Daniel Willis I don’t know the exact percent but a large percentage of Cudi’s lyrics are about dealing with issues detrimental to ones mental health; depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, contemplating suicide but instead of just saying things like “I wanna kill my self” he goes in depth with his lyrics and a lot of people can relate to him and I know for me at least help them not feel so alone. I can’t even BEGIN to explain my love and thankfulness for Cudi. Adults ask me what kind of music I listen to expecting me to say Ariana Grande or Billie Eilish and like I do still listen to them but here’s the thing; they’re always shocked when I say I listen to Kid Cudi. They always say “Wow how do you know who that is? He was poppin when I was in like high school!” It’s not a shocker to my mom of course, I mean she was the reason why I’m like the biggest Cudder ever hahahah but still seeing and knowing that Scott is in a good place and he’s doing better us a relief :)
