Second, for anyone who learns English through her video, when she talks about the walking street, she says: in the weekend, but it should have been on/at. However, making mistakes when speaking is normal and her channel is not about learning
After two years (due to pandemic), I finally was able to travel back to Hanoi this month. And twice, back-to-back! I have a project at Hoan Kiem Lake (Four Seasons) and in Ha Long Bay (Intercontinental). I always enjoy the food, coffee and sights of Hanoi! I know that Pho 10 place so well; in fact, I took my Vietnamese friend from Saigon for dinner there. He was impressed!
This is most beautiful, I have just found you here and now I find this a very intriguing to learn more about Vietnam. I have been close to a family in the United States for almost 20 years and they have tried patiently to teach me about your culture,
Thank you for a great video. I am a teacher and I used your video to help my Vietnamese student that is 9 years old who is doing a summer program for her school being a tour guide in Hanoi. Not really a tour guide but she has to talk to tourists around the city in English giving them information about the Hanoi, especially the lake. Thanks so much, she really paid attention, listened to your clear English, and learned some new things about Hanoi. She can't completely understand everything but she is getting more confident!
Thank you so much! I am talking to some Vietnamese colleague online and they were telling to visit Hanoi, and your video is just perfect! Bcoz I now know where I can visit in Hanoi when I am there! Thanks!
I have enjoyed my visits to Hanoi. The Temple of Literature was one of my favorite places to walk around and explore. Hoam Kiem Lake is a wonderful place to spend a day! I highly recommend the water puppet show and taking in a show at the Old Opera House!

Such a beautiful and informative vlog, and it is a joy to watch. I love Hanoi to the max - the culture, history, people, way of life, and certainly the pho. Yes, it is delightfully delicious. I am definitely coming back to Hanoi again :)
We had gone to the Cha Ca. It is as best in my life any fish I had eat till date. Thanks for suggesting this place and all my travel has been based on your itinerary.
From what I remember, Temple of Literature was built in 1070 during Ly's dynasty, not Tran. Anyway, still love your video. Hope that I will have a change to visit Hanoi in the near future 😍😍
What an amazing guiding video! Everything is introduced in great details and in a very friendly way. This is definitely what tourists need to fully explore our capital city. Even though I live in Hanoi, I haven't even tried most of the things that are suggested in the video, I think I should do it some day 😅. Anyway, there's still a small misinformation. The first university in Vietnam is the Imperial Academy(Quốc Tử Giám), not the the Temple of Literature(Văn Miếu). As they're located in the same place and together they make a complex, people are often confused between the two. But Văn Miếu is actually just a temple, it is Quốc Tử Giám that was truly the first university in our country

Hi Vanvu I just found your chanel and it's fantastic. I'm visiting Hanoi for 2 weeks probably in October. I'm spending a month in the Phillipines in September visiting a couple of friends one lives in Cebu and the other in Dumaguete. He's married to a filipina and they have a condo they rent to tourists and visitors so I'll stay with them. The friend in Cebu lived in Vietnam before moving to Cebu and is a big fan of the food, history and culture. He visits Hanoi every 6 months for visa purposes. He's recommended the Manor 2 and can get me a good rate. That's where I'll probably stay. I found your what to do in 1 day guide very useful and informative having 14 days to explore will be awesome. I'm a coffee lover and love asian cuisine. I like watching you eat you certainly love food!😁. Could I ask a slightly personal question? How do you eat and stay so slim? Me? I can gain a kilo just by reading the menu to decide what to eat😊. Your vlogs have given me some ideas of things to do and see so thanks for that. I'll certainly be seeing some more of them before I arrive. I think I may book a local guide for one or two days to show me around help me learn a few basic phrases and pronunciation. I've travelled a lot and find locals are far more helpful and friendly if you try to speak their language. Can you recommend any tourist guides? Thanks again for a great chanel. Steve
I have tried phở at 10 Lý Quốc Sư. Unfortunately, I got a severe allergy due to the large amount of MSG that they have used in the broth. However, I would never miss bún chả Hàng Mành. I used to walk at night and picked up one of the ice cream on Tràng Tiền. Also bánh cuốn bà Hoằnh.
I Love Bun Cha Ha Noi . The light fish sauce mixed is more like a soup, not a dipping sauce. So far, could not find a Vietnamese restaurant in the U.S. that has a similar dish. It will always be my first meal when I am in HN. BTW, after COVID lock down, glad to see folks are back around Hoàn Kiếm Lake.

When you mentioned condensed milk during the war reminds me of a story my mom told me that when my uncle, her younger brother, was a baby/toddler he was given sweetened condense milk back then. She never told me why, but now I'm thinking it's because it lasted longer. 😔
Condense milk is the poor man's way of making milk and feeding it to their kids. Real milk are more expensive n a luxury to have. Plus shelf life is longer kept since it is in a tin can. They were popular during the flight of the boat people after the war. The authorities would watch which family be buying more than enough like in bulk and they would watch them. There is only one reason why someone would buy in bulk. They are storing it for a run as boat people. My family bought small to stay under the radar. However, we have many people so each bought small quantity, when added together, it will be a bulk order. We would hid it out there in a bunker underneath the beach sand. When the time comes and in the middle of the night, we make a run for it. Our elders, if they are still living will drink the condense milk with hot water mix or we put the condense milk onto a French bread and eat it like that. It's culture.

Amazing video by Ms. Van Vu. I agree with you. Bun cha is one of the best dishes from Vietnam.
Thank you!
I just came back from Hanoi and I loved it🇻🇳❤️👍🏼
Oh yeah, thank you. And i love u 🤩
i like your chanel! you are symbol of Vietnamese young generation..
Finally lol I have been waiting for another Vietnam vlog 🙋🏽♀️
Haha here you go! Thanks for watching☺️
Your illustration really could help tourists understand local culture and custom about food, but in the meanwhile , there is something i really feel very hard to change it,the taste about the veggies,i usually leave them on the dinner table.
Love Hanoi,nhớ Hà Nội quá
Wow I was feeling overwhelmed trying to plan my week in HaNoi. This is so perfect. Thank you! Please do more videos like these!
I have been to Hanoi. I fell in love with Vietnam
Hi Van , thanks for yr video. The one day short trip was so impressive which related to the delicious food and culture heritages.
Thanks for watching!!!
I'm an American-born Viet and have visited VN a few times in my life and although most of my friends only visit the South, I mustered up the courage to venture up North two time and I must have to say I like it much much more than the South for many resaons!!! Perhaps it's in my DNA since I'm told my family origins are actually "Bac-54" which I'm sure you know what that means... Either way, your personality & knowledge shines in your vids, keep up the good work ;-)
We're heading back to Vietnam in three days, and your video has us even more excited to visit! Hanoi is one of our favorite cities in the world. 🥰
I really enjoy your videos, unfortunately I had to leave Da Nang last week, couldn’t get my visa extended.
Thank you for all your videos
Thank you for sharing this video. I will be in Hanoi very soon and your recommendations are definitely going into my list of go to. Hope you can show more good food places that offer low carb dishes.
Love your channel and thank you for sharing a beautiful country. Good work.

I want to visit Vietnam is on my list.Good job
I was in Hanoi this past June, and tried chả cá. That was pretty good.
I never been to Hanoi, I hope one day we can meet up for lunch or dinner. Love all your video, especially the final soccer game between Thai & vietnam
I will be in Ha Noi in 5 weeks. Thanks for the extra info.
Congrats for the 100,000 sub, Van! You made it!
Thanks for your support!!!
Would it be possible to show us the different herbs and veggies used in Vietnamese cuisine ?
To me they look different from other cuisines.
Thanks in advance.
Great idea!!! I noted down and will do it in the future🤗 Thank you!
We were there last April 3-8 and have been to those places & also to Hanlong Bay & Hang Mua. We had fun & enjoyed our stay there. Incidentally, we also try the pho which Barak Obama tried in a popular restaurant there.👍👌😊
We are from the Philippines, by the way.
Hi Vanvu
I just found your chanel and it's fantastic.
Steve
This girl end it with see you in Saigon. Bring tears to my eyes.
I visited Hanoi back in 2017 and this brings back memories. I’d love to visit again one day! Great video!!
Hope to see you soon🥰🥰
ohh my gohh, your accent is crystal clear with gorgeous smile. You made my day!
I just moved to Hanoi and your channel is very helpful! Loved this video
Thanks for sharing! Hope to see you soon in Vietnam☺️
I'm going to Vietnam on 19th October 2022!!! Let's go🔥🔥🔥
I am from Malaysia. Last week I went to Hanoi. I love Vietnamese culture very much, I went to Halong bay. Fantastic! But in Hanoi, a bit hard to find Vietnamese halal restaurant. Vu, can you please make a video where is Halal restaurant in Hanoi?
Em đã xem qua 1 video review quán ăn halal của người Pakistan tại Hà Nội rất thú vị nhưng em không nhớ địa chỉ của nó? Anh có thể tìm kiếm trên google có thể thấy.

Bro, they still need insurance when u traveled to hanoi? Going there next week
Amazing. Lives in Hanoi for 1 year. You ever go Ba Vi park? Old French mountain retreat in the hills . Nice drive out when it’s hot as a lot cooler up there
You should try Indian food sometime and make a vedio on it...i would love to see your reaction on it. In viatnam, there is restaurant named ''ganesha restaurant'' which serves Indian food.
I just visited Hanoi 3 days ago and i followed all ur suggestion place that u mentioned in your channel...thank u so much
This comes so in handy because I will be in Hanoi next week and I needed some suggestions. Thank you.
I’m glad my content is helpful for you!!!
I just returned from Hanoi and I actually followed most of your suggestions...no regrets lol
It was very handy information and made me enjoy Hanoi much more. I ate tons of Bun Cha and pho, the egg coffee was delicious, but I was not impressed by the coconut coffee. Thank you for sharing. Ah, I was there during the Seagames and it was fun 🤗🤗🤗
Vietnamese foods very healthy, light and delicious with good combination of their local vegies.!
When you mentioned condensed milk during the war reminds me of a story my mom told me that when my uncle, her younger brother, was a baby/toddler he was given sweetened condense milk back then. She never told me why, but now I'm thinking it's because it lasted longer. 😔
I know, that's why you can taste the sweetness of the condensed milk and the bitterness of the history :)
Xin Cao. Thanks for all the advices, will following your foodpath this September. Cam on
Very beautiful city ❤️👍🏻
I love your channel (just found it). You give such important, detailed and deep information. I haven't found most of the things you talk about in other channel. Thanks for sharing! Saludos desde México 🌮

Bun Cha in Hanoi was my second favorite - after Cao Lau in Hoi An :D Can you explain why the Bun Cha portions are soo big? I could never eat all of it, most of the spring rolls stayed untouched.
