This is honestly fantastic, seeing how far you've come this past year (been here since the Pulse Rifle build, which I ended up making myself) and how far this channel has come. Plus, i'm glad you've come to the dark side of modelling paste, I go through so much of it in my builds (including my Majoras Mask)

Love the build, this is probably your best yet! I tried to reverse engineer your Mandalorian helmet templates to make Boba Fett's, but it did not work. This is an amazing build!

Just bought and printed the templates right now! Im so excited to see the finished product, luckily our head circumference is almost the same with an inch difference so i opted to print it out at 100% once im done with this i'll go work on the armor which i bought as well and then when i have enough money, i'll get the gauntlets, cheers mate!

I’m just wrapping up this build, and it’s really starting to come together well! I have one question though - any tips for removing excess hot glue on the top of the helmet? During the beginning I went a little glue crazy, and I want to make sure I get rid of the excess before I start spackling.
Great to hear that! Indeed, you can do it simply by using your hot glue gun actually. Warm it up and then use the tip (where the glue comes out....) to melt all the excess of glue you have on the helmet, and then remove it with toilet paper or your fingers if it's not too hot, or just spread it out so you don't leave protuberant shapes of glue. ;)

This is amazing. My 13 year old son and I are working on this helmet for a Cobb Vanth cosplay. We have completed the entire cardboard model section, up to adding the modeling paste and looking for a possible solution for the top of the head not being as rounded as we would like. Maker error, of course. We knew it was going to be a problem that we might have to live with because we are procrastinators but if you have a suggestion, that would be great.
That's great! :) Glad you and your son are enjoying this build. It is strange that the top of the helmet didn't end up like mine though, what type of tool do you use to cut the pieces? Are you sure you printed all templates at the same scale? I mean like all at 100%, or all at 97% for instance. No matter the scale you choose, it's has to be the same for all templates.

Hey there! Thanks for getting the helmet and chest armor templates. 🙌 Printing these templates is the way to go if you want to nail that high level of accuracy. The whole tutorial is designed around using printed templates, and it'll make your life a lot easier.
I totally get it if you don't have a printer right now, but if you can access one in the future, I'd highly recommend it. It'll ensure you get the best results and follow along with the tutorial seamlessly. Happy crafting! 🚀🎥

Thanks for the kind words! It's difficult to say as it depends on many things. I'd say apply a fine layer first, sand it over and then if you feel like some areas are not smooth enough, apply another layer on these parts so that you get the smoothness that you want for it. ;)

I get most of my cardboard and paper by saving them from my monthly deliveries to be honest, and it's not that much actually. But if you don't have enough deliveries, you still can ask to your local store! Usually they are more than happy to have someone that want to get rid of their cardboard boxes for them 😉

I have a question how do cut your cardboard so perfectly? btw I make your Batman mask and Mando jetpack its crazy good.
Glad to hear that you are making these! I hope you are enjoying the build. The trick to cut the pieces with accuracy is to always use a very sharp precision knife. The idea is to change the blade regularly so that you are never using a dull blades, which is the primary reason you could end up having bad looking pieces that don't fit properly. 🙂
i have 2 things i want to ask, is there something i can use as a clear visor and can i just leave the helmet without the papermachey and paint it from the modiling paste or is the paper a inporetant part of this?
As a clear visor you could use plastic like from a bottle, and paint it with a translucent black paint for instance. And no problem you can paint it from the past! That's what I actually recommend to do, the modeling past being made for that in the first place :)
Hey maybe you should consider making Boba Fetts armor or jet pack
His armor is on my to do list already :) and maybe I will make his Jetpack too at some point.

Hi i just bought the templates but i have a question the size ro print is letter sheet and legal sheet?
As long as it is big enough to print them it doesn't matter! 🙂 What matters is to print them at 100% of the scale, don't forget they are life-size templates.... In the folder you downloaded there is file called "Read Me" don't hesitate to read it, everything is explained into it as well as at the first step of my tutorial videos.
