    After the Maxxforce Engine Failure
Lot of people don't trust international

Trust Scania, S13 ain't made by International. It's a Scania engine through and through with International badges. Only thing that I might be worried about if the old Scania engines are anything to go by is that when you start getting close to 500K miles, it's gonna start pissing coolant from the head, cause the coolant pipes go bad.

Did you get the winter front from Navistar, or had it made? I have one for my LT, but was thinking I’d have to do a custom one for the new grille.

What’s the price on a new engine on this truck?

Likely 40-60k, the old piece of %$^& maxxforce 13 was around 36k.. And almost ten years ago price, so this new S13 will probably be on the high end, closer to 60k

Still have the fuse box on top of the dash, poor design as these windshields are prone to leaking

The fuse box prevents any liquid from getting in because of how they've designed it. The water will end up on the floor instead

I thought with new engine, international would have a new truck design instead of that vienermobile or sausage car. But at least, it has got a new engine

🤔 I'm sorry international .... We've owned the 9400s and the '9900s But the MaxForce practically bankrupt me and thousands of other carriers.....
Unless you're going to give like a 3-year bumper to bumper and a 700,000 mi warranty on emissions and engine components there's no way I would touch that new engine with a 120 ft pole.....

      It's a Scania engine...

Scania smania,if it doesn't have an extended warranty out the gate that's bumper to bumper I'll pass .😮

@@ftworthgent Maxxforce was american engineering. Comparing it to an european Scania Powertrain is like comparing a Ford Pinto against an Mercedes S-Class.

Scania Super engine ain't that dogshit, the transmission tho, being opticruise based might be a bit more of an issue, not because of reliability but because the transmission programming sucks ass and it doesn't know what the fuck it's doing when it is hauling proper weight.

Fortunately, it's a well proven power train over in other parts of the world. It's a really good engine.
