I'm a black goth and metalhead guy. I've been a metalhead for over a decade I really love this song by them. I would recommend Kingdom, and Mother sky by them.
I found TFN pretty late, maybe late 2018 or first thing 2019 - couldn't get into a ton of their stuff, but man, this song absolutely crushed me. That riff and the tone of both the guitar and bass got my ear pregnant. I appreciate the change-ups and stuff, but I wish there was a version of the song without it. I could listen to those three guitar parts on a loop for about 12 hours straight and it's really great driving music. Great reaction. "That's how it ends.... sure, why not?"
Twelve Foot Ninja is awesome; all their releases are just as fun and top notch musicianship. If you want something really fun to try next and musically on-point? Psychostick-Obey the Beard.
The intro(-ish) and midway lead guitar/bass riff thing reminds me of the sounds dial-up modems made when connecting to the Internet. Anyone else notice that? Thanks for the analysis of the tune Chase, I fell in love with these dudes when a mate showed me the Coming For You video several years back. First band I've ever seen live without a single amplifier up on stage. :P The guitar and pedal combos these dudes use are unreal, with a tap of a foot switch suddenly your guitar sounds like the strings are tuned differently or are of a different guitar entirely, perhaps nylon string accoustic if you like. Electric drum kit, et al. An absolutely awesome gig, their energy was amazing, and I got a photo with Kin, the lead singer, afterward! I'm about to search to see if you've reviewed any 'Dirty Loops' songs. No common link to TFN whatsoever. :P If not, please check out their track "Work Shit Out". I just had a minor flash of insight - a band you might get a kick out of reacting to that I've *never* seen anybody do before. They're a Russian folk metal band (slightly similar vein to Eluveitie) who use modern and traditional instruments (heavy metal accordion, anyone?), they've got a female lead singer who does both clean and harsh vocals (not on the same level as Jinjer but sometimes similar), and their songs often shift back and forth between metal and folk in a way that breaks their songs up in a rather unique way (not dissimilar to Twelve Foot Ninja). Assuming this is a comment you even see, given how popular your channel is getting, you might get a kick out of the band ARKONA. The second song of theirs I ever heard had a great live-concert video but studio-recorded audio - "Yarilo" - including not only an accordion, but also a balalaika! Just throwing that out there. Hope you've having a damn good day! :)
