  • Hey guys. Today I'm sharing my Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome Story. I want to share my experience, what it is, and how to tell if you might have it, and what to do because 1 in 4 people actually have the genetic traits that predispose them to this illness. 1 in 4!
    I also want to remind you that when I'm talking about the supplements I use to treat my illness are doctor supervised. Please make sure you consult with your doctor and do research prior to starting any treatment plan.

    If you have previous fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue, it makes it SO much worse! The owners used a fan just to dry if and it didn’t clear it. Aspergillum detrimentally affected my psychological moods, memory, etc. It is important to get a toxic torte , personal injury attorney , otherwise the corporate companies will bully you. ALWAYS get a jury hearing, my experience is that a judge can be very prejudiced. Good luck! Thank you Laura for the tips to heal. I thought my life was over, I was so sick .

      +De La Luna I agree. Infuriating! By the time we could move, I really knew my body well. So I only looked at homes between 5-7 years old - so that most new materials were off-gassed already- and if there was any smell of anything or anythign that bothered me at all, it was a no. I also have a great air inspector, but I didn't end up needing her! She later came over to help my mom with something and said she agreed my house was good!

      I'm so sorry. We are very poor and lived in a really old trailer with a really bad leaking roof that was like that before we even moved in and we lived there like at least 5-6 years. The last year was when everything got very noticeable and intense. We didn't have money to move or a vehicle to move our stuff but we luckily were able to move into a home. We don't have a lot of money and have lost a lot since all this has happened and we have a mean old land lord who is mean and is a sexual predator, and threatens us to leave. I don't know how long we will be able to stay here and it's really scary and nerve racking. I am so extremely thankful we got out of the our old place though. The place seriously needs to be condemned/destroyed. It was so bad that I wanted to move into a tent into our yard but it was winter. Thank the good Lord above for helping us!

    Today, after three years of symptoms that progressively got worse to the point where I can not step into my apartment, and multiple tests and “diagnosis,” after years of pain and financial hardship my Dr finally told me he thinks it’s mold, we are to begin tests next. I haven’t been in my home in weeks now as my body will not tolerate it any longer, (I go into an immediate flare/reaction) and my sons are there with out me as they have not had any reaction, the mold seems to be in my bedroom and my in my room bathroom. Dear God please let this finally be the answer to finding some relief so I can get back to my life. Thank you for sharing your story, it absolutely hits home. I’m glad you have found your safe home ♥️🙏🏼♥️

    Since childhood, we've always lived in or around dampish buildings, with no trouble. In 1983, 40 fellow servicemen volunteered to clean a "Drainage Ditch" in Mombasa, Kenya. Trash, Dead things, powerful smells and molds....No living flies. We were Demanded to leave when the Twentieth human bone was found. We all get very ill, due to Pesticides, Herbicides, Fire-retardants, Fertilizers......and many others. As I mentioned "No Living Flies". Since that TOXIC bath, we all were more sensitive to molds. My self, to this very day.

    I’ve been sick for months and they can’t figure out the problem. I’m very weak, faint, confused, losing weight, heavy periods, thyroid issues, anxiety, breathing issues, head aches, chest pains and most annoying sleep issues where my body jolts, twitches, weird facial movements and my brain not letting my exhausted self sleep. The room I sleep in has a leaky roof and I’ve always felt in my gut I have mold poisoning.
    Did you have sleep issues and do my symptoms seem like yours??

    It's so great to find people on RUclips sharing there story of Mold Exposure. I last apartment I lived I was exposed and it has cost alot of health issues, money, stress, pain, lost items, social life, and my insanity to name a few. My Chronic Fatigue is crazy and it's so hard to get through a work day. I have a new apartment now but the building is older than the last and no sure if I am still being exposed cause I am still having issues. I have been out of the old apartment a little over a year. I'm still dealing with doctors and testing. What would be some advice for other's that have been through this to get myself normal or close to? I am so glad that you decided to share your story and to be honest not many people are aware of the affects mold/toxic mold exposure can cause. Not even doctors are aware of the signs or really know how to cure it from the body. I have been taking supplements and trying to detox my body. I still want to get my apartment tested but money is so tight but I really want to have the reinsurance to know that I am no longer being exposed. I think it great what you are doing and us mold sufferers need to unite to know that we are not alone in this matter. I wish you the best and healing to everyone that has been affected.

      the uploader Hi, thanks for your comment. I had/have phlegm’s, fatigueness, & drowsiness.... saw a lot of Doctors for more than 4 years and they would all say my problem was sinus but they would do X rays and not much would show!!! They said I was going to have this problem forever! That I could only control it! Turned out I found a purse in my closet which I took to get cleaned and they told me it was full of mold!!! I haven’t seen a Dr just yet. I do need to check if that is my problem for sure but it does match with my symptoms!! I read and found that activated charcoAl and probiotics are great for mold which I started to take and made me feel better with my phlegm’s’!!! I still do feel very lazy tho!! Help

    Thank You for sharing. I was told I had a food mold allergy maybe 33 years ago. At that time I also had allergies to dust, weed, trees, ,molds, feathers, etc. Took injections for about 4 years. I had in my life lived in 5 new homes plus one new modular home. I think one of my main problems was when I moved into a home that had a crawl space. When I went to sell it found out after a inspection that the crawl place had much rotten wood and Thank God my insurance replaced it. Took them almost a week to replace. I worked at this time at a major grocery. During this time I knew certain soaps and perfumes caused me bad problems. Hurt my lungs, made me cough and I just felt terrible. After awhile I became worse. I broke 2 ribs twice at work and the first time I asked to go home and boss made me work the whole day as a cashier. By the end of that day I was in tears. So do hope that boss felt like an ass since he knew I never asked to leave saying I was not feeling well. Well, after the second time breaking my ribs at work the company made everyone sign a statement saying they were not responsible for any of the items that may have health issues or something similar to this. Been a long time ago now. They just did not want to be sued. Over the years I keep breaking down to more things since you can explain to people but either they lack a brain or do not care or swear they have not any scent on. I would not want to climb the wall if they did not. Do people think I want to complain or feel ill all the time? I just want to live my life as best as I can without breaking down to more. This past year or so I had to give up cable boxes, a large smart TV, a modem and one other thing I cannot not recall at the moment. I am to old to have to live on the street like some end up having to do with this illness. How can so many people be so cruel to people who have such an illness. Do not they know we really no longer have a normal life and they just make it worse on us by arguing to what they have on or by not visiting or acting like a friend. I know of people who do not come over because they cannot go without a certain item they use daily. BUT do not they realize that us with MCS and mold allergies must do without these products FOREVER. How can they treat people so mean or uncaring. I sure wish they could walk in my shoes for a week and wake up to what type of person they really are. For me I have owned the same car since 2003 because of the toxins in new cars and the plastics. I cannot go into others cars. Either because of it being new or what they clean it with or because the have had people in it with perfumes or they have smoked in it. I cannot go to a show, cannot travel by plane, bus, train, cab, etc. Can not go to a show because of the stuff people use on their bodies. I even have a hard time shopping and try just to go places where I can ring the times up myself. I do not want anyone with hand cream or fragrances to touch my food. I have even broke down to many places plastic bags. No longer can used Walmarts, Krogers or Fresh Thymes plastic bags. To many of them are recycled which can have anything in them including fragrance. Just what I want to eat. PERFUMES....so SICK.... My entertainment is now a 19 inch TV with no cable box. No movies, no plays, no parties, no travel, no church, no dinner places, no showers, no wedding, no funerals. Many flowers now make me ill. Pesticides and many fertilizers also cause me harm. I am registered with the state so when these companies are spraying or spreading certain chemicals they must call me 24 hours ahead to let me know. That way I can keep my home locked up or plan to be away for the day. Another thing I found very hard was having to have surgery with this illness. They know of my health issues and even Customer Relations does watch or tries to watch over me but still there is always one ass hole in the bunch. One nurse tried to jump me after my surgery about this. Very coldly came up to me and said I want to have words with you. I heard myself say in front of the other 2 in the room at that time. That would be fine that we talked but all I ask for is for it to be recorded. That really pissed her off and thought she was going to attack me right in my bed with me having at least a 6 inch cut down the front of me. The other 2 people in the room grabbed her and removed her. I than asked for the floor manager and was treated better than what I had been. People do not want to break their routine for anyone. They do not care your ill...they just want the pay check and to have everything go easy. I am getting older but I will speak up for myself and fight if I must but when I fight I am not only doing it for myself but anyone that may have this illness and end up in that same place. We all must stick together and not let people treat us so badly.

    I'm so glad I found your channel. I also was exposed to mold and have developed all kinds of health problems. I'm super sensitive to scents. Luckily, at work I'm okay and I work in a scent free place. My biggest trigger is scented laundry detergent. Tide and Gain is the worst and Febreeze. It's been quite a struggle since being exposed in 2001.

      +Carissa Hiebert That's great! oh my gosh...me too! Laundry detergents are so offensive! And if someone comes to visit my home I swear their laundry detergent scent lingers longer than perfume. You can make your own 2 ingredient laundry detergent with 2 cups of washing soda, 1 bar of Castile soap grated up with a cheese grater.
      Just mix them outside with a mask on cuz u don’t want to breathe the small particles.
      Washes better than tide! Non toxic, no smell!

    Amazing, we had 4-6" of standing water in my childhood home extra large basement anytime it would rain. My Mom thinks I am a hypochondriac because I have over 18 illnesses that are a related mold symptom. She thinks it's in my head, even though my blood levels and iron prove I am truly suck, throw up blood due to Gastroparesis and Bleeding Ulcers, A positive ANA showing I have Lupus, was dx'd with Narcolepsy and chronic fatigue via 2 long sleep studies, chronic inflamation in my body causing long term pain/weakness and on and on. My new home has black mold in about every room. Yet she gets so ticked if I mention that I think my life has been filled with high levels of mold and maybe that I have mold toxicity instead of many of my diagnosis. She claims that she would be sick if there was mold in our childhood home, since she is not then it's in my head. I am 44 and barely can get through the days anymore. I get so mad because she thinks the internet is stupid at 74 so she refuses to research anything that way or even get books from the library. Thanks for explaining how it affects some and not others. • @AndreaRuralMN
      @AndreaRuralMN 7 лет назад +1

      Yes, can't afford to move either. I'm not doing well on taking the charcoal regularly because it needs to be taken hours apart from food and other supplements or it will block the absorption of them. I've started both claritin and zyrtec daily and that helps the allergy a bit. Vitamins that reduce inflammation and are calming help too, magnesium, potassium, zinc, all B vitamins, A, E, omega oils (I take 3,6,9). Diet helps a lot too. On days when I can stay low carb and off of processed foods my head is much clearer and more energy. I try to use as much coconut oil as I can and have even eaten it by the spoonful to help clear my head.. I hope this helps, do your own research though, I'm not a health professional...

      AJ Steele , I can't juice or have smoothies because they're too high carb for me. 13 years ago I had gastric bypass so the sugar in those will hit my bloodstream fast, then I'll release too much insulin to bring it down and then my blood sugar gets too low. I've had seizures because of this too. Good luck with your health journey!

    SSKI worked for me. Still need to get out of my house. We did remediation, but the company did not get it all.
    I started on Rejuvica 2,694mcgs potassium iodide. It started giving me instant relief!! Lugols is not strong enough.
    Then it got expensive & I started making my own SSKI. I gradually lowered my dosage( got to be careful with your kidneys).
    •Taking Bentonite clay caps
    •Taking enzymes to dissolve biofilms.
    •Fasting a lot. Eating high fiber fruit smoothies.
    •Using Baking soda & water protocol found her on RUclips.
    •Also take Braggs ACV for live enzymes.
    •Sealed off my vent & keep my windows open. I get out Every Day for a few hrs of fresh air!!! Get outside & get moving it stops the depression. The Potassium iodide has been a life saver.
    •Got on St. John's Wort. Ordered a huge bag 1000 caps 500mgs each from the flower off ebay.

Prices seem to be going down since school started, so I am praying I will be able to get out of this mess asap. I also have fibromyalgia, CFS, SFN, interstitial cystitis, bii, migraines increased depression and anxiety. I also found out that I am allergic to molds. I went to an allergist and he told me that I need to move asap. He is yet to see a mold specialist deal with mold properly in the city that I live.

    Are you aware of any accurate air quality testers that can detect mold? I have been going on a year thinking I've just had adrenal fatigue, but just now finding out that it's because I'm sensitive to mold. That said, I'm just curious how to go about knowing when you should avoid certain areas that may not have the musty smell, etc.

    • @laurasnaturallife
      @laurasnaturallife  7 лет назад +2

      Yes! I actually just did a podcast interview with my air inspector on this (it's not out yet). You will want to look for a building biologist to come test, if possible. If there isn't one in your area, many will do a phone consult and send you test kits to do yourself and then do another phone call to go over the tests. The building biologists really know much more about a building's health than the average mold inspector or air inspector.

    My dad has been dealing with this for years and years. He lived in a house in the country that had a ton of mold. But he moved out two years ago and is only getting worse. He now sleeps in his metal stripped van at night. He can’t even drink carbonated drinks anymore. He wakes up every night with fluid in his lungs and coughs violently all day. He now has kidney and liver problems. He has edema and very painful neuropathy in feet and torso. He only sleeps 3 hours a night from the pain and having to pee all night long. No one believes him even though they see his liver, Ige and kidney levels elevated. They say it’s all in his mind. His life has been ruined. He’s exhausted and in a state of despair. I don’t know what to do for him anymore. He’s been doing all the detoxes and binders and gotten rid of all of his furniture. He’s always been a strong and healthy good man, he’s now weak and scared. Doctors have treated him like a child. Please someone help me help him.

    this is a great video and explains what I'm going through, so first of all thank you very much for getting this out there for people that are having problems and don't know what it is.
    I live in public housing and they claim that they had this place tested before I moved here but they refuse to show me the results I have called several mold companies to have it tested myself and pay for it but they will not do it because housing will not give them permission to test my home what do I do I am just beside myself with all this. I have pictures I have videos I have conversations I've recorded with the maintenance men they cleaned out my vents but they said there was dust and nicotine or whatever in these places are very old but I think the dust that they pulled out of these vents was actually mold mites because I have seen the mold mites and I know that mold mites only exist when there is a large very very large amount of mold. I believe it's in the AC unit because I turned off my heating in February and turn the AC unit on in May and by June 3rd I was already feeling effects of mold again. I was moved from an apartment that had seven different kinds of mold on a petri dish and they didn't argue with me they didn't say it was mold but they didn't move me which is shows to me that that is evidence that there was mold because they moved me without me even requesting to be moved and then put me in an apartment that has structural damage. My apartment gets all the runoff water from all the other apartments and my apartment on the outside is so wet on the ground on my side because it's a duplex that there's Moss growing underneath my window sill on the ground and constantly wet never dries I have condensation a foot out from the walls on the inside of my home and it was so moist in here that I actually have mold spores and mold on my mattress the underneath side of my mattress and the box springs as well so it's gone up through the box springs onto the mattress so I finally got rid of that mattress whenever I got a new one that's how I noticed that there was mold on it. I have tried to find a personal injury lawyer because I'm scarred now from the rashes and the sores and I can't find a lawyer that will take my case in this county or in the state I don't understand that I don't know if they don't want to fight Housing authority or or what if anybody in Missouri has any answers to how I can get a lawyer for this please let me know. I have been bullied I feel I've been lied to I have been shown no test results of my other home or this home they told me that if I thought there was mold to move that was their answer for this. My mental issues are so bad my anxiety my depression my fatigue my nose runs when I'm here when I'm gone it doesn't I sneeze I have a chronic cough I have thickening of my lungs walls, I have been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism but I don't have the symptoms of hyperthyroidism I have all the symptoms of hypothyroidism the weight gain the the fatigue etc. I have difficulty swallowing my body feels like it's on fire all the time like I'm hot all the time I have sweats like somebody trying to faucet on over my head when I do anything physical so it's hard for me to exercise I can't walk more than a block without being out of air. If this sounds to you like mold toxicity please reassure me that that's what this is or sounds like this is I am beside myself I'm miserable I'm unhappy I feel like I'm going crazy.
    Thank you anybody who reads this and can comment.

    I was wondering if you could answer a quick question for me. I have searched and searched for the answer to this and can't seem to find any discussion on it - Do skincare products feed the mold in your body? Assuming of course that the mold hasn't made it's way into the kidneys or parts of the body thereafter in terms of processing? I'm really trying to pull out all the stops with my recovery and was very curious about this. Thank you for any help you may be able to provide! 🙏

    • @laurasnaturallife
      @laurasnaturallife  5 лет назад

      I'm not sure I understand your question entirely. If the materials where the mold is living are removed has been done correctly that would be fine. If you are merely painting over mold it will continue to be a problem from everything I've learned.

    Mold and yeast spores are no joke. If anyone can't figure out why they are sick ensure you have no mold or spores present. One thing I found was moldy bagels and bread in my home and didnt know it and yeast spores had started to form that I found and were making me very sick..my body was always inflammed and on high alert and I had all kinds of problems this lady's video mentions. The worst problem I had was joint, muscle and body pains. It literally felt like my body was turning on me...but it was probably warning me something was wrong.

    I was researching your suggestion for a friend for bentonite clay powder to detoxify and found this on google
    According to the Best Bentonite website, customers mix the product with water and ingest it or apply it to their skin. FDA laboratories have found elevated levels of lead in “Best Bentonite Clay.” Exposure to lead can cause serious damage to the central nervous system, kidneys, and immune system.
    Did you know this?

It gets cleaned every week with dawn dish soap because it takes the paint off of the tub (my boyfriend showers everyday from working a very dirty job and gets paint all over him)

    Nah I don't think you need to have the gene for it. I just think you have to eat those foods for awhile as well as live in a place with mold problems and it will get out of hand and start to take a toll on your health. I'm living proof that my problems didn't get bad until about 4 years when I was 22 due to factors such as an unhealthy lifestyle and the house I'm still currently in which deals with flooding at times due to too much rain and maybe other problems I'm not aware of. Now when I'm around people they rub their nose or cough at times and I think it's because of the overloaded mold toxicity my body is fighting and other problems it has created such as candida overload and possibly even parasites. It all goes hand in hand. Anyways great video and to everyone who is dealing with this, just stay strong and keep detoxing and eating as healthy as you can. Much love

      @@Pauline_mrt Hi, yes I have been poisoned by toxic mold for a lot of years. I moved several times. I don't know if there is still a significant mycotoxins load in my body, I continue to do detox. The only symptom that has improved is that I gained weight (I was very slimmed, I was dying). But I still feel very sick. The thing is that my infections are my big issue: I have a severe SIBO and Lyme. My liver is also very sick due to the illness. I just started a treatment for SIBO with a naturopath from Montreal (remote appointments).

I had to go to the ER once but all they did was rehydrate me with an iv hah. so if i'm any indication, yes it is higher risk but it wasn't lethal!

    Every single friend and family member (and doctor) thinks I'm crazy or too anxious.... I have had mold spore tests performed in my home and aspergillus/penicillum is at 67,000 per cubic cm for 5 minute test and doctors still attribute my symptoms to anxiety. Nice.... Now I've develoed a true tested allergy too 2 different species of dust mites which feels different than mold spores. Dust mites itch and no amount of meds can allow me to breathe. Mold, which I can also smell on someone from many feet away, hurt. I'm still living in my mold infested home after $20K of remediation. I've liquidated all assets but can't find a dust/mold free environment in which to live. My husband died early as have most of my family members so I have a zero support network. I will be on the street in a matter of months. I truly wish there were support groups for this.... It's not even a disability....

      Until you can move out my tips from personally going through this is to stay as far away from the worst area in the house or problem area, I had to stay out of my bedroom after months of suffering so bad, and staying with family or friends as much as possible to stay away from it. As soon as I went back home though it would start right back immediately.

    Does it smell kind of like soil/dirt? I just found black mold in my laundry room and I've been thinking I have a thyroid or adrenal condition. Anyway, it definitely smelled like soil when I moved my washing machine, but sometimes our clothes have a slight earthy smell, so I'm wondering if that's the smell you're talking about.

    • @laurasnaturallife
      @laurasnaturallife  7 лет назад

      Mmmmm it could. It depends what the mold is eating, if that makes sense. Do you have a front loader? A lot of times those front loader rubber rings can get moldy. You can replace that part!

    • @GeminiRhiannon
      @GeminiRhiannon 7 лет назад

      Laura's Natural Life It's a toploader. The problem is that the drain in the wall overflows. The mold is all over a plywood pedestal that the washer is sitting on. My landlord is supposed to be sending a plumber so we can then remediate.

    Very interesting. Great video. Now, I don't think I have this, I have 0 of the symptoms and neither does anyone I know personally but I am going to send this video to my sister and mom and see if they are interested. I just have a question, I have black mold (Not the scary bad black mold, just mold that is black) in my shower, my house was recently renovated about two years ago, plus before it got renovated it had black mold in the drywall, I haven't had any reactions and I am perfectly fine in that sense. I am sorry you have to go through what you go through. Just remind yourself and give yourself affirmations "I am toxin free, my body is clean and healthy, my body is cleansed and I am healthy" etc. That will help you more than you think!! My question is, how do I get rid of the mold on my tile in my shower without disturbing it? We had a mold guy in and he said that it is harmless mold that as long as we keep it wet while we are cleaning it that hydrogen peroxide will kill it. I am however allergic to penicillin (a mold) so I don't feel comfortable cleaning my shower. My mom says she is going to do it and wear a mask and such but it is right beside my bedroom. We have two showers so I haven't used this one in months so I haven't been breathing it but it needs to be dealt with asap. What do you suggest I do? On the other hand my boyfriends bedroom (he is sleeping in his living room until it is fixed) has a massive mold problem, it smells so beyond musty and mildew esc, it needs serious takeover lol, he is a carpenter and plans to take all of the drywall down soon to see if he can find it... Hmmm... Not to sure what to do LOL sorry for the long comment. Hope you are well!

    • @laurasnaturallife
      @laurasnaturallife  8 лет назад

      +serena moon Thank you! I agree affirmations do help. Well, honestly my advice is to move or hire a professional! It sounds harsh. I wouldn't know how to get rid of the mold in the shower without disturbing it into other areas of the home. Hydrogen Peroxide won't kill mold, because even dead mold releases mycotoxins. All mold, must & mildew is mold and releases toxins. I've worked with so many different air inspectors on this and the ones who know what they're doing say the same. There's no difference and they're all bad :( Luckily it sounds like it's not taking you down, healthwise! Sorry I can't give practical help on remediation for you!

    • @hhoneymilk
      @hhoneymilk 8 лет назад

      Laura's Natural Life It's no problem! You only know so much but I appreciate your honesty and your reply. I cannot move. My mom and I have lived in this house my entire life and it was my fathers before he passed. It means way too much to us. And to me, it's a bit too far to move out just because of mold in the shower or a specific room (unless it was serious like it was in your case). I will have to hire a professional but the fact that this one particular mold guy we hired said that hydrogen peroxide will work than I don't know what to say. I do believe you when you say real professionals will tell you, you cannot kill mold. But that seems unrealistic to me. You have to be able to kill mold, it can't just be there forever and you give up on it. Every single thing I have read online about getting rid of mold says to use either bleach, hydrogen peroxide, white vinegar, etc. The guy who came here says that there is no point in hiring them because it's a simple thing that we can do as long as we keep the mold WET while we are cleaning it, than the spores cannot be air born. So now I am confused. Lol. But thanks anyways!

    • @laurasnaturallife
      @laurasnaturallife  8 лет назад

      +serena moon Sorry for the confusion! I can understand that your home is sentimental for sure. Unfortunately, I can only give advice from my own experience and knowledge. Not sure how else to tell you to proceed. Best of luck! I hope you can find someone to give you good advice on how to clean it.
