Hi again! My husband set up my UST projector and I got Project and Cut. I was able to follow the instructions and just a few min ago projected and cut out a shorts pattern. But I wasn’t sure how to exit the program in a way that it will save my calibration setting, so here I am watching your video again! Thank you again for making this clear video on how to use this software. I was using a Ditto successfully, but some things have changed, which inspired me to look into using a UST projector. Project and cut and using a UST that is affordable have created a true game changer for my sewing. People like you have made a difference too
Another great video. It might be worth clarifying at the end that the Forever License is for this version & it's upgrades. Clint has said if there are major changes in the future he would release a new version & that would be a new license charge. I'm not sure if I've phrased that right - but like Affinity Designer was one price & had lots of updates. Then they released Affinity Designer 2 & that was a new licence cost
Yes, that is true. Like most non subscription programs major upgrades will require another purchase. But, you could continue using the version you had a license too. I’ll add it in the show notes!
The programs are rapidly changing and developing. They both are free to try, so that’s the best way to decide right now! As developments stabilize a bit, I may do a more in-depth comparison.
A wireless mouse is nice to have, but not necessary. You can use a regular mouse by your computer or even the arrow keys to adjust the position. A second pair of eyes can be handy if you can’t see a corner while at your computer 😉.
HELP Please. When trying to calibrate my mat, I cannot get the upper left corner onto my laptop screen. I can get the other corners just fine but the left upper corner is out of my screen and I can't get it down onto my screen in order to calibrate it.
If you are on a computer you can use the Tab key to select the corners, then move it onto your screen using the arrow keys. There’s also a new recenter option. It looks like arrows in a square.
I can't get the Layers function to work. After I use Uncheck All and then choose my Layers nothing shows up? Can anyone help? Using UST and Windows 10, HDMI to projector.
Hmm, does it happen on different patterns or just one in particular. Scroll down in the layers panel and see if there are duplicate layers in the file. If that doesn’t fix it, you can tag Clinton Blackmore in a post in the Projectors For Sewing Facebook group.

Thank you for the information on how to use this.

Let's hope Affinity keep the Forever licence now they have sold out to Canva, they say they will but who knows.
I’ve been struggling with projecting my patterns. Just not enjoying the process. I’m hoping this program will change that. Thank you for the video
You got this! This program helps you to get past calibration and onto cutting faster!
Thank you! Could you do a comparison between this program and pattern project? Two similar software for this job. TIAS

Do you need a wireless mouse and keypad to get started with the free trial?

Thank you for your reply and yes it was just this one pattern. I contacted Clinton and he was very helpful. Thanks again. Julie
