Thank you Alex!
Very helpful.. Thanks!
Sick rave at the end Tom! 😂
Thanks Luis. 😉 We party when we can!
Thank you for video! What are you think about "dark cave" lighting?
I want to be like you. Thank you, teacher
Thanks Tom I've always enjoyed your instruction. It has been some time since I've shot outdoor interviews and I can totally relate to using reflectors and having people squint into the camera. The final look was tip top 🙌🏽. Question about the V-mount option. How long would you say you typically get with Aputure LED?
Thanks. I still haven't used the 600D with Vmount batteries because these require more powerful Vmount batteries that currently haven't hit the market yet. Should be out soon. I just run then on my solar generator. Battery life dependa heavily on what procentage of power you put the light to.
@@TomAntos thanks for the reply, that means a lot. Can I ask what solar generator you use?
@@colorgradingcentral Here is my favorite ruclips.net/video/QB2N9fnTMCc/видео.html
What kind of solar generator do you think is ideal to power the 600d pro?
Great job! It would be great to have a video about exposure with false color, spot meter or and
Good one ✌️⭐️
Thank you
You're welcome
Hey, this is cool. I own an Platinum Blonde HMI that i use sometimes. I also has a heavy duty reflector. What time of day is this video shot at.
Great video Tom. Any advice on lighting for a run n gun sittuation?
Yes. Check out my one light trick video. I will be doing an update to that video tutorial since it's very old now... but the same techniques still apply
@Tom Antos how do you like the Komodo K7?
The problem with flags and reflectors out doors is..... the wind so be sure to have good sturdy C-Stands and sandbags to hold everything down. It does not take much wind to knock something over when there is a large piece of fabric attached to it. Think of a sailboat.
Yes good point! I didn't want to go over all the technical aspects of using grip equipment but definitely important to sandbag everything well
Everybody loves Tom
I just saw an external monitor with the BMPCC 4K, didn’t see any external battery. Were you using any? Or you just change the internal batteries once they run out?
✌️👍🏻
Nice one. Thx! Did you use the Lumix Vario for this one?
Yes. The 12-35mm
@@TomAntos Cheers.
@@TomAntos hi Tom, just curious, did you use an ND filter on the 12/35 f2.8 lens?
Well THAT escalated quickly!!
Fantastic practical example for learning. Problem is, that in real life, especially in a "run and gun" ENG (Electronic News Gathering) situations, there is absolutely no time for this. You put a spotlight on the camera (if necessary...) and roll. Time is money and you want to be the first in the air.
Yes, I see your point. Bad choice in the title. I just looked passed the "TV News Report" wording, and saw it as a possible way to light outdoors.
@@martydenson_mfm Hi Marty, agree. That's why I started my reply the way I did. Tom makes fantastic instructional videos and this one is no exception. My comment was more "philosophical" or practical, with no intention to dismiss a content of the video. ✌️
@@branisulek3628 Awesome!

Her hair covers her left hair and it still disturbs me.
Just an FYI, not sure what happened here but your studio lighting is making you look ghoulish. Maybe too much green?
wow honestly that doesn't look that good and also in a News Report Situation you haven't that much equipment/space to build that up
I guess in a run and gun style news report this would not be practical. I see your point. Perhaps a bad choice in how he titled this video. It was helpful to me because I shoot outdoors in a more interview style & commercial style so I could/would have that much equipment, space & time. I have been checking RUclips videos to see what kind of lights people are using outdoors in general. I just overlooked the "TV News Report" wording & saw it as one way to light a speaking individual outdoors if you have the crew, equipment, time, space, etc., which I have.
Dood this first scenario is so wrong, you place the model in front of the sun so she gets backlight, then you bounce off the sun to her face and youre done, what the hell are you doing with extra lights and shit ? What you did looks fake as hell, kinda like greenscreen so why even bother to go outdoors, second example is what you should always do, backlit subcjects always look better, always
