Definitely better than FSF in my opinion as well!! my favourites in order are Staying, Older, Broken Glass, March, and The Elevator (The elevator would be higher if it was longer smh)

I became utterly absorbed by this album. My chest physically hurt after listening to it...Lizzy has a true gift for storytelling. I'm seeing her live in August, hopefully I don't drown in tears lol. Loved your take on this album, picked up on a few things I missed in my first play through.

Maybe I’m looking too far into it, but the production on this album reminds me a lot of both The Party by Andy Shauf and Sling by Clairo. Both albums have that 50 year old guitar string thing, straight to console bass, and clarinet throughout just like this one. Would highly recommend both albums

@@bennshouts absolutely, Older definitely seems more like an "art piece" compared to FSF because it feels less experimental and LIzzy has always had more of this vibe (atleast her first ep is more like this) so it feels more as a nod to her roots and for her older fans.) Also the shift from FSF to Older reminds me a lot of Clairos shift for her album Immunity to Sling, the vibe shift is quite similar and Sling is similar to this album which definitely means that its something that will age better with time - atleast with what ive seen and personal experience people to tend to come back to albums like this more often. (sorry for that rant hopefully some of that made sense :)))) )
This is my least favorite of her three. I know it’s a highly emotional record, lyrics are paramount. But it didn’t vibe with me. Found it too sleepy, not melodic enough. Doubt, I’ll listen to it again.
