NEW HOA TOWED MY CAR! Karen, I'm not an HOA Member! I Am the Owner of Land r/MaliciousCompliance
If I got called into HR and ordered to apologize to a thief I'd tell the guy hell no and ask him what he was smoking, cause he's either taking too much or not enough.
I worked at a major international airport for most of career as a regulatory officer. This isn’t about me, but one of the concessions. Those baggage carts and wheelchairs come from the same concession. During the 1990’s SuperShuttle was big and the airport tried to restrict them to keep competition fair, but they would try anything to their benefit. After parking my car prior to work I noticed a waylaid wheelchair on that parking level. One of the supervisors got the cart concession I happened to meet. I saw him and told him about the chair. He thanked me and then told me why it was where I spotted, partially secreted near the edge of that level. Super shuttle would station a person with binoculars and a radio to help spot where their vehicles would need to be. The spotter would get tired and round up a wheelchair to sit on during their shift. They recovered that wheelchair and kept an eye on spot afterwards.
If you wonder why they put those big hoops on the wheelchairs, it is because if theft. People actually think that they can take them home! Putting that hoop on helps to prevent that type of loss.
This supervisor had a personal experience with one theft. He had gone to a major college football game and spotted one of their wheelchairs in the crowd hoop and chair also stenciled. He knew it was stolen as his company didn’t have the concession at that stadium. This is a very wealthy and expensive private school. Just how they were able to get the wheelchair into their vehicle with the hoop still on is unclear. Some people think they are so privileged.
Looking from afar (UK) I just can't understand why the freedom-loving people of the USA allow HOAs to exist.
Well, we have the freedom to set up HOA's :-)
I think a lot of people's idea of freedom is "I get my way, and you don't!"
I live in a state with huge growth and migration. If incoming people don't live in a brand new HOA subdivision, they won't be able to find a home to buy. The truth of the matter is a vast majority of the Reddit stories are fake, and bad HOAs aren't that prevalent. I have 10 family members and friends in HOAs, and they've never had the first problem.
First is the usual thing of always imagining that they will be on the side of the people setting the rules not the ones following them. Second is racism. With an HOA you can control who gets to live near you.
I agree if you are not free in your own home then there is no freedom
I worked in a factory were we had a food thief, being a man of little patience I put some cookies near my open lunch box. Then went to wash my hands, when I returned one guy was on his knees blowing chunks. Everyone was calling him out for stealing cookies, and getting payback. I never heard a thing about it from supervision, but the trick did put a stop to food theft through out the plant. Ipecac is nasty, but effective
And Exlax has a delayed, but equally effective, effect.
When I was a kid, my mom and sister decided to throw a birthday party for a friend. They decided to make a chocolate Ex-Lax cake for this friend. When it was time to cut up the cake, I said I didn't want any. The friend asked me why I didn't want any cake, so being a good little kid I told the truth and told her why. Well, mom was mad, but I think perhaps I saved a friendship :-)
I heard a food thief story, where prescription laxatives specifically prescribed by their doctor were mixed in with his lunch, which was stolen as per usual by the food thief. when HR confronted the OP after the food thief complained that OP had tried to poison him, OP replied that how was he supposed to know that someone was going to steal his lunch with his prescription drugs in it? apparently the office had a very strict drug policy and knowing that the food thief had essentially stolen prescription drugs, he was obviously not reprimanded and the food thief was threatened never to do it again, as the whole company could’ve been in serious legal trouble.
Food thief. Simple answer when in the meeting with HR. Just take out phone and, in front of them, call rhe cops. When they start objecting and demanding you stop, tell the operator that you are being pressured/threatened because of the current call and could someone be despatched asap. That should bring the root cause, the actual criminal act, and the act of criminal conspiracy with intimidation and threats (ire. Roll over, appologise, or be fired) back into the spotlight
I had that happen to me once, HR was preparing to fire me for "poisoning" a co-worker. They did a full 540 degree turn when they heard the one thing they didn't want to hear "That wasn't food he stolen from me, but prescribed medication." It had to be taken with food, so I mixed my laxative with mayo (which it said I had to do since it was a powder).
Brilliant! I'm not sure how the "calling the police" would work out, but it would have been a wild ride! But claiming that it's medicated food is the perfect loophole!
The report would be made and, thanks to the stupidity of HR in calling it, the theft also documented. Not prosecuting the theft would likely raise questions
Petty theft has a sixty-four dollar word: Pilfering. A company can get in trouble for not taking reasonable steps to prevent pilfering from their employees by other employees. Once the company knows it's happening and they do nothing (or worse, try to get the employee who was stolen from into trouble), that puts them on the hook as accessories to theft, and/or accessories after the fact. It seems that most people don't realise that.
Exactly this. Unprotecting the 🚗 minal and threatening the victim they cross multiple lines into illegality themselves, and in some cases into criminality
Story 3: lacing food with laxatives or capsicum (active ingredient in chili peppers) may fix that food thief issue.
Nice thoughts but either one can land you in jail. Capsicum you can get away with if it's how you would season said
item.
you put enough "hot sauce" on your food to injure someone you're booby trapping with intent to harm.
Legal liability would be questionable, but you'd almost certainly get fired for it just for causing trouble and/or lost work.
Story #1: I bet she was just wanting to get free stuff for her "troubles", hence why the whole "What are you talking about? I don't see anything that says "Uber" or "Lyft", where is your Manager?"
Stealing Thin Mints should be classified as a war crime. But seriously any time HR tries to shield a thief like that, I immediately suspect collusion or conflict of interest. it's usually the case that the HR person and the thief are friends/relatives/sleeping together. Escalate, and document.
I heard about a guy who got tired of his food being taken and set a trap to catch and punish the thief in one shot. It involved a chocolate laxative and a candy bar mold. He waited for the evidence to reveal itself in an extreme case of diarrhea. The result was a severely messed up bathroom and seriously soiled clothing.
Replacing the cookies with nasty fakes is the real war crime.
Food Thief Story: Everyone should have made Complaints to HR about her...one after another until HR can't just brush it under the rug easily...and everyone should have ended their Complaint with "And if you don't stop her, I'll call the Police and have her Charged with Theft and YOU Charged with Accessory To Theft!"
As i am a nice friendly person with the food thief story after the third time I would report her to the police. I am sure that would stop her problem especially if a criminal record would be a bar to her keeping her job.
It's considered petty theft so no criminal charge most likely however, having the police on property might do more damage to the company than letting the thief get away with it.
How about a small box of bite size chocolate nuggets with just one piece tainted with super hot chili?
I bet you'll get reported to HR. Since it's the only one tainted that the food thief has taken... you are safe to eat the rest of the chocolates to prove you didn't do it.
Since the food thief got you reported, you now know who the culprit is then turn the tables and report about food stealing.😂😂😂😂
No police should be called
On the third story, I HATE thieves, in that meeting, I would say ok bosses, so if I see you starting to eat a steak I can walk up to who ever one you boses have it, I can take it and eat it. THANK YOU boses.
Good morning everyone and RedWheel 😊
Hope everyone has a good day 😊
We had at work - probably someone on night shift, never did figure out who. Girl who kept the good laced it with laxatives. No more food was stolen.😂
I'll have to remember that if i ever have to steal - I mean, "strategically transfer equipment to alternate location" - from a HOA board member.
"Oh, it's not STOLEN, it was RELOCATED!"
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
last story. there is something weird in US law. there is a way to buy a street. not a house on the street, but the street itself. maybe the HOA used that.
Hello RedWheel hope you are well. Thanks for sharing. Please stay safe.🏴😁😷👍. Have a great day and a wonderful week ahead everyone
My mother had a mortgage with bank of America that I paid off in full, receipts , mortgage 'paid in full',, etc. The next year she got a letter reminding her that she needed to provide proof of flood insurance. She disregarded it be cause the bank had no interest in her home. Then she got a bill from boa for flood insurance that they had purchased for her. I went with my mother to the bank to see about this. They said she had a letter of credit open and they had to protect their interests. She owed nothing on the letter of credit. We told them to close the letter of credit and cancel the flood insurance. We received paperwork showing that this had been done. The next year they did the same thing. This time I went to the bank with smoke coming out of my ears. This time they took care of it properly but it was too late. We closed my account, my uncle's account, my mother's account and 2 cds. Never will bank with them again..
Late wife and I purchased our home in December of 97 and the mortgage had a balloon payment deal on it so at about 6 or 7 months later we refinance to a normal fixed rate mortgage.
Do the closing and everything goes off without a hitch but 5 or 6 months after the closing a letter from the previous mortgage company arrives claiming there was a mistake made during closing and lo and behold we still owed previous mortgage company 800/900 bucks. Knowing that closing means closing and all debt to previous company is now null and void i drop said letter in the circular file cabinet with I guess it sucks to be you and maybe you should caught that " mistake " before closing then.
Best guess it was a scam knowing everyone would refinance out of their balloon payment mortgages and inexperienced first time homeowners would see a letter claiming they owed almost a thousand bucks "overlooked" during closing freakout and pay.
Pretty sure that assumption is correct as in the 25ish years since I dumped that request for payment in the trash we never received another notice for payment, never went to collections or showed up as a ding on a credit report.
I suspect that you are right that it was a scam. That circular file sure does come in handy sometimes :-)
@mkvv5687 yeah there's a lot of scumbags that pull those scams. Most times I just toss them but one I want to literally throttle the scammers. Shortly after my wife passed I got letters claiming a secret credit card account of course we were open on financial matters and a year later got a similar claim of debt on my father that I knew was bogus because the scammers assumed me being oldest of three siblings I'd be handing dad's estate but my brother was si anything coming to me got tossed.
that bank must be Capital One.
Or Chase. ✌️
Or Wells Fargo.
If I happen to have a food thief I buy a thing called a "food safe". ( It's a plastic white wired box that looks like the size of a 12 pack of pop that has a little padlock on it.) and let Karen see how far she is able to try and break into that.
And with it being a wire cage the thief can see your treats and can't have any. It's just too bad that you can't have a motion sensor on it with Nelson's voice from the Simpsons saying HA HA.
OP "Pay attention Karen."
Karen "YOU EXPECT ME TO PAY???"
lol
Me: Ma'am are you cheap?
Karen: no why?
Me: cuz apparently you can't pay attention.
Morning, RedWheel.
Airport story: Well, I've used this line before for Karens that mistake customers for employees, but not for something like not being able to see/read multiple signs telling you where to go. We need to carry business cards for local optometry shops because these Karens just can't see clearly.
Loan story: Absolutely LOVED the line about spending $50 to get access to $10,000 that wasn't backed by ANYTHING! Bet that was a wake-up call!
Food thief story: I would be tempted to treat the food, not with anything harmful, just something to dye her mouth and teeth some disgusting color to prove she stole the food and to get her ridiculed. But no, she does NOT FOLLOW X diet if she is constantly eating other peoples food and snacks.
HOA story: Yeah, if that was originally a PUBLIC road, unless the city/county either gave it or sold it to the HOA, it's still a public road. Who maintains the road, the city/county and if so with what funds/taxes or the HOA via dues? Yeah, the HOA overstepped.
Carry children's reading primers and offer one to her since she clearly must be illiterate.
Banking story: I'm pretty much certain that attempting to charge someone for an account which they've already closed by submitting the required paperwork falls under the general heading of "fraud" and would be a criminal/felony matter.
Also maybe get some of those motion sensored alarms and put them in stuff so when it gets moved it goes off in the Karen can't shut it off. Go to HR and make sure you get it okay first to prove that it was theft.
2dt story: “There are none so blind as those who will not see.”
This is so true that there's even a word for the condition: Purblind. It means pretty much what you said. It's when someone refuses to look at or believe any evidence which contradicts what they wish to believe.
I would have had laxative creme oreos.
In reference to the first story. Yes noise can actually affect eye sight and no I don't think it was for her.
If someone suffers from complex migraines it's possible for eye sight to be effected by the migraines. I've actually had mine completely go a couple of times because of the migraines.
I send the bank a certified letter with all the documents ensuring that they can't freaking say no they didn't get it.
I'd threaten to have them charged with attempted fraud since all documentation to close the account had clearly been submitted, and the bank had been notified, but still wanted to keep on charging fees for the account.
6:44 this is why whenever you call customer service, when they tell you that they are recording the call, you tell them that you are also recording it. If the person you're dealing with thinks that you will have the ability to play back their entire interaction with you to their boss, they're going to do what they're supposed to.
First story... I feel sorry for that rideshare driver.
You can sell a home that has a Lien on it, but you must clear (Pay off) the Lien before the Sale can be completed...
Good morning 🙂
Good morning, RW, from London Ontario Canada
Thin MInts stolen: Father had a food thief too. He purchased 6 large bars of Exlax Chocolate and had Mother bake brownies; 2 large pans of them ! Taking them to work he left them in his lunch pail. Comes lunch; both batches are gone. The Boss had been warned by Dad. That man was fired as he sat out his remaining 4 hrs of the shift on the toilet and could not get up even then to leave.
If she’s eating your Girl Scout cookies she’s not following any specific diet.
If I had to deal with a food thief that was such a slimy worm as to call hr for me telling them of the consequences of stealing again, I'd be making some really nice looking treats containing Carolina Reaper powder.
WHEEL OF FISH! - ( wheel spinning noises ) ... Ah Red Snapper, very tasty.
UHF! Love that movie! 😂
On the second story, lolllllll, great job op, banks sometimes can be a PAIN.
The fact that that the bank was trying to scam OP was evident since they kept asking for lots and lots of money....good thing OP caught them in a lie and forced their hand.
🔥
With the woman who steals food, I got the song Junk Food Junkie going through my head. Gotta love Dr Demento.
Co-Worker steals your food and drink? Dose it with Senna pods. Google Senna pods if you don't understand.
Think Chilli Beans without the Beans... or anything else. Just a bowl of Chillies. Good Luck tomorrow.
On the first story, lolllllllll, how is it that ALL karen's and ken's lose ALL their brain cells.
Who said that they had brains?
I would report the bank to your state banking person. If it's the big bank that was found guilty of fraudulent loans you might want to report it to your congressman. The food thief. Call the cops when you catch her and have her charged with petty theft. Let HR deal with police on the property and the publicity from that. The cops were wrong. I'd go down to the station and file a stolen vehicle report. If the police won't let you file the report then use a lawyer. How can the HOA own the road? Was it ever in the public domain-did the town or city do maintenance on it before the HOA was formed? Otherwise you are screwed. When they have to repave the road, you and your neighbors will be in the hook for part of the replacement. If I were you I'd be talking to a real estate lawyer in conjunction with a lawsuit lawyer. Also, they might have no rights to mark anything on your end of the road/street.
Spongebob: Patrick where are you it's to dark to see!
Patrick: what? I can't hear you it's to dark to hear!
If I got called into HR and ordered to apologise to the food thief I would say I will with the police present to arrest said person for theft. If they refused I would call the police myself and ask them to also arrest the HR person for aiding and abetting a thief - itself a criminal action. Interesting to see their faces then as you would have a number of witnesses willing to back up OP after the police arrived!
You can sell a house with a lien but the seller has to pay the person who has the lien from the proceeds of the sale. Most banks don't want the hassle and will not finance a home sale with a lien. And most sellers don't want to lose money on the sale. Plus there is no guarantee that the sale will cover the debt leaving the person on the hook for the balance.
Lien, not lean
I don't believe putting rat poison in your own cookies would be a crime as long as you don't offer them to anyone.
Bank story: Bank had to be Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Chase,…where they’re so big they don’t care if they screw someone over or actually lose sight of the fact the loan’s been closed. That’s why I bank w/a smaller, local bank.
caring with A C
Get that food thief grasshopper thin mint cookies!😉🤭
She took your thin mints! Oh hell no!
Grand theft Auto and extortion
Airport story- Self entitled Karens and Kevins will see only what they want to see!
Is there any place where I can see your picture? I've been listening to you forever, and I'd just like to put a face to the voice....I LOVE your page
I saw a picture of him once on a military channel that he narrates. He was in an army uniform, so he is a vet. Late 20s maybe.
Put habanero sauce in the food. The woman won't steal again
I had a similar story as the first one. It was with a free shuttle pickup. When I said where the location for pickup is, one of the two girls said "no no, I know it's here". I just replied "fine, stay here, I don't care even if you wait all day" and got back to work.
No need to humor and acknowledge these idiots.
Don't want to get your food stolen, cover it in ghost pepper or hotter sauce.
Story 1: I'm afraid that OP may have forgotten that Karen's and entitled people all share the same flaw. They all either need a white cane or a seeing eye dog. Because it seems that they are all blind. None of them can see any signs that are right in their faces. Or they can't tell the difference between customers and employees.
In 100 degree weather why wouldn’t everyone want to do a tour inside!
is the bank in story #2 WELLS FARGO???
Food thief, call the police (non-emergency) and report the theft, advise that the company is refusing to investigate
other option, diarrheic candy/foods, if confronted say you have constipation and it's your medicine
The it’s too noisy comment had me thinking about coming up on a turn and turning down the radio to see while driving
Too cheap to pay attention, sweet.
Vast majority of the Reddit stories are not fake🙄
First Story: Many years ago Albert Einstein made an observation verified daily! He said there is only one major difference between intelligence and stupidity! Intelligence has limitations!
You can't fix stupid.
1st story, IGNORANCE is the operative word in this story, dumb as a box of rocks comes to mind😅😊😂
Please tell me that I didn't see the word "grimace" spelled "grimis" in the first story.
Unfortunately, you did see that....I cringed when I saw it too.
Karen’s are extinct
11:01 someone needs to put ex-Lax in their food and let her steel that. Bet she’ll never steel food again.
Dam this thing, didn't get a notice again! Hope you have a great day! Great stories! Thanks for sharing! Got to go to town, catch your next set when I can. Can't get my emojis up!Finally.
FYI, on my feed, I don't see your emojis. I see "face-red-heart-shape::hand-pink-waving". It's been that way, for at least a few months, I think… I do remember seeing your emojis in the past.
💜🤗💜✌️
@@crimsonfirelily
That's interesting. I can see the emojis now.
STORY #1 when the karen said I don't see them there are no signs I myself would have said well if your blind ass would open your eyes and knew how to read you would NOT be having a problem/ STORY #3 I myself would have told the food thief touch my food or my desk again and we will have problems and if you report me to hr I will go out of my way to make your time here so miserable that you will have no choice but to resign and leave and I'm petty as f_ _k so it will happen/ LAST STORY I myself would not have worried about calling the police, the city or the county I would have been contacting a lawyer about this bullshit and suing the hoa
I would go into the bank wearing a face mask and a hoodie and pay the $50 and then proceed to ask for the 10 grand, as I had work to do on the house and that I would wait the 5 or 10 days they need to order the cash. I want it in cash so there's no paper trail other than a contract with my name but not my signature (I would make a scribble that looks nothing like my signature) and then would fain ignorance and tell them I have never asked for a loan and they got scammed as I no longer owned the house. The only proof they would have is their bank cameras showing some guy with a hoody and a face mask and a scribble that looks nothing like my signature. If they insist that it was me and that several bank employees saw me that day, I would then hit them with, what he said. "Are you telling me that this bank loans out equity loans on houses that people don't own ? I am sure the news agencies would love to hear about this and so would the government !"
On the banks' BS. Send the letter registered mail with signature required. When the bank tries to bill you again copy the signature NEVER give away the originals, and send it to them as proof that (a) the bill was paid and (b) the account was closed. The registered letter AND the required signature is your proof that it was all done and see them in court. Sue them for everything you can get out of them plus your legal fees.
I wonder since the cops say the trailer wasn't "stolen" just relocated if you stole (Relocated) a cop car would they take the same approach?
The Food Thief Story:
You should have put hair and a dose of laxatives in your food item/s, so that the thief will have a surprise in their mouth, and a surprise running to the toilet!!!!!
🧻🚽. 🏃♂️
😁😆😆😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
