This is why I respect Myke's opinion the most. He doesn't like Kanye the person but doesn't let that distract from the quality of the album; Kinge clearly can't separate the two.

If someone said that The Fugees brought the best out of Wyclef, or that The Lox brought the best out of Jadakiss, would you look at that like someone giving the other members of those groups more credit? I wouldn't. I'd look at it like them being praised for what they can do when they have the right people to synergize with. If I can step into a different genre as an analogy, James Newton Howard's best music is when he scores for M Night films - in other words, JNH is at his best when he collaborates with M Night. That said, I do think Ken is struggling with accepting just how much he liked it, but the idea that him saying when Kanye is at his best was him discrediting Kanye is just false.
Upful Soul I agree the bar is low for Kanye now but this album exceeded expectations imo. It was a sonically challenging album, Kanye hasn't done that for half a decade when he released yeezus. And the vocal performances were actually stellar from start to finish unlike on yeezus. This is the best thing he's dropped since MBDTF
It was all over the place though. Also what about the super rough mixing on the first few releases for tracks like FSMH or Wolves? I like TLOP but it’s kind of a mess.
Yes Ye has made great albums for himself. But they forget that Ye was redone so of course it wasn't going to have as much time spent on it especially with Ye literally finishing up the albums for everyone else.
I think Kids See Ghosts is referring to Cudi’s father passing and Ye’s mother passing. Both of which had huge impacts on Scott and Kanye not only as men but artists as well.
SSJ Blue Evolution Mastered Ultra Instinct Gogeta Ikr this album is like Kanye doing music for a hobby. It had some interesting beats but short songs and often poor vocals from Cudi. Kanye did have good flows on some of the tracks though.
My take on the title: Going back to Ghost Town Part 1 off of Ye (an obvious precursor to KSG), I think the line "we're still the kids we used to be" is definitely related. Back in late April, Kanye kept tweeting about how kids are innocent and pure because their minds haven't been corrupted by the world yet, and how we're all dying to be kids again (aka ourselves). One tweet said: "We're dying because we've lost our inner child." So the 'Ghosts' could literally be themselves now, dying, while the 'Kids', aka their inner child, watches (or sees). Kids See Ghosts. All of that ties in with the mental health stuff as well. They're trying to find their inner child to rid of pain and feel FREEEEEEEEEEEEE. "My childlike creativity, purity and honesty is honestly being crowded by these grown thoughts. Reality is catching up with me, taking my inner child, I'm fighting for a custody." -Kanye on 'Power'
I didnt even see it as a conspiracy theory actually. He wasn't even knocking Kanye, all he was saying was that Kanye seems to be at his best when he collaborates with other people. Rod echoed what he was saying perfectly - that as an artist, sometimes when we work alone we can get so meticulous and neurotic about our work that it becomes mechanical instead of organic...which sometimes makes a difference in the quality of the work. You'd be surprised how many artists, of all types, can relate to this. Ken wasn't emphasizing the shortcomings of Kanye's solo efforts nearly as much as he was praising the strengths of how great he is when he collaborates. It wasn't a diss. It was Ken essentially expressing what he feels Kanye needs to do more of in order for him to continue to become a fan again.
The only reason why Ye doesn't sound as polished or well crafted as Daytona and KSG is because Kanye did "Ye" in 3 weeks basically, it has nothing to do with kanye working harder on other ppl's projects.
ChrisJ Fox he was already working on the first version of the album for months just like with pusha and KSG, Kanye rushing the process on an album only applied with Ye.
I think it's because Ken specifically is obviously biased and tries way too hard to hate on stuff that sounds fresh and experimental and new regularly. If you watch enough reviews on this channel Ken seems OLD AS FUCK in terms of what he likes and doesn't like. He also complains a shitload about just ad-libbing types of stuff like Kanye on Feel the Love or the stuff Chance was doing on Acid Rap.
Banana Rama i hear ya but I'd say he just likes what he likes Plus, and this is a big plus, Ken was actually giving Kanye credit here for how well he did. I'm not even big on Kanye (TLOP was decent, Ye is meh to me) but it takes me outta the review if it seems like someone is backhanded complimenting or has a weird bias or suspects a conspiracy/agenda for the fanbase of the artist. It's cool that he likes what he likes but it also sounds like he's way too narrow minded for the specific kinda shit he wants to hear at times. Like c'mon fam, just take a breath. I do agree that Kanye's at his best when he collaborates with others. Kanye's lack of lyricism gets kinda hidden if other people help fill the track out and he can focus on one dope verse and shit like that. Or he'll step it up because of the bar being raised.

As far as the production debate, ya are missing the fact that 'ye' was scrapped and totally redone after Kanye's TMZ interview. The other projects were in the works for a longer time which is why the production quality is so different compared to the other albums. I'm sure Kanye was OK with redoing his entire album weeks before the release but he wouldn't do that to anyone else's project.

kinge still misses the point that 'ye' was a 3 week project and every other project had wayyyy more time to be developed. im interested in the scrapped ye album
What I love about the Cobain sample is that there's a certain kind of poetry having a song with the words "stay strong" over a sample by someone who succumbed to their mental illness. It's a cold reminder of what untreated mental illness can lead to.
Kinge ruined this review and ye’s review Because of his personal vendetta against kanye, myke and feefo cant let out their opinions without kinge questioning their opinion. Anyone agree?
This was an exceptional album, dunno about giving it a 10/10 like the melonlord did, cuz imo it’s no TPAB, buuuut it’s definitely one of the albums of the year.
S Mac melon doesn’t think ksg is a tpab. You really can’t compare his 10/10s, it’s more of the musical experiences he had are comparable. Complex, interesting, and different. The money store isn’t a tpab. Totally different types of hip hop
This is what happens when you have a preconceived idea about an artists and it doesn't allow you to be even the least bit objective. Ken has such a personal bias against Kanye that he is not able to critique the album honestly. He has to configure his argument around his previous statements about Kanye personally. Its really interesting how the rest of the team really just moved on from Ken. It was hilarious. I really wish that they reviewed the Saba and Skyzoo projects. I am assuming that it is too late for both of them. Its kinda sad.
I like Kinge's perspective but he didn't make too much sense here. i think his personal opinion of Kanye the person is clouding his judgment of this album, which is fair but he should be more honest and just say it.
Marcus INfinity but who gives a shit about someone’s opinion! If he feels that Kanye is washed up he’s washed!!! Not everyone is gonna enjoy what you enjoy.. that’s pretty selfish of you if you want somebody to agree with you.. not nobody is going to kiss yo ass
The lyrics, production, and emotion on this thing are second to none ....its pshydelic therapeutic and its Kanye and Cudi at their best my personal favorite Kanye album you can just feel this album
Curt James which is making ye statement make more sense cuz he has the choice to not listen and slaves had the choice to come together and take over there plantation they deadass outnumbered them like 80 to 1 so it is like they made a choice they let their mind become mentally trapped and people don’t get that ye was trying to say that
@@Bighero6man Shit bro even if the slaves didn't outnumber them, I personally would rather die fighting trying to get my freedom than be a slave. Like fuck being somebody's slave that ain't living.
Myke’s reaction on 2:00 was exactly how I reacted when I first heard Kanye saying that “rapararapa” shit on Feel the love 😂 Anyways I think this album is just amazing. I wasn’t expecting to be into it at all but it definitely proved me wrong.
I’m just happy all the respect that CUDI. Is getting I feel he’s been deserved it. I feel like all his albums are classics but there not all for everyone I’m glad KSG resonates with the masses.
What Kanye did on "feel the love" was to sample the Mike scream on "do you remember" but like a DJ, he changed the tempo and sound configuration to sound different. Something also similar to what Big shaq did on "man's not hot". Kudis hums on "reborn" reminds me of "Ocean drive". The voice texture of Kudi bears semblance to that of the lead singer of " Lighthouse Family", by name Tunde.
Put all the albums together in one playlist and put it on shuffle. Man, when you play them together, Ye is meant to be heard with Kids see Ghosts! They sound better together, and gives Kanye’s vision more texture. Great stuff.
no he still salty..never liked his opinions on music anyway since it seems like he only prefers certain types of tracks and never branches out. used to think he was the guy to listen to about production tho, but if he's not giving KANYE WEST beats a listen then I'm done with this dude. so salty.

I agree man I def think it would have been better than ye
What I love about the Cobain sample is that there's a certain kind of poetry having a song with the words "stay strong" over a sample by someone who succumbed to their mental illness. It's a cold reminder of what untreated mental illness can lead to.
Kids see ghosts was 🔥
Wait... Myke got a masters? Grats man.
No. Ken does
Yo I'll send B the pirated file so he can listen to it guilt-free
Kids see ghosts 👻 was fire
The Life of Pablo is underrated
He had way more producers on Pablo and Yeezus than on MBDTF
Kinge ruined this review and ye’s review
Because of his personal vendetta against kanye, myke and feefo cant let out their opinions without kinge questioning their opinion. Anyone agree?
Ok now in the second half hes acting more understandable
Ye wasn't the original album.
Daytona: 9.9.
Ye: 7.5
Kids See Ghosts: 9.6
NYNE THA GXD thats kinda how i feel on all of em
NYNE THA GXD.
I agree up until KSG
That gets a 4\10
Bizarre N Rugged damn i mean thats youre opinion and i respect it. But a 4? Its so much better than ye lol
Ye is like a 6-7 to me but Kanye production is so 🔥
DEATH GXD 9.9? Trying too hard
This was an exceptional album, dunno about giving it a 10/10 like the melonlord did, cuz imo it’s no TPAB, buuuut it’s definitely one of the albums of the year.
S Mac Melon gets excited
Couldn't even give Blonde a 10/10, but this got one.
S Mac melon doesn’t think ksg is a tpab. You really can’t compare his 10/10s, it’s more of the musical experiences he had are comparable. Complex, interesting, and different. The money store isn’t a tpab. Totally different types of hip hop
Matt Level WORLD kids see melons sometimes man
Melon is in the fan service business now
ken and beezy so salty lmfao
Ken's face when he admits that Kanye made a solid project is my face whenever I have to admit I was wrong in an arguement. Fucking rolling right now
People are hating on Ken's hating, and it's hilarious 😂😂😂
Don't let this review distract you from the Fact Fantano gave this album a 10/10.
Nas EP done
I see what you did there
Lmao
Lmao
Kek
BEEZY DON'T FADE AWAY
GONE TOO SOON ;-;
I recon he will be back for the nas album, probably the one worth reviewing, a couple of good songs on there.
i think this and Daytona sound more refined than Ye because they weren't made in a few weeks
I like Kinge's perspective but he didn't make too much sense here. i think his personal opinion of Kanye the person is clouding his judgment of this album, which is fair but he should be more honest and just say it.
Who cares if Kinge don’t like Kanye that’s how he feels.. lol
Don Yeezy909 facts over feelings,
Marcus INfinity but who gives a shit about someone’s opinion! If he feels that Kanye is washed up he’s washed!!! Not everyone is gonna enjoy what you enjoy.. that’s pretty selfish of you if you want somebody to agree with you.. not nobody is going to kiss yo ass
Don Yeezy909 too much estrogen.. Tldr
Marcus INfinity well you will get that a lot in this life sir... deal with it or go hide somewhere
@@heemnificent He went into hiding lol
Kanye threw everyone off with “ye”, then dropped a gem with “kids see ghosts.” He’s a genius-period.
kanye is more experimental on his own album, he finds a sound that fits better with certain people he works with
from chicago, grew up with college dropout...but never looked for Kanye lyrically
The lyrics, production, and emotion on this thing are second to none ....its pshydelic therapeutic and its Kanye and Cudi at their best my personal favorite Kanye album you can just feel this album
Ken isn't Making Sense AT ALL!!!!!!!
he just too biased lol
He old now..
He doesn’t judge albums he judges the people
Jay white exactly!
Marcus INfinity lol
Is Beezy really tripping off the comments Kanye made
Curt James which is making ye statement make more sense cuz he has the choice to not listen and slaves had the choice to come together and take over there plantation they deadass outnumbered them like 80 to 1 so it is like they made a choice they let their mind become mentally trapped and people don’t get that ye was trying to say that
ammar tzanakis slaves were conditioned to fear revolting against the "superior", but yes its apparent lack of objectivity is mental chains ⛓
@@Bighero6man Shit bro even if the slaves didn't outnumber them, I personally would rather die fighting trying to get my freedom than be a slave.
Like fuck being somebody's slave that ain't living.
Y'all convinced me to listen to it by the way y'all was talking Beezy into listening it. Good job on being influencers lol
Kids See Ghosts is one of the albums of the year. 10/10
Myke C-Town rockin that Ulver shirt
Kids See John Cena
Kens a hater! This album amazing 🙌
I love Kanye but I still thing that this album was just good, not amazing
best Cudi album of all time.
almost as good as MOTM1
Me
MOTM1 n MOTM2 both better
Whoever decided to fade Beezy out in the thumbnail is CHILDISH 😂😂
Myke’s reaction on 2:00 was exactly how I reacted when I first heard Kanye saying that “rapararapa” shit on Feel the love 😂 Anyways I think this album is just amazing. I wasn’t expecting to be into it at all but it definitely proved me wrong.
Kids See Beezy
I like how the reviews come out the day of the midnight releases for the next g.o.o.d music album.
9:06 My Dark Twissa Fanny
4th Dimension and Cudi Montage are the standouts for me when I initially listened to it. Now I love every song and most tracks are neck and neck.
I just realized Beezy is transparent in the thumbnail of this video lmfao😂😂😂. Y'all childish as hell.
Will T.C.3 I didn't notice till you said something. Shit got me rolling
I fell off laughing i swear to god
Don't peer pressure Beezy! I love this album but let him be comfortable with his stance. We understand. Overall great review.
5:30 is the only part where Kinge made sense
That perceptual narrowing shit blew my mind Myke. That's such an incredibly deep concept.
Did anyone else notice the thumbmail of this video lmaooo.
contender for AOTY imho
Ya'll peep that they have B faded in the Thumbnail? 😂
I’m just happy all the respect that CUDI. Is getting I feel he’s been deserved it. I feel like all his albums are classics but there not all for everyone I’m glad KSG resonates with the masses.
“Whatever Kanye is for, I’m against.”
-Kinge
What Kanye did on "feel the love" was to sample the Mike scream on "do you remember" but like a DJ, he changed the tempo and sound configuration to sound different. Something also similar to what Big shaq did on "man's not hot". Kudis hums on "reborn" reminds me of "Ocean drive". The voice texture of Kudi bears semblance to that of the lead singer of " Lighthouse Family", by name Tunde.
feefo: kanye-
K3n: really??
Wasn’t waitin’ on this! Was very impressed with this project, and I hope we get more in the future.
Fav. Tracks: Fire/Reborn/Kids See Ghost
lol Ken is trying really hard not give Kanye credit here, but even he can't deny this was a solid project.
Seeing more of their thoughts on paranormal shit would be great
The real Cudi stood up on this project!
My favorite channel , much love y'all
Myke, that Ulver shirt 👍👍👍
Put all the albums together in one playlist and put it on shuffle. Man, when you play them together, Ye is meant to be heard with Kids see Ghosts! They sound better together, and gives Kanye’s vision more texture. Great stuff.
Myke and feefo pissed this whole review
LMAO damn ken going through physical pain trying to get these words out @5:07
Did Beezy listen to the album this time?
Richard Black Nah.
no he still salty..never liked his opinions on music anyway since it seems like he only prefers certain types of tracks and never branches out. used to think he was the guy to listen to about production tho, but if he's not giving KANYE WEST beats a listen then I'm done with this dude. so salty.
Richard Black it’s not he like he ever talks anyway
Logan Bright beezy became the hipster myke use to be
Need Kid See Ghosts to be on some Run The Jewels level and release back to back amazing albums, they definitely both have the talent and creativity.
