- Tay Ho District is known for housing Hanoi’s largest freshwater lake, called West Lake. It’s a huge body of water - it has a circumference of 17km - and there are plenty of historic places of interest, five-star hotels, stylish restaurants, cafes, and nightlife venues that are worth exploring along the shoreline.
The West Lake is bordered by several significant pagodas. Vietnam’s oldest pagoda, Tran Quoc pagoda, was built in the 6th century and is located on an island in the middle of the West Lake. Further along the lake, Quan Thanh Temple, by the northern gate, was built during the reign of Le Thai To King (1010-1028).
Accessible within a 15-minute drive from Hanoi Old Quarter, many locals and tourists seeking respite from the busy city make their way to this high-end district as it provides a sanctuary of great natural beauty with plenty of quiet spots in the sizeable botanical gardens.
Most of Hanoians would like to live close to the West Lake because of its wonderful ambiance. While the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake are often chaotic, crazy and incredibly noisy, West Lake’s area is always of peace, holding people back from leaving.

Thủ đô HN hết người chọn để đọc tiếng Anh hay sao mà chọn ngay người đọc sai tùm lum, những chữ đơn giản cũng phát âm sai. Nghe được gần 3 phút không dám nghe tiếp.
cái này thì mình xin phản biện ý kiến của bạn 1 chút. thứ nhất, đây là kênh youtube cá nhân chư không phải của đài truyền hình hay đại diện cho cả cái thủ đô Hà Nội nên việc cá nhân bạn youtuber giới thiệu như thế nào thì cũng là quan điểm của bạn ý, chất giọng như thế nào cũng là của cá nhân bạn ý, chẳng liên quan gì đến thủ đô hết người để chọn đọc hay như thế nào. thứ 2, thực ra những người sử dụng tiếng anh làm công cụ giao tiếp họ không quá quan trong accent như thế nào, chỉ cần dễ hiểu, đủ truyền tải thông tin và theo mình thì bạn youtuber này đã làm được điều đó. thứ 3, đây là một bạn trẻ Việt, mang trong mình những ý tưởng rất hay muốn quảng bá ẩm thực Việt Nam với bạn bè quốc tế. Mình cho rằng bạn ý là tấm gương sáng, dám nghĩ, dám làm mà nhiều người nên học tập thay vì cứ nhìn vào những điểm yếu của người ta để chê bai. Cảm ơn!

Sir, Visiting Hanoi on 24th January. I am Told that Because of TET Festival, Everything Will be Closed For One Week, Getting Worried. Shall be Staying in Old Quarters. Will Restaurants and Nightlife be Closed in Old Quarters. Please Help.
Don't worry, some restaurants, cafes, fast food stores, and convenience stores are still open during Tet. Enjoying the peaceful feeling in the heart of the city during Tet is an interesting thing. Alternatively you can take part in activities (countdown, firework around Hoan Kiem lake), or enjoy local art shows (water puppet, visit The Temple of Literature, visit Vietnam Museum of Ethnology...).
