I purchased this one this week. The Home Depot price was $99. That was with a battery and charger.
When I went to checkout the price showed $130. Home Depot honored their internet price of $99.
I went to Harbor Freight and bought a nice hard case for it. What a deal !

I wanted to get HP Batteries for my 1/2 ryobi impact and got this for free. Love it for doing top side stuff. Made taking the radiator out of my aunts car super easy

Don't get confused with a 3/8 impact... It's not used for this... Same as you wouldn't take a 3/8 hand wrench to lug nuts. ... You use a half inch drive. Or 1/2 inch impact wrench . The 3/8 is capable but again it's used for small auto or bolts thats not overly tight. The basics ... Ryobi is the leading tool with the most compatibility with multiple tools and same battery . Can't beat the deals . No other tool company has that. This battery goes from lawn tools to building to auto mechanic. Most combos give you 2 batteries ,charger and tools.

@@danielchavez392 it's the drive power behind it. 3/8 great for most things but when comes to suspension parts and things you really need power on use 1/2 inch just like on a hand tool wrench socket set . 1/4 3/8 1/2 . 3/4 . There's power behind it . Sometimes the 3/8 just don't have enough to loosen certain things . Where 1/2 takes it off with eze

I own the 1/2 inch and 3/8 impact's in the hp version ...the 1/2 inch hp impact withe the 4.0 ah battery is SOOO damn strong it's silly man..I bring it to the junkyard and pull off 30mm CV axle nuts that have been locked on cars for years..it just laughs at stuff like that...it's a beast.

I like the new look my father in-law just got this same impact wrench today along with new Ryobi cordless circular saw to replace his old Craftsman 19.2 v Nicad he had since 2005

I switched from Dewalt to Ryobi. Best choice I made I don't use power tools everyday just for weekend projects. I just bought P238, P261 P421 and P214.I also have 4 4ah batteries and two chargers. I'm good to go.

$119 for a Ryobi Brushless Compact 3/8's Impact Wrench? NO THANK YOU!!!! I'm just gonna wait for a couple of Months for the New Ryobi Brushless Compact 1/2 inch Impact Wrench. Or maybe go for a Makita Brushless 1/2 inch High Torque Impact Wrench

I personally agree with you on the price is ridiculous the snow can go with your hands people I've seen a video where someone took the impact driver in this line from Ryobi and switched out headpiece with this impact wrench basically give impact driver the speed selector and it actually worked I thought it was pretty cool I'm sure it probably work with it ridgid version too

I actually wouldn't use a 3/8 ratchet, Impact wrench or anything on anything above 18mm or more. I probably wouldn't use it on a 17mm.

When installing a Heavy Carpentry Lag Bolts there are two ways that I can drive the fastener Quickly, Efficiently and Safely on my job site. Especially when I'm working on a Deck Projects. It's either I use SPAX Power Lags or GRK Fastener Construction Screw or Lag Screws/Bolts. Because these fasteners have a serrations on their threads that can ease up the Powertools and quickly. OR!!!! If I'm gonna use a common Lag Bolts let's say 1/2 inch or 9/16's I'm gonna have to Pre-Drill the Lumber first before installing the lag bolts or Fastener.

  • @matthuber8456

Remember that the HP tools need the HP batteries to get those performance numbers Ryobi states. I understand you were testing what you get in the box, which is fair. But adding a 4ah HP battery onto this thing will make a noticeable difference.

Some HP don’t even have the extra HP contacts on the tool to utilize the HP batteries.

they're legit the same motor, but one has a slightly heavier hammer in it.
in practice, they'll perform about the same.

@@theTealStory which makes sense. The 3/8 hammer has a more solid power transfer through the bit because of that, its heavier duty. And he was using the 1.5ah battery. The 4ah has a 15% more power and obviously lasts almost 3 times as long. It hammers much better with the bigger battery. Mine hasnt had an issue taking lugs off of any cars, suvs, and trucks with the big battery.

    • @theTealStory
      @theTealStory 3 года назад

@@cashen7384 the big battery does not have more power than the small battery; the bigger battery has more cells and can more effectively deliver the same power as the smaller one. the smaller one needs to work harder to deliver the same power.
basically, the extra cells are acting like a snatch block would with a rope.

@@theTealStory i PROMISE you it actually does have more power. It has a higher voltage ceiling than the 1.5ah battery which in turn equates to more power. Do some more research and do a test for yourself. I will bet you money it does because ive seen it with my own eyes
