Hey Peter & Yen!! So great to see you guys and this is an awesome trip to Hanoi!! All these places you went to look like they were great tourist spots for sure. The St Joseph Cathedral was so huge and beautiful, and that Hanoi Train street was such a trip to see the train pass so close! The night market was awesome, and so was that cool iced dessert. The water puppet show looked too cool.. we would have loved that. Kiem Lake was so awesome that you got to see some small turtles in it. The fine art museum had some beautiful artwork in it and loved some of the sculptures and cool you got to see the Mausoleum of where Ho Chi Min lays to rest!! Thanks for taking us with you and much love! Awesome adventure!
Thank you girls! 🙂🙌 There really is plenty to visit and check out in Hanoi, loads of great food and a real bustling city vibe. It was super cool getting to see the lil turtles.. didn't think we'd get to see that so def felt lucky! 😊 The mausoleum was a pretty surreal experience.. first time seeing basically a modern day mummified body but the whole person and seeing his face too.. he was so well persevered 😲 I'm glad they didn't allow cameras inside though. The train does come super close, it's quite the roar and rush when it goes right past you but apparently the street has been closed off now so we're super glad we were able to see it in time! Unfortunately for others they won't get the chance anymore unless they decide to reopen in the future. Have an awesome week ahead you two! 🙂🙌
@@PeterandYen Hi Peter and Yen, Awesome Vlog, i have tried to capture the hanoi experience in my latest vlog, not as cool as yours, but your feedback on improvement will be nice.. do visit and suggest pls
@@PeterandYen Thanks! also a quick question if you don't mind! but I'm going to Vietnam soon for like 1 month, starting from North to South, and a little bit in the center, planning to do stuff like Sapa, Ha long Bay, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Quoc, Snorkeling, etc So the question is, should I come with Mochila outdoor or Luggage? (I'm not sure if it's important to mention but I'll be putting quite a lot of food in my luggage/mochila, amount of food that last around 1 week, but it's not cause I'll be sleepin in the woods or something like that, but cause I can only eat my own specific food) Thanks!
Visited vietnam in August!! I spent five weeks there. I have traveled all over asia but by far vietnam is the most loveliest places i have been lucky enough to visit. The people the culture i love . if you are thinking of going to vietnam dont hesitate you wont regret it. Love it love it love it. Its also amazing value. I will return next year for sure.
Said it so well Ben! Thanks for sharing your experience too 😊👍 We're thinking of heading back next year as well and going South since we mostly stayed central and North during this trip 🙂 We have two more vlogs to share from our time in Vietnam (both from Ninh Binh which we loved!). That's so exciting but so sorry to break it to you but seems like train street got shut down recently coz of tourists misbehaving and doing silly things while the train was going past like touching it or trying to take a selfie while it was approaching 😕 had a note about it in the description! Don't think it's reopened since though. Hope you still have an awesome holiday regardless! Hanoi is a really cool place especially for the great cheap eats too 🙂👍

Good to hear another different variation on the story of the lake, it's so interesting, and that park is super lovely, we passed by almost every day when we're there, brings back memories! 🥰 There are ALWAYS tourists who would step out of the line, so glad they have the guards there to keep the mausoleum, who knows what the place might become if not because of these guards!
You know what we watched your video of Hanoi like 4 times now. Before to find out where to go and one after we went for the same reason to bring back memories of the trip. Love the place would be awesome to go again sometime. Unique atmosphere and just hanging out near the lake looking for turtles is fun 😁
We've noticed that trip advisor especially sell tickets a lot more expensive than if you were to buy the tickets at the location 😲 but we definitely look out for every trick we can to save money 😁

I spent about 2 weeks in Hanoi when I visited in 1998. I bet it's really different now. So much to see and do. Went to a random restaurant, and on the wall were photos of celebrities and high ranking officials, and one of the photos was of Helen Clark, former Prime Minister of New Zealand. Went to a night club and one of the songs they played was "How Bizarre" by OMC.
The water puppets were my fav in Hanoi. :) The cultural museum i.e. Vietnam National Museum of History (not the nearby political museum) was also great. Just a walk around the Lake of the Restored Sword (Hoan Kiem Lake) is nice in the very late afternoon and evening.
Such a cool street but unfortunately they closed it off some time last year for public safety since some tourists did some dangerous things 😕 Not sure if they have since reopened it yet though!
There's actually another one we came across in Thailand. The Maeklong Railway Market. Been lurking but finally subscribed. Awesome content and enjoying your Vietnam series. Very light hearted and informative. Love all the food! Keep it up and you'll be 100k subs in no time.
Hey mate thank you for supporting the channel 😁❤ good news if you enjoyed our Vietnam videos. Yen and I couldn't stop thinking about Vietnam and talking about it. Soooooo we're coming back this year. Ho chi Minh this time around can't wait 😁 hopefully one day 100k that would be amazing 🥳
Peter and Yen Oh man then I’ll definitely hit the notification bell for that! Can’t wait! Just don’t change your style and how you are once you hit 100k stardom haha
Really love that contrast of Asian and French influences, both in the food and architecture. Bamboo street looks so unique, and very specific. haha Train Street is on our list for sure. Peter, we'll need some of your bargaining tips. We are sooo bad!!
Yea lots of interesting mixed architecture in Vietnam 🙂 Unfortunately seems like train street has recently been closed off to the public though! Glad we got to see it but sadly seems like others will miss out.. looks like they shut it down a few weeks ago!
2:26 Yen aptly shows how it feels when we're behind the camera while watching the other half eating down something yummy! Or even like us viewers watching you guys eat on screen, but our hands will never reach the food 🤣
😂😂😂 it's much worse being a viewer and not being able to eat. Sometimes the craving is so strong you need to wait half a year and plan a whole trip around trying one dish 😅
that show looked really cool - good tips about where to get ticks.. i wouldve thought tripadviser would have at least the same price as what you would find at the counter also interesting rules at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.. single file and keep up with the pace....does that mean you always have to go in with a group and can't wander around? Hanoi looks amazing guys - thanks for capturing it so well!
Thanks Janice! 😁 Yea no wandering around. Inside where the body is it's single file around the square room inside and then straight out. Once you're outside on the grounds you're free to roam about but stick behind the yellow lines or get whistled at like that group of people that crossed it and ignored the signs 😅 You don't need to go in a group or anything 🙂 just respect their rules 👍
Great vlog, thank you. I'm planning a trip in the next couple of years (Covid allowing) and your vid has really helped me as I really wasn't sure there was much I'd like to see/do in Hanoi. As I'm planning a few days there before a Lan Na cruise. So thank you very much 💜

Aw thanks Jo! Hope you have a wonderful time in Hanoi! ☺️ Feb will come by in a flash. We've included details on places in the description in case you wanted to check out too 🙂✌️ happy holiday season in the mean time!
Peter and Yen thank you both so much. I watch a lot of travel videos. Yours is a cut above. The restaurants you choose, the food selection, the reaction to taste, is all in class, style and simplicity. 👍👍👍
@@grandmasterjo1 that's so super nice of you to say! Thank you ☺️🧡 We really appreciate it and are very happy to hear that you like our videos so much 🙏😁
Wow nice country
Planning to visit Vietnam soon
Hanoi looks amazing - as does the country.

Thought you might like this episode Barry! Glad to hear you did 😁👍 We're off to the Great Wall of China today. Not a bad way to start a Monday morning we reckon 😁🙌 Going together with both sets of our parents too. Enjoy your day as well!
*Good To See, Friends. Regards You.*
I enjoyed watching your video. I want to travel to Vietnam
Thank you! Hope you get the chance to one day. It's such a cool country 🙂👍
Welcome to Vietnam! Anyeong haseyo.
Absolutely wonderful ! You guys know well about our city !
Thank you! We loved Hanoi and Vietnam 😊
you both are fabulous guys nice explanation
Lol fish paste that looks like prawn 🤣 perhaps a vegetarian prawn? That icy dessert is always cool for photos/videos, but made us pay for some holo crunchy air :P
Hahahahahaha never gonna be tricked again about that crunchy air and the fish paste prawns both are not what they seem
@@timothytrucnguyen1893 hahaha I think we're too old to change 😂 thanks for hitting the notification 👍
Interesting and informative video, nicely presented from you guys.
Thanks Dad! Must feel good to have internet properly again lol 😉🙌
@@PeterandYen..and not have to rely on hot spot support.
WOW the puppet show is fantastic!
Yeah! Really cool we enjoyed Vietnam so much we're heading back next year.
Thank you for your travel perspective!
Great video guys!!
Thank you! 😁👍 Glad you enjoyed it ☺️
Great video, Peter and Yen give great tips on where to go and what to see in Hanoi. 😊
Thank you 😊
Visited Vietnam in October, interesting places!!!!!
yeahh...nice Video...great City :)
Thanks Thomas! Yea Hanoi is an awesome must visit place when in Vietnam 😊👍
Going to the church FOR SURE Christmas Eve... and you two are so stinking cute!
Haha thank you! Hope you have a wonderful time 😁💕
2:26 Yen aptly shows how it feels when we're behind the camera while watching the other half eating down something yummy! Or even like us viewers watching you guys eat on screen, but our hands will never reach the food 🤣
😂😂😂 it's much worse being a viewer and not being able to eat. Sometimes the craving is so strong you need to wait half a year and plan a whole trip around trying one dish 😅
The night market looks awesome!!
Lots of good food and the crunchy air ice cream is interesting 😆
Haha such a novelty snack! If it having had ice cream in it I think it would've been so yum 😋
The train cafe is amazing!!! What an experience!
Unfortunately they've had to close that street off now but we were so lucky to have gone just before that happened 😅
@@PeterandYen I think some parts of the street are still open but I am not 100% sure! Will check it out next time when I go back to Vietnam :D
Great overview video!
Thank you 😁✌
that show looked really cool - good tips about where to get ticks.. i wouldve thought tripadviser would have at least the same price as what you would find at the counter
also interesting rules at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.. single file and keep up with the pace....does that mean you always have to go in with a group and can't wander around?
Hanoi looks amazing guys - thanks for capturing it so well!
Thanks Janice! 😁 Yea no wandering around. Inside where the body is it's single file around the square room inside and then straight out. Once you're outside on the grounds you're free to roam about but stick behind the yellow lines or get whistled at like that group of people that crossed it and ignored the signs 😅 You don't need to go in a group or anything 🙂 just respect their rules 👍
Haha that “crunchy air” is really something
I got tricked with the prawn skewer then the thing I thought was ice cream lolll least it was a good experience 😅
Halong bay ! Aswell ,Maganda pumunta duon Lalo december malamig
Ha long bay saved for next visit 😁👍
Beautiful
Love hanoi
Very cool and awesome place!
Very interesting pl. Always love their food too and the cultural show is awesome ....good one my dears👍👍👍❤❤❤

Amazing gallery
So many beautiful pieces in here. Favourite is the 1000 arms buddha.
Thanks guys, This was really helpful
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂👍
Great vlog, thank you. I'm planning a trip in the next couple of years (Covid allowing) and your vid has really helped me as I really wasn't sure there was much I'd like to see/do in Hanoi. As I'm planning a few days there before a Lan Na cruise. So thank you very much 💜
Hanoi is awesome, it feels so alive wherever you are in the city. Yen and I both especially enjoyed exploring all the different old quarters. Thanks for watching 😁❤
Yo, 9K, guys! Congrats!
Thanks Lin! 😁✌️
