I liked the first one - - but tension? After you realised it was just Silence followed by a loud noise and music for a jump scare it was like every other horror movie.

When they look for somebody for Marcus's part, they asked: We need somebody to play a totally dumb kid who can scream a lot. In real life Marcus would have died long ago, I just hate it when movies make us look so dumb with all these characters who should have died long ago.

I love the irony of this franchise: John Krasinski; A guy who didn’t like horror films - creates one of the best horror films of the 21st century. Doesn’t like sequels - makes a sequel even better than the original. John Krasinski - Actor, writer director, Thank you.
A friend of mine worked on set. John didn't write it. He spent 30 minutes looking over an almost finished set and made minor tweaks.

Probably the only film I've seen where only the bravest in the cinema dared to eat some of their popcorn. It was so quiet in the cinema you had to resort to eating like a hamster to avoid making noise lol

I just got back from seeing this movie with my friends, it was so intense and you genuinely couldn’t look away even when it was most terrifying, the music, the acting just everything was perfect. The whole theater was so insanely quiet, and all of us were holding our breath the entire time. I’m usually not a fan of horror but this was one of the best I’ve seen in awhile❤️❤️

I watched this last night and it’s amazing. Incredible acting, everyone’s so talented especially the daughter, she’s deaf in real life too. And it is emotional too just like the first one. Both movies made me cry. I think there will be a third one too with the way this one ended

Honestly the first part is WAAY better. I felt like I needed more suspense from this one. It was good but couldn’t top the first one. It also felt short and like the plot was going no where.

I cried at the ending of both movies. The atmosphere is so well done I feel like I’m there feeling the emotions with all the characters. It’s so intense

Cillian murphy deserves more big roles, such a phenomenal actor, one of the best currently. It's a shame he doesn't have lead roles in big movies. A very underrated actor.

HOW is he underrated? He is great because he is put in the perfect roles that he agrees to play as.
It's not the actors who takes a roll and goes to play it. They are handed out a shit ton of movies to star in by their agents and they either accept or refuse to play the part.
He is great because he gets good offers (See his list of movies) and he knows what movies to accept.
He is not underrated as an actor. He is just a smart actor. (Another example from this movie is Blunt)
And I don't see how "Sunshine" was not a big movie.. Where HE had the lead roll (compared to Evans who took 3rd lead).
The problem with that movie and why it went into a gross lower than budget is because they refused to advertise it more than they did.. (Due to the budget they were given).
I can go on and on and on about his big movies. He is NOT an underrated actor.

I don't think it's a problem on itself that he doesn't have those many credits where he is the lead. It seems to me that he chooses his films and roles very carefully and that's part of what makes him a great actor; it's not just about being the lead, but getting into an interesting project with interesting people and interesting characters or roles.

The bear trap scene was the best scene for me. It was equivalent to the birthing scene in the first movie and definitely pulls at your mommy heart strings. So many emotions that Evelyn had to feel at that moment. Intense fear but also her baby is in excruciating pain and she cannot help him or they will all die. Under normal circumstances she would be consoling him letting him release his hurt and pain but having to try to shut him up at that moment was both extremely scary for her and completely heart wrenching.
The boy is an amazing young actor and even though he was a little too scary throughout the entire franchise for my taste he portrayed his emotions phenomenally on screen.

This movie is amazing. The actors are all incredible and the deaf actress is especially incredible, she is extremely talented. All the actors compliment eachother well.
The scenes with Regans character are among the best when it’s completely silent. Like the scene on the train where it’s silent and then from behind her you see the alien but it’s still quiet

An uncommon sequel success that matches the originals pulse and raises it some too. With banging performances, smashing special effects and a story that has plenty of wallop to build on for the future, this is well worth finding the courage for and tuning in to - you wont be disappointed.
If anyone is on the fence about seeing A QUIET PLACE PART II, I highly recommend it. A young deaf girl is the lead, so consider that as you contemplate the title. She's a courageously focused problem solver amidst chaos; the visual, emotional, and interpersonal noise in this Place. Her brother is sensitive and generally lacks confidence, but bravely feels his emotions and grapples with slaying his inner monster (Fear). What a refreshing gender stereotype flip. There are creatures, but this is not a film about external monsters. And while it is certainly a tense film, is it neither gory nor superfluously violent. These two young actors are outstanding and the direction is remarkable.
The amount of jump scares that heppend in this movie- and we need a part 3 cuz they always end it in the wrong place LIKE I NEED MORE

What an amazing movie and experience. I didn’t realise how much I missed the movie theater. The community, the size and sound was just magical. Love the scenes where the director shows how it is being perceived from the deaf daughter. Really recommend it.
Yeah I miss the Theaters as well, but skipped seeing the sequel in it. Just to formulaic & predictable. The main thing I could see is that it was BIG PayDays for the cast at a 60 million budget compared to the originals 20 million. The movie itself was meh.

I love how they’ve made a part 2 because this movie is honestly amazing so I’m glad we get to see how the situation started and how their lives were before it happened

This movie is still crazy how I can relate to this. That high pitch frequency sound is super annoying when it suddenly happens out of the blue when I’m wearing my hearing aids and duh, it’s the life saver in this film lol. This film makes me wanna learn the ASL,too, since I’m partially impaired on my one ear. And the quietness when it’s the daughter’s scene scares me. Cant imagine losing my ability to hear one day. Thinking of getting hearing aids again since they busted a few years back and this gadgets are not cheap.

The first movie was the best thriller I've ever seen. I'm so glad it's getting a sequel. With the lack of dialogue, it's almost a visual storyteller.
Just finished watching part II, amazing! I don't even think I was breathing throughout the whole movie. I was so stiff and unmoving that my muscles were sore after it was all over. Talking about being stressed out, part 2 was even more intense than part 1. Can't wait for part 3, John Krasinski brings a fresh new perspective to post apocalyptic thriller movies!

Magnificent. I would love to see a sequel. The kids were awesome, their characters development were very well done. It's better or just as good as the first one. The ending is always satisfying, hopeful and COOL.
The next movie should definitely be a prequel focusing on humanity's war and struggle against the creatures. Hell I'd be down for a prequel TV series to be honest.

Only the beginning is a prequel. The opening like 20minutes takes place when the aliens first come. Afterwards it's all new stuff.
Agreed but I think this movie is actually a prequel...however depending on how much they show from the start I'd like a full prequel where it's only the start and it shows clips around the world and exactly they came to earth. I also want one where they finally kill them all or at least all gather and build a safe place with loud speakers to create the most annoying loud sounds to them in order to be able to kill them and put an end to them once and for all.

With so few young actors under the age of 20 being recognized for their contributions to films that arent teen films, one performance should have been nominated. I know this is essentially Emily Blunt's film but the brilliant performance by Millicent Simmonds is the backbone of this experience. The ability to go completely outside of traditional horror tropes with the acting prowess to elicit the kind of empathy you would experience in a dramatic film and then transition into warrior type fearlessness all while maintaining a sense of fragility and innocence is breathtaking. Should have been nominated for supporting actress.
This is how it all began, with part 2 you're experiencing things to a whole new level.

I'm glad that I didn't watch the trailer before seeing this. I can understand why some people were expecting a full-on prequel, but I'm also glad that it wasn't. We've seen that before. The flashback was perfect. I want to see what happens next.

I've been waiting for over a year for this! I saw the first one on a plane, had never even heard of the movie never and I was totally blown away. I'll be there on the first day. At last! Bring it on!!!
So satisfying when announcement for Part II of a Quiet Place was announced. This trailer for Part II is terrific. All of it. The ordinary, the foreshadowing (that rocket!), the sudden run-and-hide, all of it. By the way, when I saw Part I in a theater, there was sound seepage from the adjoining theater showing an action movie. The absolute brilliance of the way silence and sound is used in these films, aaaah. Think of daily life - moving a chair back from the table, television, music, driving, showering, laughing, dog barking - all of a sudden these will get the monster on you. Just love it. Fabulous.
