Hi Brian! I'm from Ontario. and the T sticker on the plate stands for temporary. The ministry gives you that sticker so you can legally drive your vehicle to get emissions tests or inspections done. then you get the yearly sticker.
T means temporary, it's a plate issued by the ministry of transportation for a vehicle which is not fully registered yet, often used to carry a vehicle home after purchase
Awesome entertainment Brian. I'm re-couping from a motorcycle accident and I can't DO anything. Between your awesome videos and my nursey wife I think I might survive this. Thanks so much.
Hope you heal fast and it's not your spine. You're a lucky man to have a good woman who will do that! Between my stubbornness, skill set and pride I pretty much drive myself to the hospital and patch myself up! lol The last whoopsie I had found me with duct tape closing up a face wound and me driving myself to the hospital at 3am looking like a bloody one eyed pirate! ARGGGHHH!!!
Nice tasteful add ons. I'm also very picky about hiding wires, making things look like they should belong where they go, factory style stuff. Its easy to go overboard and gaudy.
I'm only just now catching up on your channel after seeing your bumper build series. I'm sad to see that you traded in the old Ram. This video proves I'm not the only one that loads my truck for all eventualities. After an incident in the Spanish Fork Canyon during the last snow storm, you've got me thinking I need to add amber strobes to my truck. Dude fell asleep at the wheel and rolled his car onto it's side in the ditch right in front of me. I say fell asleep, b/c snow storm notwithstanding, it wasn't slick on the road. He turned out to be okay, just shaken up. I do have additional lighting on my trucks' tails, b/c I go through canyons often enough in inclement weather; but amber strobes would have made that stop a bit more safe.
Glad you got my plate Brian. That 'T' is actually a 'temp' sticker. Truck wouldn't pass emissions so I could only get whats known as a 10 day temporary trip permit to get me by until I could get sh*t figured out. I have a similar animal/siren/PA but a little different. Didn't hook it to anything yet but I like your add an amp idea. Take care my friend and keep up the great vids, you have grown so much since I first found you. You've worked hard and put out quality informative stuff, I'm glad to of been along for the ride! Howling at the coyotes... LoL How much air time can you can outa that thing?
ALWAYS great to see your familiar face in the comments Mike! I get about an hour and a half rubber up flight time averaging about 28 miles an hour. That's about 35mph with the wind and 20 or so flying back into it. So that gives you some range #'s to play with too. I like to land with about 1/2 a gallon of my 2.5 gallons I took off with.
+briansmobile1 You will also notice, the black lettering is for a truck, Blue lettering here is cars and vans etc. And our date sticker is on the front for trucks and rear for the blue plates. About $120/yr for blue personal, my 3/4 ton farm truck is $142 and up depending on gvwr weight which will include tow weight in there. Regular 3/4 ton at 8000lbs is $185/ yr and a 1 ton at full tow capacity is about $430/yr.
Must be pretty exhilarating flying around, feet dangling, chasing the wildlife around. Too bad about the noise half a foot behind you, but I'm sure your brain kinda blocks it out a bit and you hardly notice it after a while. Oh ya, you were pretty close with the smiley face, it's safety pins forcing me to smile. LoL
Maryland Plates are interesting. I live here and I'm pretty sure that the stacked letters are just the design. Theones before them are just a white background with a tiny shield of our flag in the center and the letters on either side. CC just happens to be what it is in this case. All organizational plates have the Stacked letters first and are the white background as well with the seal of whatever organization it is.. Commercials I believe are green outlines. but they may have changed.
The CC is just part of the plate numbering system, there is nothing special about that MD plate. If i were an organizational plate it would say that on the plate.
the Maryland plate with cc does not mean commercial. it just happens to be cc. commercial vehicles in me have the older white plate with the word commercial at the bottom
hey Brian. Bonus footage rocks again. I wonder if you are able to take a picture how you have your airbags mounted on your RAM. I have ford F350 and I have 2 options. First one is between spring and frame and second is between axle and frame. How you like airbags anyway? Keep up good work.
Hey Brian, I'm from Ontario and the T sticker means temporary, usually you get it if your sticker is expired and you still need to do emissions so you can get your new sticker since we have emissions laws here in (most) of the province. You can see the one in behind it a little, looks like someone didn't try to cover it properly. :P
I guess a little sticker is easier than busting out the old printer and roll of tape. :) You have to go to the provincial equivalent of a DMV to get the temporary anyway, but I believe you can also buy it online and have it mailed to you.
Ya we used to get a paper 10 temp license plate that stuck in the front window, used to be unlimited until people kept driving around all year on them. Now you only get 3 per year.
+Sicktrickintuner Ahhh I don't remember that! But I haven't been driving too long and only had to worry about the sticker for the past maybe 5 years. I've only had to get the temporary one time because I don't drive my car through winter and didn't do emissions before the end of the year.
Hey Brian. You mentioned @5:10 that your towing was terrible after installing your leveling spacers, in the front. Could you explain your experience with that. The link in the description wasn't working for me. Thanks bud!
Hi Brian! Nice video! Do you need a pilot license for the paraglider? Also nice to see so many people sent you plates from all over North America. I see I'm not the only one who sent you plates from Quebec :)
Thanks again! And no- you don't need a pilots license in the US or in Canada I think to fly these. I have a buddy in Brazil who flies too. He works for their national government science foundation as a physicist/bureaucrat and says it's even less regulated there than it is here. Cimei, se você ver this- irmão Hey!
Ha! I had one of those little "PA" systems with the animal noises on my old car. I got stopped and cautioned by a cop for making my car meow at a jeep full of obnoxiously loud women. :D
Improper use of horn ticket.... It's literally patented, and marketed as a horn. You COULD do some foolish and illegal things with it, but you could do those things without too.
briansmobile1 Haha, all the more reason to use a CB radio, then! That's not a horn! ;D I think the cop understood that I wasn't causing trouble; I was just being a goof. Most of the cops around my area are really nice about stuff like that. :)
I'm surprised you havent changed out the factory shocks with the lift, I have put a 7000 Rancho shocks. They are way better then the crappy factory ones that were making noise in mine at 70,000kms. The 7000's are much nicer and better for heavier hauling and towing. And all those add ons, like the trailer brake etc, was it a factory install, or did you buy the dash and trailer brake after the fact and install them months later.
Thanks for the tip on the shocks. I bought them all as kits. The camera kit came from a dealer that discounted it for ebay. The trailer brake I bought at the dealership with the computer and all. I had to have it immediately. I made this video about the install. → ruclips.net/video/9QwNAbd_R0Y/видео.html
Does your Ram have air conditioned seats? I'm thinking about getting one but not sure if the AC seats are only in the Laramine edition. Thanks for the input, your making me want another Ram.
Yes. Unless you're in a child car seat or short like my passengers are. I haven't had an adult back there in..... have I? It's usually just gear or one of my vertically challenged daughters.
If I used the CB, that would seem great. We use a Ham radio trunk system. When I'm using my truck I communicate with either strangers with no radio (PA), or dispatch / car to car with the same thing I've got. Otherwise we just use the cell on bluetooth.
Good eye! They are. Again, the lights were great, but I hacked them up for HID and the HID and the trucks electronics did NOT get along in any reliable fashion.
Hey, Brian- are you some kind of First Responder / Highway Safety-Traffic Official? Safety vest, lights, gear, etc. I though you were a mechanic or engineer? What do you do for a living, besides DIY garage mechanic stuff?
I studied Engineering in college and switched halfway through and graduated in Business Management debt free. I've been a professional mechanic most of my life, but I've always done some type of volunteer work/community service. I was invited to interview to do volunteer work and now I'm currently on the board for a volunteer program for the local sheriff's dept. I have also been doing work for the NTSB on a case basis. My "job" now is basically doing RUclips and RUclips related work. I'm not rich, but I make it count with what I have by employing what I teach here on RUclips. I post that type of obscure more personal stuff on Beme for more close trusted fans. If you're interested there's a link in the description.
Hey Brian, I know this is an older video, but how hard was the install of the trailer brake controller? I just picked up a 2017 Tradesman and would love to add one to mine
You have a video where you climb under and pick up the cap of your old pickup and walk it off towards your old place's chicken coop if I'm not mistaken.
That comment on people driving slower than the speed limit (especially where there's no means of overtaking them) is something that just plain irritating.... I wrote a text to my brother-in-law where I stated that those who consequently drove 20 km/t below the speed limit should have their license and plates revoked and their picture put on a wall of everlasting shame.... Funny enough he agreed.... 😉
In Alberta I've seen folks do that, but then they start driving off on the right shoulder so you CAN pass. I love it! They get to crawl along 20km/h-30km/h on the long two lane and you still get to pass them safely. Everybody wins just because they check their mirror, signal, and drift right like they're pulling over. Once overtaken they simply signal and pull back out. The first time I saw it I was confused and then when I saw what they were doing I freaked out at how simple it was and marveled at the courtesy.
+briansmobile1 It's kinda sad that it's not a common courtesy of all people on the road but I agree that those who do give way and let people pass is a blessing... Keep being awesome... 😉
Thanks for thinking of me! Post is slow getting out to me here in the sage brush. Duplicates are bound to happen. No big deal. Everything in life is a risk. Risk it. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Brian volunteers to help the police service with traffic duties and the like I believe. And on the road he is a good samaritain. Hense the hefty road assistance gear and fit up.
Don's right. It takes me a while to get to all the comments. He's helping, but I can appreciate your desire for a first person source. I do volunteer work for the county sheriff's dept. I do patrol two weekends a month, I do road closures, roadside assist, lockouts, etc. accidents, shootings, fires, avalanches, roadslides, etc. I also do some recovery work. I also do good Samaritan stuff when commuting the 40-50 miles to and from the county building to get my patrol vehicle. Seems there's either tons of action on the way in and none once I'm officially 10-8 or visa versa. Either way- helping people makes me happy and it's a fantastic way to build good karma.
You'all flatter me. : ) After gaining some unwanted weight lately and not fitting into some of my favorite clothes- I've had three salads in the last week that were AMAZING! They were filling, tasted great, and best of all I felt great hours after eating them. It's pretty cool what a little blue cheese and spritz of bacon can do for spinach leafs! Instead of feeling tired, I felt powerful and alert. I LOVE feeling powerful and alert! RAAAWWWRR!!!!!
That's a fair question. I get that a lot. My situation is pretty unique. It's a long story and maybe a good video idea for theskiviking channel. I don't have a "job" and I haven't for almost a decade. My last W2 was back in 2008 at the Mazda dealership when I was slowly finishing up college debt free. I'm self employed and get my income from 1099 contracts like Google Adsense and about five to ten others depending on the year. I also do volunteer work for various non-profits and government agencies to give back, but also for the experience, networking, influence, and access to see what happens under the hood of society. It's complicated, but most worthwhile things are. On the bright side it would be almost impossible for me to be fired and I get the days off that I want. The down side is home loans, health insurance and taxes are just as complicated as answering a simple question like "what is your day job?" ; D
December 23rd 2020 I took the Air Bag for a test ride when a 19 year old Girl turned left in Front of Me and I did not go anywhere near the windshield or the roof It worked as advertised
OH SNAP! That's clever. Mine sure makes people smile though. I suppose it's how you use it. Kids love it. It's great for stubborn animals on the street. They move. I didn't really showcase that as well as I could have now that I think about it.
You put usb charging ports in the ceiling hahahhahahha you should have got a Laramie loaded with all the stuff your are spending money on. This is a awful truck what the heck.
Umm, is air chasing wildlife considered harassment? But heck considering the high ambient temperature I'll give you a pass. Wouldn't passing your shadow over them get an extra boost of speed out of them - try it next time. What's that bit about tagging and marking that airplane meteorite part? Yes, I.m supposing even with the heat you want wearing of hiking boots with some high ankle support never know when the field mice will strike - remember "don't trod on me" the snake folk mean it.
On the wildlife- I only chase non protected (varmint) species and within reasonable limits. I do volunteer work for the Sheriff's dept. and the NTSB. For the boots, there's a lot of badger, rabbit, and snake/mice holes. They're nice for landings with the ankle support for surprises. More so if I ever have to ditch in an unimproved landing area like in the junipers or on a rocky slope. I figure it's a helmet for my feet and ankles.
Airbus??Unsubscribe. LOL Its still weird to hear of Airbus in the states. live way outside Seattle, the home of the great airplane manufacturer Boeing.Whiny bunch of workers always crying for more money and benefits. If I was to wear one of those t-shirts to a tavern in North Tacoma, around five in the evening......
Eurocopter North America is now Airbus Helicopters. Airbus bought them out a couple years ago. I'm a huge fan of the EC-130 series, the EC-145, and the AS350. The AS350 is a mainstay for most heli skiing operations and the only heli to put skids on the summit of Mt.Everest. They're not so bad. They're most all 3 blade (except for the EC-145 of course) so no mast bumping when you roll up over a hill and they're still low drag- high performance in the stability department when flying fun places like canyons.
I was worried about you. Didn't see a vid from you on Wednesday and your last one was posted last Saturday instead of Sunday. Wondered if you were sick or injured. Glad to see today's video

Had some speedtech lights in my old Ford Ranger loved those things

It looks like you ran power wires through the firewall on the passenger side. Did you use an existing hole/grommet?
Nice tasteful add ons. I'm also very picky about hiding wires, making things look like they should belong where they go, factory style stuff. Its easy to go overboard and gaudy.
Amen! I did that throughout high school.

I can’t believe all that doesn’t come standard on all trucks. I hope Dodge engineers are watching and learning
It's marketing or price tiering. They want you to pay the extra $10k for the Laramie at the next price tier up... tear up.... with debt.
I choose to get a solid steel spring spacer vs one that relies on the integrity of the welds.
For the floor mat you might wanna take a look at weather tech it's a company local to me and they make custom mats
What headlights did you buy? Did you film an install? I've got a 2016 2500 Cummins and like the lights you have
The T means truck plate. I am 6ft 4 and 300 lbs. I am another big fan lol from another Canuck.
Very cool Brian! Congrats on the new ride and best of luck with it! Keep that bfate footage coming.
Thanks!
Are you going to put a steering box stabilizer on your new truck as you did to your old Ram?
Hey Brian, I'm from Ontario and the T sticker means temporary, usually you get it if your sticker is expired and you still need to do emissions so you can get your new sticker since we have emissions laws here in (most) of the province. You can see the one in behind it a little, looks like someone didn't try to cover it properly. :P
Fascinating. Here you get a paper you print off the internet and tape it up in your back window.
Thanks bud!
If you could somehow autopilot your Paraglider- it would be cool to fly a camera drone around yourself, and do a few "catch and release" tricks.
A buddy of mine James Allred does that. He's got videos of that here on RUclips. He flies the same setup I do.
i enjoy watching your vids man in our line of work gotta have sense of humor and definitely admit when the man got skills you sir got the skills
Thanks Daniel!
you have one hell of a truck, Brian! Thumbs Up!

Can you share a link or info on where you purchased your reflective tape / stripe for the side?
I've been waiting on this video! It's always cool to see the add-ons that people put on their vehicles.
And could you show us how you installed the under hood light? Would love to do that.
Sure. No problem.
Does your Ram have air conditioned seats? I'm thinking about getting one but not sure if the AC seats are only in the Laramine edition. Thanks for the input, your making me want another Ram.
It doesn't.
Isn't removing the passenger head rests a injured risk if hit from behind ? Just seems to me it would be.
Yes. Unless you're in a child car seat or short like my passengers are. I haven't had an adult back there in..... have I? It's usually just gear or one of my vertically challenged daughters.
+briansmobile1 ok thanks Brian I just were you removed yours and just didn't want anyone getting injured, thanks for the quick reply
Hi Brian would you mind posting or sending me a link to the LED interior lights. Good video man
Also what is your profession that requires you to have amber emergency lights? I'm going into firefighting and plan to do the same.
I'm a volunteer deputy.
+briansmobile1 oh cool!
Would you not have put a CB radio with PA system option in it? That's what I have in my Land Rover it's great for winding people up lol
If I used the CB, that would seem great. We use a Ham radio trunk system. When I'm using my truck I communicate with either strangers with no radio (PA), or dispatch / car to car with the same thing I've got. Otherwise we just use the cell on bluetooth.
What do you have the emergency lights and pa for?
Thanks for the plug,--Jarrett
How do you wire up the camera for back up lines
The T denotes a temporary transport permit. They're good for like 14 days. Source? I live in Ontario :) @Briansmobile1
are those the Spyder headlights? and did they have the chrome backing inside the light? I want a pair for my 2012 but I only saw black.
Good eye! They are. Again, the lights were great, but I hacked them up for HID and the HID and the trucks electronics did NOT get along in any reliable fashion.
+briansmobile1 any chance you have a video on it? I'm afraid to buy them and have to bake them to get them apart.

I have the same truck is there any way you can do a video on how to add factory aux switches. it was a option on these trucks.
I have something like it on the brake controller install video. Some process- different switch panel.
Hey Brian,
I know this is an older video, but how hard was the install of the trailer brake controller? I just picked up a 2017 Tradesman and would love to add one to mine
It wasn't too bad. The bracket for the computer to it had one tough to get to bolt is all.
What kind of mileage do you get with the truck ?? thanks
15-17mpg
14-19
here in ontairo the red sticker is for personal use aand the t is a temp tag
What product is it that you mounted in your headliner for the USB ports etc with lights?
It's a 12V marine USB socket → amzn.to/2FsDda1
should have titled the video "most useless accessories"
Does he have a 2nd gen dodge truck playlist from wen he built that
hallo Brain can you please make a video on how to adjust my valve lash on my 2001 dodge 3500 5.9 12v diesel.
thank you I WILL appricieted
Have you thought about getting a big capper for it?
I have. I love and hate the idea.
+briansmobile1 I thought about running a capper all the time but I just settled for tool boxes that are in front of the wheel wells.
You have a video where you climb under and pick up the cap of your old pickup and walk it off towards your old place's chicken coop if I'm not mistaken.
That's right.
Nice job! love the tunes on your horn lol. wondering if you got a letter like i did from the manufacture for the water pump?
Hey do u have a link to the lights

Need new tires!! nice truck - I like when you take parts apart - cool !!
Thanks Donald! Lets do more of that!
what was that rubber bag looking thing hanging from underneath driver side behind the step
The air bag? It's for support so you can haul heavy trailers and loads without sagging or messing up the trucks stance or alignment.
No under driver door. I'll watch again and give u time spot

I was just about to send you am old florida plate I found in the shed. someone beat me too it !
Thanks for thinking of me! Post is slow getting out to me here in the sage brush. Duplicates are bound to happen. No big deal. Everything in life is a risk. Risk it. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Wise words to live by my friend
can u give me the link for the dashboard cover u have.
I"ve always wanted a way to tell people to move over out of the fast lane when their crawling along with a open lane next to them
You'd think I would use it for that, but I don't. I really like the privileges I have. I intend to keep them.
I was thinking of more of a sign I could change and they could read.
Hey briansmobile1. I have a turkey license plate from when I was a kid when our family was stationed in turkey. If I can mail it would you like it?
Are you kidding? I would LOVE that!
yeah its from when our family was stationed in turkey. its a u.s forces plate. ill try to send it when i can.
Looks like you hang out a Pep Boys a lot 😏
The T on the Ontario plate is a temporary sticker
I know this is a stupid question, but why do you need all of the emergency lights and a Mr. Microphone?
Brian volunteers to help the police service with traffic duties and the like I believe. And on the road he is a good samaritain. Hense the hefty road assistance gear and fit up.
+Don Challenger Pretty sure I asked him, but thanks anyway.
Thanks for helping out Don- and you're right.
I'm getting a truck soon what would be the best add-on for me to put on my truck?
Do you have a link for the dashcover?
????
Thanks FOR POSTING!!!!
That pa system.... If I ever found your truck, you'd find it ripped out, shattered with buckshot
cool video..
Nice mods
Thanks!
Anyword on that dash cover?
I found it on ebay- no recollection who the seller was.
Brian: I'm your "biggest" fan. I'm 6'8" 255.
Now I don't know about that, I'm 6'3" - 275 lbs.
That's it, I'm eating Burger King for the next month. I'm in it to win it!!!
+Jon Shay there you go, they have a 2 meals for 10.oo going.... LOL
+briansmobile1 great eating for these hot summer days too
I had a grass hopper that jumped on my windshield and I hit 75mph before he flew off lol
RIP Grasshopper..
+Dustin Dykman maybe he made it lol

13:11 huh im surprised you dont got the tow mirrors out for all those ghost trailers haha but no i hate every single cummins driver that does that
im from kansas. ill hook ya up
Sorry if you've said this before, but what is your day job?
Bless.....!
December 23rd 2020 I took the Air Bag for a test ride when a 19 year old Girl turned left in Front of Me and I did not go anywhere near the windshield or the roof
It worked as advertised
Wow! Glad you're okay.
Radio is crap and you cant upgrade it so you are screwed.
Cleburne
...and why do you need all this shit?
So I take it you are at a lot of accident scenes. Why?
Volunteer work and my commutes.
Cool.Nice install.Your truck lights up real nice!
I had an animal noise machine once, all you did was pull a string.
OH SNAP! That's clever. Mine sure makes people smile though. I suppose it's how you use it. Kids love it. It's great for stubborn animals on the street. They move. I didn't really showcase that as well as I could have now that I think about it.
I thought you might like that you seem to have a good sense of humor. here's to being a big kid at heart. Cheers.
To much crap going on there .
Ya I had to google it after your vid
the first one haha
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
Thanks? Good laughter?
Sry, I think I meant that on another one of your videos. You said, something funny
Thanks for the plug,--Jarrett
My pleasure. I need to take that strap in next time I'm on day shift or at the firehouse.
I was worried about you. Didn't see a vid from you on Wednesday and your last one was posted last Saturday instead of Sunday. Wondered if you were sick or injured. Glad to see today's video
