    The farmer's carry should be done with a weight in only one hand, then repeated with the other if it's really for your core. Holding weights in both hands like in the video makes it almost completely a forearm/grip exercise, with some upper trap engagement.

      The classic Farmers Carry (shown) definitely works the core. If it didn’t, I would be collapsing. It’s a great exercise for those who are just starting out, and then progress to the one hand. In my opinion, jumping straight into the one handed version usually ends up with people not having correct posture or tilting too much to one side (because they haven’t built up their core strength with the regular Farmer’s Carry)

    Deadlifts, squats, standing overhead press. Even less isolation, less tedious.

    Top-shelf tips.
    Farmer's Carry and Turkish Getup are, for some reason, absurdly hard with the right weight! Definitely humble you! Also, try some Suitcase Carries, they're found to be more beneficial for stability!

    these are good exercises, but i don't get how they replace ab iso workouts.... they are completely unrelated.
