*Expectation* - is this a cold call? - no I’m just a little lost, do you mind if I take a second to tell you why I’m calling? - yea sure, here’s my credit card info *Reality* - is this a cold call? - no I’m just a little lost do you mind if I take a second to tell you why I’m calling? -yes I mind. It works better if you’re straight up with the person and say, “Yes, it is-how am I doing?” Leveraging truth and humor will do more to breakdown the resistance versus pissing in their face and telling them it’s raining.
Im curious as to why you would say your lost. When im calling a potential client, id like to convey to them that i know exactly what im doing. Being "lost" i feel gives off the impression that i dont. Any feedback?
Hi I'm working in an NGO as a social volunteer...that's not too easy oh man I'm squeezing every day with donor's on my call's could you please talk about an NGO please I mean😅 a script as well you as a donor
The saying “I’m a little lost ‘do you mind helping me out’” is attempting to trigger a natural thing us as humans do, which is like to help people that seek help. Hope I explained it a little. But of course as with anything we do I life. There are some things that work for others and some things that don’t work for some.
Try this:- Hi Mark, well I'm gonna b honest here, it is a cold call. So, would you like to hang up or let me have 30 seconds. Mark: Well that depends (He may laugh) You: Now say what you want to say cutting through the B.S! (Note- No one is a sales God here and this doesn't work on all calls, some will hang up but if you practice, add 1% humor to your tone and say this confidently, you will have more meetings). let me know if it helps anyone here.
Hi sir, Actually i am sales agent of Bitcoin Depot. We provide business to the location owner but sometime they directly hang up one the call? How should i start my call? Can you please help me
I saw a VP post about this on LinkedIn this afternoon. SR AE called him and straight up said "This is a cold call" and he ended up booking a demo with the VP. Why? Because he was straightforward and to the point (plus he had a service worth his time)
Sure there are a lot of different ways to get people interested. I'm not saying that this specific technique is the end all be all. You just got to find what fits your style
Some calls I some I was on your website and had a few questions, do you perhaps have a few minutes to answer some questions I have? I promise it is worth your valuable time.

Yea, follow your instinct here. Just be up front and ask good questions. Trust is not earned in one sentence.
no response
Yea he list me there
That’s why the video ends right after him saying he’s lost. They left out the part where the client hangs up
So, start with a lie?... Great.
Not a lie, just rephrasing
You're prolly not into sales 😌
@@o_n_y_iI agree

Is there any better alternative to saying a little lost? Because it is a cold call, and you are not really lost.

Record a live call and use this line
Try this:-

A buddy of mine at work says something similar and he has a ton set
It’s really bad but any effort is better than nothing
Client say you lost so get lost 😂
Learn their tricks so you don't fall from them.
"How are u doing" *click*
Yeah, nice move…too bad it doesn’t work.
Don't bother with "how are you doing today?", etc. unless you can sound like (tonality) you actually care. Otherwise it's gonna be a turn-off.
The finessing is real he prob got away with it couple times 😂😂
real life, you will be speaking to receptionist, then HR, you'll be lucky to speak executive assistant
If it's a good receptionist, you're never getting through 😂
Hi sir,

Can you please help me
Little lost meaning please?
How about "yes, this is a sales call. I might be able to help you solve your problem"? I don't see why sales people avoid being straightforward

Patrick isn’t saying this is the best method. This is one of the sales strategies that could work.
So what I did there is lie
That would never work with me ever
How do you get there name's
Some calls I some I was on your website and had a few questions, do you perhaps have a few minutes to answer some questions I have? I promise it is worth your valuable time.
State declaratives as questions. "Hey, this is Patrick? From XYZ?"
The tone is that they should already be familiar with you.
So what do you say after
You explain the reason for your call.
You just lied. It is a cold call but you gotta own it. Be honest and human.
Alternative to "lost"?
Why say hey how's it going how are you today. That's how you get hung up on
Interesting! I’m going to give it a try!👍🏽
thank patrick
