I've taken my used truck to so many shops to try and find the 65mph wobble. I can't wait to pay off all those credit bills so I can take it to cjc and get that fixed
This is fantastic. I moved back to Las Vegas and I’m 4 hours from your shop. I think I’ll make an appointment in the future and have guys install my 2’ level kit I purchased from you and also have you place my 35x12.50 r17 on my 2020 Ram Long Bed Dually. I’ll message you to find my best days off and for how long I’m advance I’d need for an appointment. This is Great! 🤙🏻
Great video. Should have showed it to the guys I paid to install my kit(should have done it myself) they installed the coils upside down but on the correct side. How bad is this for the coils/ truck? Should I drop the axel down or what?
Great video! Is there a chance you guys could do an install video of the carli leveling kit for the 2011-2016 f250. There are not alot of detailed videos online for that application.
Really appreciate these guides. Love the torque specs. Wish the sizes of tools needed on the nuts and bolts were listed… about to do the alignment adjustments. Torquing the track bar about killed me! 😂 … can’t wait to mess with these radius arms 🙄
Do you guys a video for the track bar install? I’ve got the track bar instructions that were sent but I learn better by watching. Anything that’s out there that has been recorded.
Quick question i just installed this on my 22 ram 2500 does the cjc logo on springs need to be facing out ? Because on the passenger side the logo stayed on the inside
@@CJCOffRoad y’all need better QC on the stamp/logo placement. I’ve installed several of these on Ram 2500/3500. The logo never faces out on the passenger side. However the driver side logo is always correctly placed. You can contact me if you want proof.
So when adjusting your casters, which side of the radius arm are you looking at? Inside or outside? I don’t understand why you say “2 notches back from the center” but don’t mention from what side. Also are you adjusting both driver and passenger side to the same notch??
My caster adjustment cams are already 2 notches back from the factory. They are in the same position shown in the video. Should I move them post-install of my level kit? Or leave them alone? Thank you.
@@CJCOffRoadThanks for the response! I just got everything installed today, appreciate you folks shipping so quickly. Very happy with the leveling kit.
Does this leveling kit work for the 6.4 hemi as well? I was on your site and you offer a full suspension lift for the hemi, I would love to just level the front but I see it says it's for the diesel truck. 😮💨
I did the thuren 1.5 level springs, track bar and fox 2.0 front and rear and thuren rear track bar and thuren rear spring spacers and longer sway bar links that i bought from ya'll for my 23 powerwagon. Do i still need to move caster two marks back since its only 1.5 inches? While talking to a customer service guy from thuren about rear trackbar instructions that he said must have been not updated because his pictures and mine were different, i ask should i get it aligned by thuren specs. Because i believe it was driving the same as before once i adjusted the drag link. He said didn't really need more caster at that height but make sure the toe was a close to zero i can get it. Does that sound about right for the power wagon In your opinion?
Can you fit 35's on a 9" wheel with just the level kit? You also recommend the drag link and steering stabilizer to go along with the kit for improved geometry and ride?
The offset and backspace of that wheel is what matters. shoot for a 0 offset to +18 offset wheel no wider than 9" and you can run a 35 no problem or a 37 with minor trimming.
Carli Ram radius arms add additional strength, tire clearance and use a spherical frame joint for better articulation and ride. That said they aren't a mandatory add on. Radius arm drops really aren't necessary with a 2.5" lift, but are a key factor to correct caster spec with 3" height systems.
Thuren radius arms are 'notched' so they don't rub on larger tires. I had 35's on stock 20's (stock height) that rubbed the oem radius arms. Thuren's have plenty of clearance and gave a tighter turning radius. Also, they are MUCH more robust than stock. I would have picked up Carli radius arms if I had not found a deal on the Thuren's. I think the spherical bushing in the Carli unit is superior to the factory ram bushing in the Thuren arms. The only downside is that the Carli's need to be serviced (greased) or they will make noise and prematurely wear.
They're an easy item to add right at the end before the caster adjustment. If you do one side at a time, you can install them with the truck on the ground and then use a ratchet strap to pul things into place.
Dont your want the caster lobes pushing more out? aka pushing the axle forward. aka postive caster. As you lift the truck the axle tucks back towards the driver giving you more negative caster? Looks like you are bringing it in. making it more negative,
@@CJCOffRoad 😂 my brother and I are tackling this on the only issue is the previous owner had a 6.5 zone lift on it and we now have to remove that first. Not looking forward to pulling the transfer case to remove the indexing ring.oh well
That part is going to be a bit of a hassle. Make sure you have the factory track bar bracket, factory pitman arm, and any other factory parts that got replaced/removed for that kit!
@@CJCOffRoad yes already have the pitman arm and new ubolts for the rear the track bar just seems to have a drop down bracket that will need to be removed. I spoke with zone and seems like it’s all bolt on and should be straight forward hopefully 🤞🏼 the radius arms also need to come out.

Any videos on installation for 2013 ram? Thanks
Great video!! I assume this is pretty close to the same install as with the Carli 3.25 Commuter?
Close, but with some extra steps with the radius arm drops and bump stop drops.
Hi. What are the socket/wrench sizes we'll be needing for this install? Great video BTW
If you don’t have them all already you probably shouldn’t be doing it lmao
Hello I was wondering if you guys did a video on the installation of the high mount steering stabilizer?

Jorge, my passenger side logo the same on my 22 Ram 2500.
The logo needs to be right side up on both springs and facing out on the driver and in on the passenger. 👍

Does caster need adjusting when the wheels are in the air or can they be in the ground? 🤷🏻♂️
Caster gets adjusted on the ground, one arm at a time.
So when adjusting your casters, which side of the radius arm are you looking at? Inside or outside? I don’t understand why you say “2 notches back from the center” but don’t mention from what side. Also are you adjusting both driver and passenger side to the same notch??
This is looking at the inside of the arm. Both cams need to match, and be two notches towards the rear of the truck from straight down.
My caster adjustment cams are already 2 notches back from the factory. They are in the same position shown in the video. Should I move them post-install of my level kit? Or leave them alone? Thank you.
Leave them be as that's the right spot!

Thanks
Correct! Two notches back towards the rear of the truck.

What size wrench for the top nut on the shocks?
Excellent video.
How do u torque spec lets say the top of shocks with the hard to reach position with thag special swivel wrench?
There's actually no torque spec on the shock tops. You just tighten until the rubber bushing compresses slightly.
Is the new trac bar bracket necessary for a 2" Thuren leveling kit?
Not necessary, but we do recommend it for proper axle position and to improve steering feel.
@@CJCOffRoad is there anything else you'd recommend?
This install is it the same for the Thorne set up
100% identical!
Well, well, my "new" truck just happens to be a 2014 🤔🤔🤔😏😂 And that dually is gorgeous...she also needs fatter tires now....
Agreed! Thankfully the owner is taking care of that.
If you get the leveling kit what advantage does the fabricated radius arms and arm drops ?

You want to rotate the cams forwards the rear of the truck to add caster.
@@CJCOffRoad okay. I was getting the older 4 link from ends mixed up. They are push forward for increase in caster. Thank you

Is there any need to disconnect the drive shaft prior to lowering to allow for more axle movement? (2022, 2500)
Nope! It's no problem to install the coils with that in place.
Anyone see passenger lean after the install? My passenger side wheel well is around .5" lower than than the rest.
That would happen if you have the incorrect caster. Your cams need to match on both sides.

Yes, it will clear full lock. I have this leveling kit installed with Nitto Ridge Grappler 35x12.50r20
