Thanks for the information....very helpful especially since Im not so familiar with the older Sig pistols. You have some of the best complete rigs I have seen.
@solacikugur personally I prefer the p49s because of the history behind them, others may prefer something completely different but that's the great thing about collecting
Bonjour, comment est-il possible de manier une arme sans que le cran de sureté soit activé? Ce n'est pas une façon d’éduquer les tireurs. Le P210, contrairement à d'autres armes permet d'utiliser le cran de sureté en toutes circonstances!
The Transitional model should have the flat slide stop, like that of the 1st variation. Along with the serial number range and grip escutcheons (which you correctly point out), the flat slide stop is a telltale feature of the Transitional model.
@solacikugur If you are asking about the variations of Armee P210's, the 1st variation with high gloss finish and wooden grips fetch higher prices than the 2nd series pistol with matte finish and plastic grips. There are also many more 2nd series pistols and they aren't as old. Among the 1st variation pistols, there were 3 delivery batches to the War Technical Section. So the 1st variation pistols will usually be subdivided into 1st, 2nd and 3rd delivery KTA. The first and second delivery batches hadn't a half-cock but some were retrofitted with a newer trigger group (which can also lead to mismatched trigger groups). The 3rd delivery batch will have the half-cock from the factory and should therefore always have matching serial numbers. Sometimes the 3rd batch can fetch a slight premium, but most of the 1st variation pistols go for about the same price, granted they are in the same condition and will always command higher prices than 2nd series pistols.
@@benjamindurham3039 Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I like version 4 and it's easier to find. Do you think I can experience the quality and feel of the 1st generation?
@solacikugur The 2nd variation is still a great pistol and is going to shoot like a 1st variation. Also the plastic grips can be changed for wooden grips of all sorts. The sights on both pistols will also be the same. The matte finish is also quite nice in its own right. It makes the pistol look two-toned. Not sure in which country you live, but if you can get a P210 2nd variation because it is cheaper and there are more of them, go for it. You are still getting the Rolls-Royce of pistols.

I read the mold dates in the grips is some indication of when they were assembled. The grips being as much as 2 years older.

No idea. I'd be happy just to find one for half of what they're bringing now...
Thank you for this superb video. Are there any definitive books on this pistol?
Das Große Buch Der Sig Pistolen an out of print book by Vetter, is by far the best. Thank you for your support!
Thank you!
Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed the video.
Thank you so much for the information. Very helpful. What would be a fair market value for each variant considering they are in good shape?
Can't openly discuss pricing on RUclips or we'll get banned. Can email us!
