I've the EVO 3 S1 pistol and with the MagPul 35 round mags it has never malfunctioned in 20K rounds. Eats all that it's fed. It's at my bedside loaded with Speer Gold Dots 124gr. +P and a Crimson Trace 500 lumen light. Great tool that I trust my family's and my life to. Sight is the Sig Romeo 5. Scorpion mags if left loaded breaks the plastic lips off. Use mags with metal mag feed lips. Yes, replace the grip. SB Tactical arm brace.

Just an FYI, the SBA Brace does have a QD just forward of the folding/locking button for a single point, which is all I would recommend for smaller arms anyway.
Absolute BEST weapon I ever fired RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX!! No advance cleaning or anything. Just the IRON SIGHTS as set by Factory, my very FIRST shot got Bin Laden right in the Head!!! Life Sized Color Target at 50 Yards!! I was stunned. A very crisp trigger and the groupings stayed tight. Needless to say I SAVED that Target for sure!!! Then Cleaning & field strip was VERY unique and easy! Once I saw how great the gun was I have since invested in the 50 rd drum an a RDS Optic. It's the Gen 3 - regular 9mm 115 Gr I used.
Great video. Great info on scropion. I been eyeing a scropion evo for years. Finally pull the trigger a few day ago on micro 3 plus model. Now gotta wait for it to get to my ffl and pick it up. Your point between the old scropion model vs new one is on point. I was holding off on scropion for years because of the safety digging to finger, and the grip is weird position since a coworker who own the older man said the same thing. First thing he change when got the older scropion is the safely, grips, and trigger.
PSA was selling it for $700. Edit: They do still have a version in stock for $700, but it doesn't come with the brace. You can buy it separately, it costs like $150 if memory serves me correctly, so it will be a similar overall price if you do choose to order both.
Thanks for the comparo. I think your lighting and audio were great. I'm a videographer and sound mixer/music producer who happens to like firearms and I see so many videos where the intro music is so loud (sound check your videos before posting, PLEASE !!! ) or the video audio is too soft, clipping etc., nothing ruins a good video faster than bad audio and you sound like you've got it dialed in. Keep up the good work

I love CZ, a solid firearm manufacturer with military accolades, but the scorpion has an issue with OBDs. Being that the gun is mostly polymer they tend to blow the side off the upper receiver.

I like the update on the 3+ and may pick one up down the road. I have older same FDE S1 you have. However I went with strike industries mag release and a lot easier and just as fast to drop the mags with the finger push release in conjunction with the grip and rip paddle. Also love S.I.’s intuitive double safety design. Have you tried them if not check them out and think your get a kick out of both and they’re cheap witch is hard to say no, or at least try for the price! Won’t regret it!

That thing was really really rough for the wife but changing it (super cheap and easy) made it the #1 go to. With pistols the fn reflex and other compacts are insanely snappy so I understand the lower caliber. Ordered the s&w compact carry comp ported that has yet to come in yet but we are hoping for butter. With the scorpion she says she wishes that could be her CC. If anyone cares on an update of opinion on the s&w comment. I will respond. It will be likely about a month. FYI. This hunt is hard. I get it. Good luck! Get the scorpion anyways and fix the charging handle and just hand it to her. She will never give it back guaranteed. This is wifey btw 👋🏼
Love this scorpion. It looks so cool too. I have the AR mag style release in my Bren 2 so it’s no big deal. Bolt release in good spot. Timney makes a trigger for the 3+ and from there, I’ll add a few cool mods and I’m good to go. Don’t have original scorpion w/mags and whatever, so no issue. Coolest little gun. What’s better about roller delayed ? Good video 👍
I've got the last model. Upgraded grip, trigger spring and a Zharkhov stock. Put a high quality red dot that will get replaced with a green dot. I love my Scorpion to death, it's awesome. Roller delayed is nicer in every way. I love my Scorpion well enough that Roller Delay would not keep me from owning it. If I had an HK SP5 or MP 5, I'm sure it would be my fave PCC over my Scorpion. Scorpy would sit in a very comfortable #2 spot but not strictly due to roller delay. Roller delay is softer recoil for better follow on shots, not like it kicks badly w/o it but follow on shots can suffer. The gun would be more accurate with roller delay, so I've read. Hope that helps.

Roller delayed slows the bolt from coming back all at once like the Scorpion, thus making the recoil much less and smoother shooting. Pretty much why the MP5 is still pretty much the king, Pcc on the hill.

I want to get into these and have been thinking about it for a while. I think I dread upgrading the evo, but it has some features that the plus 3. I think I could make the sling issue work, but unsure about my Dremel skills with the mags.
Funny thing is that the serial number for the gun is on the upper and not the lower, so its totally possible. Just get a new lower and a jig for your mags and you should be good to go.
The issue that I have with scorpion is the magazine. CZ made a mistake. The magazine should be compatible to all scorpion magazines. Or the same magazine with their CZ shadow 2. They got greedy.
Palmetto State Armory makes ARV mags that are super cheap and they’ll run, I don’t know how they shoot though because I still have to pick up my 3+ not tomorrow but the next day
I don’t get why some people continue to co-witness red dots with FIXED iron sights. Why clutter your view? It’s 2022, so ditch the iron sights or get folding iron sights.
Nice-looking weapon it really does have a great look to it but I think for the money and if you really want something heavy duty that will last forever almost Ruger Mini-14 best weapon for the money
I modified mine a lot and love it so all I need to do is swap out my SB Tactical CZPDW (if you want this version of the brace and want to trade let me know). The one I have is 280 from SB Tactical where the new one is 125).
I still like the evo3 s1 more but had to definitely spend more on it than the 3+. I have enough AR style firearms and like the sp5 style of the s1. The 3+ is great just decided to sell mine and keep the s1

I push the mag release with my index finger on the s1. If I wanted AR-15 style, I'd get an AR 9. Same way with if I wanted M-Lok. I'd get an AR9

Someone else reviewing the 3+ said the bolt releases its self as long as you have a few rounds in the mag when you insert it.

On the older version why not just grab the fresh mag first and use it to engage the mag release like on an AK?

PCCs are way more accurate than pistols. I shoot my Ruger PC Charger LIGHTS OUT from 50 yards away bullseye without even trying.
