      @projectorsewing  6 месяцев назад +1

      You’re welcome! I don’t have plans to reproduce the video in Inkscape. But I do have several videos on my channel to get you started using Inkscape, then you should be able to easily transfer this video process to Inkscape.

    When I open Affinty Designer2 I am not given the option to “Place” my uploaded photos. That command is greyed out. The “Import Content” button is able to be chosen but I can’t import my photos using that command. Any suggestions ?

      Check that you are in designer persona and not pixel or export persona. This is at the top left corner. Also, make sure you have an art board (blank page open). Hopefully that helps!

    My phone only has grid lines and no cross hairs. Can I just make sure it's flat?

    • @projectorsewing
      @projectorsewing  4 месяца назад

      Yes, try to take the photo as level as possible. You’ll need to measure the picture and pattern to ensure accuracy.

    So , if you don't have a quilting ruler, can I just use something else that I place on the image that I can measure?

    • @projectorsewing
      @projectorsewing  6 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, absolutely! It’s best if you can have a horizontal and vertical dimension that you can use to check. That’s why I like a quilting ruler that has both height and width. But, tape measure, mat with a grid, and yard sticks can work well too.

    These are good instructions, just make sure you do not share these patterns with anyone else. Digitising commercial patterns is breaking copyright law, as you are changing the format.

    • @projectorsewing
      @projectorsewing  6 месяцев назад +3

      I’m not a copyright lawyer and can’t give you advice one way or another. In my opinion, if you retain the copy of the original pattern while you use the digital version it is personal use. Patterns themselves are not copyrightable. But, I don’t think you should ever digitize and then sell the paper pattern.

      @@projectorsewing Come on😂😂😂. That's laughable. What if you don't care for excess paper. People can do whatever they want with their property.
