I'm not "type 1" I'm a male.. I know others will like that but not everyone does so why do we have to cater to the ones that don't like it and screw over everyone that does like it?
Simsie showed in her gameplay vid I think that we can manually change how we are referred to while in game. So maybe it says partners but you can change it so you're called "wife".

@@Eventide215 double checked it's called a custom relationship label, it appears you can type anything. The default being neutral seems fine considering all Sims are bi/pan as a base as well.
@@nerdycurls6253 Being bi/pan doesn't equal gender neutral though. The issue is when you have the custom labels they don't work as well with the grammar. The gender neutral stuff should be a custom label considering it's different from how language actually works.
The "apply all" tool will make the randomly generated townies so much easier and faster to makeover! I often have to open them in CAS just to get rid of their horrid accessories and makeup lol.
This update has completely bugged out my game...and apparently many others. Ever since the recent update the UI is very glitchy. Some of the panels (simology/ relationships) can either not be opened or stay open while another gets layered on top. Sometimes it is impossible to switch the active sims and the moodlets are not displayed properly but only show as blue boxes with no text. Once these glitches start happening, I have to restart my game. I'm hoping they get a patch to fix this soon.
Mods tend to break the UI
@@AutisticKittyStar Unfortunately, even unmodded, it still does this. On the reddit forum/EA forum, many people (including myself), have removed mods to see if that was the case, and it isn't. The update is definitely going to need a patch to fix it.
I've only seen one modder update their CC eyelashes so far (twisted cat), to put them in the lashes category, and they said "Unfortunately, the textures will still conflict with rings and glasses, as the texture areas were not changed with the new update." If that's true, that is SUCH a bummer!! I assumed this was finally gonna be fixed and was so happy about it...
This update for "apply all" was a must and will help make your sim in CAS, instead of spending 2 hours and a limited gameplay time! the pool curve tool is also so nice.

I updated the game and it has some MAJOR issues. The simology and career panels for teens is broken, and once I try clicking on it then I can't open the game menu to save, quit, or do anything. It's unplayable at the moment since I can't save any progress. Found that out the hard way.
Luckily I managed to save my game by going to 'save and go tomanage worlds'. It did not go to manage worlds and completely broke the game lmao but it did save
I was so excited for the update today and it broke my game 🤦🏻♀️ no MODS or CC and multiple repairs ran and all the UI is super buggy. Reported it immediately but nothing so far. I hope the team can figure it out soon 😭 I’ll live vicariously through you lilsimsie 🙌🏻
My game is also completely broken. I had to refresh a bunch of times and even then it kept glitching and wouldn’t let me save or anything. The buttons at the bottom are all opposite. Was looking to see if anyone else had the same problem

having a nice ponytail for kids is honestly so needed and realistic! when i was little and had longer hair, i would always put it up so it wouldn't get in the way when i was out playing. i can see myself using that a ton :)
I’m so upset with the new update. My game was working perfectly fine before I downloaded it and I don’t use mods or cc. As soon as I updated my game nothing will save. I can’t go to manage worlds or the screen goes black. I found a thread where a bunch of people are reporting the same problem. I’ve spent so much money on the sims- I’m so sad!

Never thought I'd get excited about eyelashes but here we are lol. Despite some flops, it does feel like they're listening to us more and it feels good.
Also I'll be using that "Apply to all" button for every sim I make thank you. It was annoying to try and make sure I had the right glasses as the everyday outfit did lol. I'm sure they changed sometimes.
I'm updating the game rn, i recommend to move the MODS folder and after the update you put it back.

Ohmygosh I haven’t played this game in over a year but one thing I always wanted when I used to play was that ability for non played sims to get into relationships autonomously! I’m wanting to start playing again and I’m so glad this feature was added! I hated having to go into different households and cheat their relationships then go back and click them as unplayed just to get back to my original household I wanted to play. This and all the CAS updates are so exciting!

as someone who uses a lot of cc, and specifically downloaded a script to be able to copy one outfit over to all the other outfits, im soooo glad base game now has the ability to copy and paste stuff over to other outfits. the eyelash category is going to be amazinggg

Came back just to report after the update but I am having an issue with a bug where after a certain amount of time in the game I can't open up SIMs inventory or tabs for most everything

I didn't have that problem with CC eyelashes because I used the skin detail version, they were glitchy with some things but not glasses or rings, CC skin detail eyelash would apply across all outfits but it's good that it has it's own category because you can change how the lashes look depending on the makeup look
as a console player, i’m so excited to use eyelashes! i dreamed the Sims would add eyelashes to the game and now that they finally did it all of my sims will be getting eyelashes.
