Apple iPhone is the one and only which really can hold so long I surely recommend iPhone but some place like mine you can get a entry level at price of pro so Obviously lot costy but worth if you want to use it for long long time just love it and it will love you back.
If you have the 7 and not interested in the very minimal changes to the series 8 it’s not an upgrade what so ever. But if you have never had an Apple Watch the series 8 is pretty damn great. I wish more people included those who still haven’t come along to Apple Watches yet because some are watching to know if it’s even a great choice to make and invest in.
In layman terms, can you tell me why AW series 8 is a good purchase for a first with smartwatch users? I never had a Apple Watch before and of course, I’ve read the reviews but want to hear your personal experience with the smartwatch?
Series 7 stainless steel, with midnight sport band. Will always love the original sport band, I find it the most comfiest compared to braided solo loop and solo loop. Thinking about getting the ultra
My series 7 (worn in a pool a lot but it's meant for that, allegedly) had the dictation stop working in less than a year. Apple sent me a replacement which had the same thing happen in the same amount of time, at which point I was out of warranty of the original. So if you use it in water, don't get a 7.
I really wish I watched your video prior to order my Apple Watch 8 that is exactly same as your with the midnight sports band. Had a previous version of the black Apple Watch and loved it. The problem with the midnight sports band is that it look more Navy Blue so along with the black body, it doesn't seem to look right. Had to go to Amazon to buy a black band which is ok. Use my previous Watch black band and it work nicely.
For those who are commenting “low power mode”, are you aware it is a feature present in watchOs9 and available from Series 4 onwards? You all make it sound like it’s a Series 8 exclusive feature…

I upgraded from the series 5 aluminum to the series 8 stainless steel . I thought long and hard about the ultra. The fact I felt I could only wear the ultra watch with casual wear was ultimately a deal breaker for me.
I’m also upgrading from the series 5 aluminum to the 8 stainless steel, mine is back ordered. What color stainless did you go for? I went silver but I was torn between graphite

question... if you get the wifi only option, do the emergency features still work? If you fell or sth happened, I can't imagine it'll call emergency services when it says you can't text or call without having your iphone near you
I don’t see anybody else answering this so I will, you need a cellular capable watch to use the SOS features without a phone nearby. One thing to note, if you do buy a cellular enabled watch but you choose not to pay for a monthly plan, you can still call 911 & do stuff like that (most modern phones do this already, where you don’t need a monthly plan to call emergency services)
@bigcbee Definitely the new temperature sensor. Although it may not seem to be a great feature now, I think the series 8 is the testing grounds for future watches.
The 8 is perfect for people who don’t know if they want more like the ultra or a little less like the SE. I got silver aluminum 8 after not having an Apple Watch since the 1st Gen. I love the updates. I just want that flat screen like on the Ultra.🥲

@mjoshss the always on display is definitely relevant and more suited here on the apple watches rather than on the IPhones where it can just probably get a bit distracting
