You can also buy transparent sticker/labels and print directly onto it to avoid all of these steps. It ends up being a transparent sticker anyway. I used to make them all of the time for marketing. You can buy them at most office supply stores. I always purchased them from Staples. I also used an ink jet printer in case others don’t have access to a laser jet printer. Just be careful not to smear the ink and let it dry well before handling. I never had any issues but I’m sure clear spray paint or Mod Podge after they dry may help. I used clear spray paint for ink jet photos onto wood. I followed her steps but used several coats of the clear spray paint before Mod Podging it onto the wood. They turned out phenomenal. I’m all about working smarter not harder. I hope this helps someone else.

Does this mean you are printing on top of the labels? Could you cut down clear contact and print on that? I have an ink jet printer. Can you maybe upload a pic to show me what you use? Ty so much! 🤗

What kind of spray did u use? Im having problems finding exactly the right spray. Saw that Mod Podge has a spray now but don't know if it is a "fixative" spray that will keep the ink from smearing when painting on the top layer of Mod Podge. Ive heard people saw to use a clear varathane, artist paint fixative & even hair spray?
I only have inkjet also & want to copy vintage greeting card image onto glass.

On glass or any non-porous items like a piggy bank, or ceramic tile.. I use transfer paper. It's a water decal paper that you can print directly on to from a laser printer. Then you just follow the directions, also it's really nice if you use a glossy clear coat over it, I recommend krylon, it dissolves the backing and makes it look seamless. Love your creativity! Thank you for sharing so much of your time and talent with all of us!

Couldn’t you reverse print directly onto the carrier paper(label backing paper) and apply directly to the surface of choice? It would probably need to be sealed afterwards if it’s going to be handled. But if placed on the inside of the glass it should be okay. Also could possibly try printing on a page protector or the old report covers with the slide on plastic spine. Worth a shot. My laser printer isn’t being cooperative lately to try it out. Maybe Deidre has already tried this and can let us know her results. Cheers from FL😺

Would it work on wax paper?
    Wow that does look easy
I did take a piece of wax paper and ironed it on a piece of material and then ran it through my printer. It came out great.

You could save the shiny backing paper you removed, to print on for another project instead of using the shiny backing paper from label sheets making the page protector do double duty

Thank you, this is great! Question… couldn’t you just use freezer paper cut to the paper size, rather than having to buy the labels for the backing?

I find that it does not work well on freezer paper it’s soaks into much

question - so the ink does not go off the plastic? You keep the plastic on the glas?

@@OurUpcycledLife ok - thx. Was a bit in doubt. Would love if it could be without the plastic - but I understand the issues of print on glas. BR Dorte
