Hey Josh, thanks for sharing this video, it was a lot of fun to watch and see the different rifle setups, bags and gear. The drag race was also a blast to see (video).
Thanks for putting on the match Josh. It was a ton of fun and great to meet all the shooters that attended. Quite a wide range of hardware there as well.
Thank you for hosting this match. All of us who make the trip down from Maine had a fantastic time, and it was great to meet you in person. Now we need to convince you to come up here and shoot!
Hey Josh. This is freaking awesome! We’ve gotta set one up here on Cape Cod! I’ll try to catch up with you to pick your brain on one of your weekend Live-casts. Great Job!
@@shannond1044 I haven't decided on when yet. I'm planning a few more matches out there but waiting to see when. Should have it posted on my website by end of Jan with dates and registration
We do a similar match here in Germany. 100m Speed on paper target going in 5 shot groups from 120 seconds down to 30 seconds 200m steel gong in two different sizes and different points. Gong #1 15cm 10 points per hit; Gong #2 20cm 7 points per hit 300m steel gong in two different sizes and different points. Gong #1 20c, 10 points per hit; Gong #2 25cmx40cm 7 points per hit Great fun, but due to the German laws and regulations we only had one shooting range we could shoot the .22lr at 300m and that is in Wiesbaden. But they had to close the 300m range due to damages and repairs are taking quite a while.
Looks like a fun match! Im the match director for an NRL22 match here in northern Ohio. Thinking i may try putting on one of these in the spring. What are you charging for a match fee?
@@coreyghayes you would think so but nah not really lol. I spotted all day and even when they were clean I heard "hit it, don't know where" all day. Also it's a random draw for shooting order.
@@PursuitofAccuracy Interesting! I guess if you can't see it through the spotting scope, they can't see it through their rifle scope. I'm just down the road in SC. I need to get out more...
@ oh now I could see it clear as day lol. They couldn't. I had the tract on 45x and my phone on 2-3x so for me it was pretty easy to see. It wasn't until I got on my rifle that I saw why they were not seeing it too lol
It's a prs / nrl thing. We typically call out a hit by saying impact. In the case of the drag race we had one side spotter call impact and the other hit that way the shooter would know which spotter was theira
I wouldn't say spray and pray. You have to read the wind and make good corrections. The wind makes it hard for sure. The last relay of shooters your seeing in this video was probably the hardest relay of the day

The footage looks really nice
The shoot off bracket, I'm gonna borrow that idea with the 8 Target Kyl at my next match. Should be a crowd pleaser. Great Vid and Match!

What ammo were the top shooters using?
Our club doesn't paint the gongs to keep it more fair for those shooting at the end of the match

I charged 30 for that one
What ammo was popular?
@@tomweaver7851 it was all over the place lol
my question too!
@@AldoSchmedack lol. Basically all types of match ammo was there.
The earlier shooters had an advantage as they could see where they were hitting on the plate.

Josh have you done any bullet reprofiling and check accuracy difference. ?
I havent
Did I hear some guys shooting supersonic ammo?
Some of the ammo was a little hotter match ammo, believe a few were using rws r100
Can somebody explain to me why ya'll say "impact" and not "hit"?

Does every shooter get new paint?😅

Looks like everyone of these guys were southpaw. Nevermind it was the camera when they were doing the speed shoot and the targets were above them.
@@JustinTaylor-po7xe at the end I reverse the image so the target is above the shooter. All correct handed shooters 😂

Long Gong or Spray n Pray? The prs style side stage really revealed what a crap shoot this match is.
