Rock n Roll may never die but Chuck Berry's deviated ass sure did. I was never a rolling stones fan but I am a big fan of Keith Richards. Without Keith the stones would've never existed.

That trademark Richards laugh & smile at the end is Keith's admiration, love and appreciation for his greatest musical influence, the legendary Chuck Berry.
One of the best quotes ever is when John Lennon said if it wasn't called Rock and Roll it'd be called Chuck Berry...truer words never to be spoken!
Even though he's part of the Rolling Stones, I find Keith Richards to be an underrated musician.

This why Keith Richards is the Einstein of rock n' roll. Loves the guitar and its music for a whole lifetime just as much as the day he started.
I saw the Stones at the LA Colosseum many years ago, and I still remember how surprised I was at what a great guitar player Keith R. was/is. The man is a legend in his own time.
Now I have to watch Hail! Hail! Rock ‘n’ Roll to watch Chuck and Keith playing together. Great documentary.
In Hail Hail there is ~30 secs where Keith plays the portion of Carol (at ~0:06 in this YT video) incorrectly, irritating Chuck, who then repeatedly tries to correct/teach him, while Keith never gets it right. It's not clear if Keith couldn't do it Chuck's way, or was intentionally doing it wrong just to further irritate him.
Man I miss them playing Chuck Berry songs.

@@timolexmusic exactly! I was hoping Keith would choose to pop one in his set! Heck they could kill Good Golly Miss Molly (Little Richard) if they had the balls to do it. Drop Satisfaction, You Can't Always Get What You Want and Miss You, and the setlist would open up.

Thats all its about man, right to its core, those same Chuck Berry songs that he (Keith Richards) listened to, snuggling up beside a record player, in his youth. I used to do the same to the beatles on an 8 track.

No band has ever lasted over 60 years like The Rolling Stones.The number of hits they wrote is staggering. Nobody has had the staying power like Mick,Keith,Ronnie,Charlie,Bill. Their ability to keep millions of fans interested in their music is a testament to their talent,drive. Let’s face it they could have stopped making music decades ago but they chose to continue even after the death of Charlie Watts. It’s only Rick n Roll but I like it?

Yeah I still watch Hail Hail Rock and Roll now and then. Chuck Berry would be well into his 100’s if still alive now. The music still works for me. Three chords…double stop intros or whatever, the Chuck product was a popular buy amongst folk. Stil happening, just changes hands, peo0le come and go. Recordings live on
Hail Hail rock and roll was a brilliant tribute to one of the founders of rock and roll. You're right, just simple 3 cords but he made it sound so good,brilliant lyrics as well,great guitarist and a total showman, Chuck was the man. Also he wasn't quite as old as you thought my man,he was 90 when he died in 2017 he'd be 95 if he was still alive now,he'd turn 96 in October .

I'm not sure if this was 'Carol'. I'll always remember Richards playing out of his skin to the beat of 'Carol' 50 years ago.
Splitting hairs, he was playing ALONG to 'Carol' in the same key but playing second guitar, playing over the record.
