This is the first time I Ever saw this thing lol Is this a joke just to see how many people will build it Lol I see where others used one But I never saw "1'' person Where they caught a fish on it Even they guy that was with you that day And when he did catch that Bass it was not turned on If it's true I will make me one I'm good with tools and electrical it looks very easy to make that would be easy to make solar or wind power are just the wave are rock of the boat Thanks for sharing bud
That isn't a bad design but that motor is overkill. You don't need to pull that many amps. Look on Amazon for the uxcell DC 12V 100RPM Worm Gear Motor 6mm Female Shaft High Torque Turbine Reducer and pair it with the RioRand Upgraded 6V-90V 15A DC Motor Pump Speed Controller. About $22 for the pair. Ran a thumper for 2 seasons on one with those components. I made and oblong lifter for the rubber mallet out of a piece of plastic cutting board reinforced with JB Weld for strength. The motor has a threaded hole on the shaft for a bolt to thread in. Put it all on a board setup like yours, then into a big ammo can.
Nice! We went full scrapyard build with what can we find around our buddies shop. Original went after a worm gear power seat motor but the wiper motor easier to access.
@@TexasCoastSportsman Completely get it! For your subs, the materials list from Amazon might help. The thumper does work very well, especially during the dead stick season. There will be NO fish under the boat and I can turn on my thumper and suddenly there they are. And they're stay there! I keep a spare mallet in the boat so if I forget my thumper or if it stops working I can manually beat on the floor and it works too. You just get tired of doing it
I need to finish the update video because we rebuilt the wood frame. The wiper motor model is unknown. We got it from a buddies junk pile. The switch was just a standard 2-way switch.
If you know what the donor vehicle for the motor was you can probably look up the wiring diagram. When grabbed the motor out of a buddies junk pile. So, we just started testing wires on a battery. If you email me a pic I'll see what I can do to help you figure out what wires go where.
@@TexasCoastSportsman of course. I love watching stuff like that even if I don't use it. I'm trying to get my 14ft vee boat setup to run in the San Antonio Bay
That would be awesome I have been using them for years and started selling them last year. They work to bring fish in but don’t always make them bite ... I have put a lot of effort into my design and would definitely tweak what you did to get better performance but yours should still work...

Many guides and friends in my area swear by it. But they say the best results are in fall and winter. No other time of the year

Have you tried on Saltwater for striped bass?
Haven't tried it on saltwater yet. The Gulf Coast doesn't have the striper like the north east.
Add programmable IC and beat out SOS (... - - - ...) Works great for attracting submarines. 😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣That's funny!
Hey, what make / model boat is that ? I really like it.

Could you guys send a list of items you used to make this. Just the major components,, motor switches etc. also how did you get the two speeds
Do you have directions and a list of parts to build the thumper?

I just don't see how that works
Great video, how do you wire the wiper motor/switch? I have 5 wires coming out of my motor

City boys should of built a paddle slapper while you were at it! 😂🤣
If we had a white trolling motor laying around we probably would have. Knowing Mike it'll have to be white to match the boat.
I hope you start making more videos like this
Video production is ramping back up this summer. Any interest in a no weld live scope mount?

Come up to Texoma with me and I will show you how it works!
When the craziness calms down, I may take you up so n that offer.

@@ericdulin5689you got a video?
I would try with Mozart ! 😅
I'm listening, maybe a bass drum with a foot peddle? Probably take up to much space on the boat.
also works great on white perch
Yes, crappie!
@@TexasCoastSportsman didnt know that
thanks
