@KamenHanya Unfortunately, black martial artists did NOT write books, so, outside of their students, who didn't write either, their legacies are greatly diminished, if not lost.

Everybody likes to talk about Stephen Hayes because he apparently "lived in Japan" & wrote books and shit, but Grandmaster Ronald Duncan is the REAL DEAL and pictures do not lie like "books".

Well....ask yourself where did the art originate. As well as what is the ancestry of the Japanese. What was that old saying about the great samurais containing a lot of a certain continents blood? It is very important to feed your mind!

Ronald Duncan is the real deal. Ariynd 1971 Rick Wiggington open a school at Kendrick recreation center Ridge ave and Rox aves. It Sensei charged us 1 dollar a week. We trained monday wed and friday fro. 7 to 930-10pm. What a great teacher and Ronald Duncan would come down from New York to e
Oversee when we took our tests. I was ten years old and i went there for almost three years. My older brother also attended and he picked on me so much i quit . Its is a huge regret i carried thru life. I remember going home and taking my brothers machete and i chopped up his dresser and all the handles of his throwing knives. I was so angry from him picking on me. I am honored to have been in the presence if those two great men. Im 57 and Although i can not do a spinning back kick anymor. I can still open a can of WA

Lmfao If u actually knew anybody in NYC can confirm Ronald Duncan was LEGIT. All his students could fight. You can ask around in NYC or look it up in forums. All demos are choreography. You said nothing profound here.

Hmm I get that he was a big name in the American martial art scene, but I really did not see anything really impressive here. Those moves would not work anyone who is well trained and not his student, not saying he is fake but those techniques will have very little chance to work in a real fight against someone who knows his stuff. The arrow catching is more like a circus act than martial art.

He was very impressive and obviously highly skilled, not fake, but I doubt the viability of these fighting styles, from what i have seen he did know some very viable ones such as judo and some kick boxing. A lot of some of these martial arts are less real fight oriented and more discipline oriented which is not a bad thing to have, also very performatory in nature, but i have seen some footage and read a lot of things about this guy, he is not even close to a fake.
