"A cat doing what?"

I’ve been busier than a dog with two fking dicks RAWRRAWR
Busier than a blowfly at a barbecue
....... On concrete!
"Maybe every song does that I don't know"
Yes. Exactly.
I mean every song of them is some kind of surprise.
@@Esmeagolly their earlier stuff is a little more 1 dimensional
Good to know, i will dig them now!
He is discovering ALL of my favorite bands lmao
low key same haha
me three
Yes his channel became a great list of bands
I'm sharing these finds with my musician friends and we're having a blast. It's like our ears/brains hit the jackpot.
Same, I'm so happy of witnessing someone else's journey into this rabbit hole. I was always really bummed out I couldn't experience it again but now I am able to secondhand and it feels heart warming
In Melbourne, Australia, I've played a bunch of gigs with this band/jammed at the same rehearsal studios, and can tell you they're genuinely great dudes.
Did their bass player leave the band? Are they moving forward and still making new music?
@@jimhaskell5485 They're coming up with a new album in May.
Hydra Studios! REPRESENT!
@@jimhaskell5485 Yeah Damon left the band, they announced it on facebook some time ago. Yeah new album´s coming out this year.
They're waiting for all the videos to be completed, before they release the new album. Can. Not. Wait.
Twelve foot ninja is BEYOND underrated. I show it to everyone I know that likes rock/metal. These guys are so talented and hilarious.
It’s just a matter of time before these guys are on main stages. Sucks the bassist had to leave the band but they’re planning for a new album in 2021
Check out "coming for you" by these guys.
Funk meets metal meets reaggea. Really great
THIS: ruclips.net/video/-ST85Sui43Q/видео.html
Yup! Coming for You is the next one you should go for.
You left out samba and jazz. 😁
that song is brilliant!
Spoiler alert.... how's he gonna react now? :p
Twelve Foot Ninja - Coming For You , or , Mother Sky .
Yes mother sky is awesome
All of Silent Machine really
@@RaijinSozin such a solid album, near perfection.
Gotta love Mother Sky. I'd love to see it on this channel.
I feel like Coming for you or Sick are more diverse examples. These guys really remind me of a modern Mr Bungle.
Twelve Foot Ninja is a really special band. Insanely unique combo of Karnivool + Faith No More + Tool + Reggae + Latin + who knows what else they're thinking of at any given time. Fun to listen to as well as having some of the best music videos in the game aside from MAYBE Mastodon. Who I just realized I don't think you've listened to...Look up some Mastodon soon! "Oblivion" "Asleep In The Deep" or "Steambreather" are good places to start!
Stevic MacKay, one of their guitarists, uses a Line 6 Variax system so that he can simulate different guitar tunings in the same song. It is a modeler bases system and sounds great, as you just heard.
Yeah, actually the Shuriken Line 6 he uses is his signature guitar. He worked with Line 6 for that model. The sound even when it emulates an acustic guitar is reeeally awesome.
He even runs compound tuning on on parts of some songs so he doesn't have to move his hand from one end of the neck to the other. Technically clever stuff.
Love these guys! “Coming for You” is a more diverse song than this one (without the silly intro). These guys don’t take themselves too seriously with their videos, but are very serious in terms of their music.
Since you love listening to new bands, it’s time for Leprous!
It's absolutely time for Leprous!!
I keep posting Leprous links too lol
Yes leprous! Distant bells, the sky is red, castaway angels, slave.
All would be awesome!
If you like Leprous, give Rendezvous point a chance!
@@synnoven I directly gave them my money!! New album is incredible.
My favorite “ NEW” band in the last 10 years so eclectic and unique. Not a bad song in their entire catalog.
Seriously, there is not one bad song on their 2 albums or 2 EP's. Catchy as hell. Such a bummer the bassist has left. Kit has one of the best voices imo. Beneath the veneer of humour their lyrics explore areas of depth psychology and eastern mysticism. Deep awesome shit man.
Extremophile Elite by Between the Buried and Me!
Anything by between the buried and me. Greatest band ever.
Can confirm, their live shows are some of the funniest gigs I've ever been to.
If you want to continue to expand your Australian metal catalogue (12 foot, Karnivool) I'd highly recommend Northlane and for a composer their song 4D.
Keep up the great content!
Also Polaris! Their new album is superb! I’d recommend “All of This Is Fleeting” or “The Descent”!
Can confirm this. They're hilarious.
Also, Caligula's Horse is great!
@@Kelly.sapphire Yep, seen them live and they're great. So much awesome prog in Australia right now.
@@adam872 i saw them live years ago, but unfortunately at the time I did not know who they were. I would love to see them again now that I know their music.
Never heard of them. That was awesome! Reminded me a bit of Faith No More and early Incubus with a dusting of djent on top.
Their vocalist Kin wears his Patton influence on his sleeve.
Yep check out Coming for you and if you like that, you're set.
Dude! S.C.I.E.N.C.E is in my top ten albums!
Good call!
@@jen.g. My first TFN was "Dark passenger". I thought I had found a song by FNM that I had missed out on.
Your reaction was EXACTLY like mine, haha! It's so great to see REAL musicians appreciating how very talented and diverse music can still be out there. I'm allergic to today's popular "creations" and have little respect for the simplicity and mundane repetition that is so richly rewarded by the masses. That being said, I have to constantly remind myself that 99% of consumers just don't hear music the same way that this guy, myself, and others do. We also agree on lyrical content. I could care less about the message if there's not a statement also made sonically. Good to know we're not extinct yet!
Between the Buried and Me “Ants in the Sky”. One of the most epic journey a song could take you on and from an extremely talented band.
I would toss in "Selkies" as well.
Man that whole album is an insane journey start to finish 🔥
I was just thinking about how he needs to do some BTBAM
White walls
Swim to the Moon is the epitome of BTBAM's compostitionship. I can't wait til concerts start back up. I had/have tickets to the "The Great Misdirect" anniversary tour, and that track in a live setting is the whole reason I bought them.
They are great musicians who don't take themselves seriously, and they don't let themselves get pigeonholed into any one genre. Their Aussie sense of humour also comes through in their music videos.
Geebzs face when they started getting djenty was priceless
TFN is beyond awesome. As an old Faith No More and Mr Bungle fan, I was immediately drawn to them.
You must dig deeper into their catalog....As an old dude singer who has watched all of your reactions, I think you will dig some of their earlier stuff...Not that this is not unbelievably badass. Comin for You... or Shuriken... or Deluge...Dude I am so excited that you got to this band!!! I hate to be a 54 yr old fan boy, but I guess that is me...LOL
The first two EP's too are gold!
One of my fav bands. You should also check out their tracks “shuriken” and “coming for you”. The guitarist has his own signature variax and uses custom tunings. That’s how they get those double octave changes
The fact that you said you hear the voice as another instrument, mainly. I’ve never in my life ever heard anyone say the same thing as me nor been able to relate to that. That just made me subscribe. Wish we could have a conversation sometime, I’m in music school currently at AIMM.
Love this band. They have so much silly and comedic content in their music, but also consistently create really rhythmically and harmonically interesting stuff. The chords during the chorus between the guitar and vocals+backing vocals are really unusual and interesting. Love that the vocalist lets those clear Mike Patton influences come through too.
An Aussie Down I Go.
I first heard this band through my Spotify radio, on music related to Protest the Hero. This is is so far the only song I've heard from them, but considering it's a contender for my favorite song ever, I've been a bit scared to look into the rest of their stuff, as to not get disappointed.
One absolute banger of a song, and a great breakdown by you, as always.
I must say though; The direct link to the song on RUclips sends to a different song and band.
Watched this video last night and ended up staying up until 4 just listening through their songs and adding to my playlist. One of my bands already, the fact that they aren’t much bigger shows everything wrong with the music world of today. Kin Etik (the singer) has a really interesting vocal style where he slides between notes rather than holding them still and it really fits well with the changes in key and melody they like to implement. You can hear so many different genres and influences within their style and sound, from Faith no more to Opeth etc. Their clean transitions remind me of System of a Down
You could be ready for . . . The Dillinger Escape Plan! "One of us is the killer" would be a good place to start.
Tony Danza Tap Dance Extravaganza, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Between The Buried and Me, more fun bands to give a listen to.
Yes to all of this
Big love for the Twelve Foot Ninja! Good to see some Aussie representation :D
TFN is absolutely mental! Such talent and they're having a blast while going at it for sure indeed!
Twelve Foot Ninja is incredible. Definitely one of my favorites. Check out Shuriken.
One of my favorite ever bands! I love the irregularity and change of rhythm. They are always unexpected and they seem to 'get' the finer points of heavy metal and fusion. Love 'em, shout out from Canada!
Between the Buried and Me
These guys are by far the most underrated band at the moment, I watched them at Download on a small stage, where they could have tripled the audience given the space. Brilliant creative talent
I love how empassioned your ending rant was, holy balls man your love of music is an inspiration to me
This made me so happy. Awesome seeing your reactions, they're exactly what i felt the first time i heard/saw this track. Great piece.
First video I've seen of yours. So cool to see you listen to it. It really reminds me of the first time i listened to them. To see you process it makes me stoked. You are a real dude, my dude.
The Chorus reminds me so much of Faith no More-this Voice and the sound, like Faith no More “resurrected” for a moment. 🤘🏼
Omg I'm sooooo glad you did this song! It was highly entertaining to see my own reaction mirrored in you as they switch from the metal style to the chill rhythm stuff. It's amazing. These dudes are super fun and cool.
These guys do what they want. They even released a cover of Huey Lewis' "Stuck With You" last year for the hell of it while in lockdown. They are even talented enough to convert their craziness to really tasteful, amazing acoustic sessions.
I was so happy to get the notification you uploaded a video I requested 😇😇
Please do more from them; it's all this good.
First time hearing them through your channel and all I can say is the song is so much FUN. Hard, funky, groovy, sarcastic, and just exudes a sense of fun which really draws me in.
Pretty sure I've found my new favorite RUclips channel! I drive a truck and just slammed the playlist of these reactions on the other night shift and played a whole heap. Really enjoying it. Thanks for the effort.
I never thought he’d do it... but look at him now, I’m so glad that I’ve come across your channel. Awesome videos!!
Mate, loving your videos! You are choosing the best songs to react to.

COMING FOR YOU BY TWELVE FOOT NINJA
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Dude, I am so pleased by how pleased you are with these cats. I was honestly waiting for you to come across Twelve Foot Ninja since I found your channel. Someone so distinguished in music as yourself was bound to have taken an interest in what they bring to the table.
hahahahaha This is awesome. I watch all of your Vlogs, it feels like you know what my playlist is.
So glad you got to these guys! They are total entertainment! They're funny, catalog doesn't have a single bad song in it. Thank you!
Man, when the song really starts, hitted me with like a truck, that guitar was so sick!!! And the changes, incredibke!!! I'm a fan right now!!!!!
It made me so happy to see you so happy hearing this.
I love these guys - they're top blokes and write killer tunes that just feel so fresh and unique.
Thanks man! Got into your TOOL videos and started watching more, you arr showing me some great music too! Spread tye love!
It's nice to see another digest and delve deep into peoples minds. obviously, you are a talented man, Loved your insight.
great pick!!!! these guys are so awesome in every way. coming for you is a great next step!
Great vid man. Really interesting to hear about compositions of one of my favorite bands as I don't know much about the actual composing and making of music. Keep up the good work.
Yesss this song always gives me goosebumps. Loved seeing your first reaction
Brilliant video :D I love this band so so much! They are so fun and entertaining (not to mention pretty dang talented too ^^)
Oh man, looks like you've been busy ;)
Twelve Foot Ninja are one of my favourite bands! Met em in person too, Stevic is one of the nicest dudes I've ever met. Plus their use of Variax guitars is what inspired me to get my own Shuriken (Stevic designed Variax)
It makes me smile that you enjoyed this. I share your enthusiasm. One of the more fun bands to listen to. Good mix of fun and heavy. Keep it goin'!
Thanks Geebz... Your reaction was exactly how I imagined it would be!!
Thanks for checking these guys out, I really wish they were more popular
That Australian sense of humour. They're from my home city, Melbourne. Aussie bands are super unique. Try Cog - Real Life, interesting vocalist.
Great suggestion with Cog, could pick just about any song off their two albums. Incredible stuff.
@@bentarpey8666 yeah it's always tricky deciding which Cog song to recommend. Unfortunately they haven't caught on in this wave of reaction channels, but they fit perfectly next to all the Tool, Porcupine Tree, etc reactions.
@@themetalpig7613 shame they weren't more active and capitalise on the reception of their albums. They are equally great records for different reaaons and going by the strength of "the middle" they have more great stuff to offer.
I went to school with Shane Russell. He was a cool cat back then, always skipping class going to the music room and rocking it out in there.
@@themetalpig7613 I just commented on another thread on this video that poor old Cog just can't seem to get the traction/enough requests for "reactors" to give them a shot. There's a ton of people worldwide who I think would love them but are just unaware they exist/existed...
Woohoo!! I requested this, they are awesome 😎👍🤘
12 Foot Ninja need more exposure, one of my favourite bands. Thanks for the breakdown.
I'm SO GLAD you found/someone suggested this. I love Twelve Foot Ninja.
You definitely need to listen to coming for you, like other comments have said, that will show you how much fun these guys like to have 👌🏻🙏🏻
I love that you loved it Geebz!
Seriously, how talented are these guys!? Love them!
This is one of my favorite bands! I love their mix of metal with so many fun genres. Great to see you vibe to them! Stevic, one of their guitarist, uses a Line 6 JTV pedal that switches tunings and outputs to sounds like different style of guitars. There's a short vid of him going through it you'd maybe enjoy. Love to see the content!
"I don't know if this is their thing ... or if this is a break in the album." This is the opening track lmao. They love to mix things up, borrow themes, genres and all sorts, they're very versatile and creative.
first time viewer def got my follow love your style...you reacted the same way i did to these guys i love everything they do its soooooo good...
Portrait #1 off of their first EP.
Vanguard, Silent Machine, Ain't that a Bitch and Luna off of the first record.
Sick, Monsoon, Oxygen, Collateral Damage and Dig for Bones off the last record. All great songs worth checking out.
Yes! Told you there would be some fun surprises! :) It was a real joy to see you unravel it! Aloha!
My first time seeing any of your videos. Gotta say I really dig it!
Thank you soooooooooooo much for decomposing that song. It's amazing you did this. Twelve Foot Ninja needs so much more attention. Great to hear your input on that song because when you're too much of a fan (like me), we forget how complex and construct some songs can be. Next song to decompose A New Day from Karnivool. You want chicken skin ? You'll get it so much you're going be able to sand some wood with it !
Always love your dissections, great reaction.
Twelve Foot Ninja are, as you say, incredibly skilled and just daft as a bag of unicorn brushes. "Coming for you" is a great show of that eclectic genre switching that they're awesome at. Sick is my favourite just for that lush chorus and the Mr. Bungle style feel of the verses.
..another excellent breakdown..
..i'm glad your daughter pushed you to this..
..your technical input, and prowess makes all music that much better, and more appreciated..
..aloha..
_"Been busy like a decomposer reacting to some great stuff..."_
Busy little beaver, eh?
I really appreciate someone exploring genres they are not used to because it brings a fresh look to a song or an album. As someone who mostly listen to metal, some nuances get lost through sheer musical habit.
I'd be really curious to see you try out Ulcerate, especially something out of the latest album, like Stare into Death and be Still. The craftmanship and atmosphere those guys bring to the table is otherwordly.
Nice content as always btw, cheers
I think you'll really enjoy the song Fast Worms by Intronaut, they're a progressive metal band that uses a lot of jazz elements. Here is the link to the music video:
ruclips.net/video/MOxxAdRtU1w/видео.html
Yeah! Intronaut would be right at home on this channel. Probably one of the most underrated prog bands out there
7:26 Haha yeah that's what they do, it's their brand of humour!
They're having a blast in the video, you had a blast watching them and now I'm having a blast watching you react to it. 😂
Maybe my fastest sub ever. This guy rocks. He nailed TFN's demeanor by listening to only half of a song. And I love how we wasn't afraid to just let it play until he felt a grip on it. New fan.
I'm glad you found these guys. I have recently rediscovered them beyond this video and it's exactly what music should be.
Archspire - A Dark Horizontal
Incredible guitar work from a Canadian tech-death band.
Human Murmuration
can't wait for more 12 foot ninja reactions. They're amazing.
You're incredible ma Dude. All the best from Orlando!!
Yes! More new stuff. Appreciate taking a journey with you when there's new to me stuff too.
I instantly fell in love with this band when i first listened to that song. Also the rest of their stuff is great, enjoy exploring.
I'm glad another TFN fan has been created.
They deserve way more recognition.
Finally someone checking this song out. That bass kicking in at the beginning. Sweetness.
Their song coming for you is also really good im sure you’ll love it🤘🏽
been busy have ya!!
glad you've experienced TFN, they mind bogglingly good live
those guys remind me so much of "maximum the hormone" and i'm absolutely thrilled about that! i've been looking for something comparable for ages.
You're introducing me to some brand new favourite bands dude. These guys are great.
Such a geniune reaction. Awesome!!
I've never seen so much Aussie in a metal video before...and I love it!
Haha! I love 12 Foot Ninja. So glad you reviewed this video, and to see your appreciation for their style. Amazingly fun band, with such varied nuances and heavy hitting tracks. In my own opinion, it’s the most 12 foot ninja song they have, the best introduction song to discover the band. Really grows on you too.
A couple other Australian suggestions, not so metal (but more raw, and somewhat offbeat like 12 Foot Ninja); The Drones - To Think That I Once Loved You; or Tropical Fuck Storm - Chameleon Paint. Both bands have the same singer, and vocals to rival Nick Cave.
This reminds me of something, I think you'd have lots of fun reacting to something by Mr. Bungle, they got kinda of this quirky aspect to them too
Like a djent-y Faith No More a bit.
@@CFChristian Twelve Foot Ninja? Indeed it is!
Yeah, I was definitely getting Faith No More vibes. I've heard a little bit of 12'N, but never really *listened* to them.
yeah i always described them as a heavy australian faith no more
This is exactly like Mr. Bungle
Haha amazing reaction, love always loved this track
Found you because of Tool. Will stay for Twelve Foot Ninja! They are always great! Good luck buddy.
