Hi Guys,
I borrowed a watch off a newly revamped watch company, not quite a start-up, but they are called Ollech and Wajs and this is their P-101. It's a cool swiss made tool watch powered by the ETA 2824-2.

done, i've watch your first video on youtube up to this current video.
i don't need to hit the notification bell cause i always check your channel for new videos everyday. keep it up! love watching while drinking coffee.
jundyl calo thanks so much buddy. That’s awesome of you. 🙌🏻
@@BarkandJack You're welcome 👍
Its great you're covering watches at around this price . More please!
I think this price range is an interesting one. There will be more. 👍🏻
@@BarkandJack excellent!
Do a seiko sumo and tuna.
“Why am I such a prick?” 🤣
It’s okay buddy. We still love you.
Steve Dave haha. Cheers mate. 👍🏻
Back to your rambling best. These ramblings lift your watch channel above others.
Regards
Haha. Thanks a lot Sam. 👍🏻
"I can make that jump"
Narrator: *He could not*
At 8:59 you can even see a small bridge over the stream!
This video is Bark & Jack on steroids. The opening music never sounded so fitting 👍
Haha. Thanks mate. 👍🏻
As a car guys, I VERY much appreciate the inclusion of sports cars in your videos. Cars and watches go great together, thanks for the video! 😁
Worth it for that foot in the water... pissing myself, thanks for including that!
Haha. Glad the effort wasn’t wasted. 👍🏻
indeed. I think a lot of utubers would have censored/edited that out. But it was hilarious and very Adrian! Poor Timberland's
I’d love to see you review the Yema ‘Superman’ or any of their heritage inspired collection. Very tooly and with genuine history.
@Barkandjack Yes! Review the superman heritage please!
Picked a yema
up last month. 15 min after arriving it was back at the post office to start it's refund journey. 10 days for watch to come 20 days for refund. Avoid the whole watch felt crude brushing rough bezel lock thing poorly Finnished worst of all watch was a quartz when listed as an automatic. Unforgivable
@@timeintheuk I have my doubts about Yema also , I'm thinking there made in Hong Kong and assembled in France !
@@juniorjohnson5961 I picked up the maxi dial version in the black Friday sales I did a review on it
@@timeintheuk I'll CK. It out .
I absolutely loved this video Adrian, the cars, the scenery, the videograph - all of it is just awesome! Thank you for a fantastic review as well :)
Sir, your fairness in comparison and review are second to none. Winding a watch hasn't ever been described so well, and I agree with that.
Thanks a lot mate. 👍🏻
Forget the watch for a moment, the guy's passion for watches and things he loves to share just makes my day :)
I bought my brother his first automatic watch and made sure I included 2 of your straps with his present. I still comment to people on the amazing service that you provided, which included a hand written thank you note with my purchase. Love your videos they are such a breath of fresh air compared to other reviewers.
Bark and Jack is now an exploration channel. Exploring both watches and beautiful scenery. Love it.
Good to see O&W being covered. I bet you didn't know that the two main characters from the 70s UK show "The Professionals" both wore O&W
Wow I didn't know that and I've watched that series a hundred times. I'll now have to watch them all over again to see if I can spot the watches, another week of binge watching. They don't make them like that any more, it's so un-PC it's great🤭
@@jules07870 one of them wears the OW Caribbean. I think that's the name of the model...
Would love to see a review of the Christopher ward mlitary collection. I think they would take the fight to this piece at the same price. COSC too
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my P-101! I can't wait for them to resurrect other models and bring them into 2020. I think I can see myself with a C-1000 here soon!
You’re starting to look like a genuine old money Scottish lord, with that jacket and Land Rover! Great video again, Adrian.
Haha. I am getting into the country life up here. 👍🏻
@@BarkandJack what jacket are you wearing in this video Adrian?
Mr Sigma hey, you pay extra for the dung. Especially if it’s not artificial.
Great video!
I totally agree on it's a good looking watch, and I actually considered buying one until I saw the lug-to-lug measurements...
Aside from the watch and the cars, I really dig the beautiful shots of Scotlands nature
case is pretty thick and you cant deny the amazing clicky feel of a bezel, it's got such a beautiful satisfying feel
Thoroughly enjoyed the content and your views, thank you for putting it together for us.
Thanks so much for watching. And I’m glad you liked it. 👍🏻
The sound editing from exhaust to theme tune was 👌
Haha. Thanks Ben. 👍🏻
Someone's having fun on his channel... Great review, love the production and happy you're enjoying what you do! Cheers Adrian!
Great video!
Where's the drinking coffee bit?
great video! You know what, this is becoming my favorite Watch Channel on RUclips.
Please do a review of a Longines watch someday, I love this brand.
best regards!
Adrian literally gets his feet wet trying a new style of video! Loved it. Looking forward to seeing the Scottish countryside in the summer. How many vids can you do in a week?
Bark and Jack is the only good brand with "and" in its name
Ollech and Wajs considered
Theo and Harris considered
Haha. Thanks mate. 👍🏻
Lange?
I'm glad you covered this watch, I was kinda eyeing it since I think it's got a nice tool watch look so it's nice to have a good overall review of it. The jump was epic even though you didn't make it. Or because of it I should say!
Check out the Sinn 556 or 104 range. Great tool watches for the price! On the bracelet if you can. Also Sinn just released an option to have the 104 fully hand bead blasted case & bracelet which makes it a super tool watch!
that jump😂 gotta love that guy
Hahaha.
Hi Adrian, what great vid! The cars, the atmosphere, the watch, also the wet food and your comments. More of this. Best filmed watch review this year.
Wow. Thanks so much mate. Really glad you liked it. 👍🏻
Curious as to your thoughts on the Baltic Auqascaphe.
That BMW V8! sublime sound.
Really enjoy your outdoor reviews, Adrian. Much better than the average run of the mill studio reviews you see all over RUclips. Very TTWC of you!
Excellent, Adrian This is exactly why I like this channel. Any other Prick would have left that out. I love that you left it in. Because that's what we all would have done because we'd have been worried about the camera. LOL as for brands I'm a huge Fortis fan. I think they have excellent bang for buck and don't get mentioned near enough. It'd be cool to hear your take on it.
Cheers!!!
I like the Ollech Wajs P-104, with that orange markers and hands, but I prefeer the 12 hour bezel rather than the slide rule.
Now that's a lovely looking Chinese watch. Thanks for the review.
Maybe one for a q&a episode?
Adrian, you used to (and maybe still do) work in an arm of H.R, plus had that time in London when you felt you were being targeted for your watch...so my question, do you make conscious decisions of when to, and when not to wear a certain watch based on the perception or reaction others may have towards you- from positive to negative? e.g. wearing a £10k watch in a HR meeting
awesome barbour jacket!!
Great Timberland and Barbour product placement!
I didn’t get my Tudor Pelagius like I thought I would. I am now leaning heavily towards the OW C-1000.
Cool lume on the minute hand is special! 4:00
like it. Looks quite like a Glycine Airman watch though. Including the long lugs.
O&W caught my attention recently because of their Navitimer version and the “Computing” watch...
A pity the lug to lug is 50. 48 would be perfect. Lovely watch. I love good looking tool watches. Great video
I would love to see a review of the Christopher Ward C65 GMT - beautiful watch but i hesitate to buy it without being able to try it on
@Ron the shrink Why Ron, i have other CWard's and they are really high quality?
Very very cool watches. Just purchased a BB red bezel but the OW S-1000 on steel is my next watch. Beautiful steel bracelet. For the money? Super value.
Getting better and better Adrian. Would be good to see your thoughts on Yema
Get a Monta in! Pricey, but I think the finishing is superior to Tudor.
I measured my wrists to see why almost every one of the current style "Slab O'Watch" trend looks like a cinder block hanging off my wrist, and it's because I too have anemic, tiny, Bambi noodle wrists at 6.5 inches as well. It's made your channel infinitely more relatable and interesting.
I really like how you do these reviews. Thanks Adrian.
I would suggest a Damasko chrono for a value proposition in the 'tool watch' sector. I bet they'd love to borrow you a piece.
Appreciate you leaving in the river jump lol, nice video man
Haha.
We saw the wet foot coming. Should of used the rocks to step off. You gave the boot manufacturer a nice logo shot, so I’m sure a new pair should arrive soon. Like the mix of cars, outdoorsy and the watch review on par, keep this content coming. I do like the look of that strap, brown leather, worn with the stitching. I can’t feel the quality. Interesting how it wears after time, maybe soften up. You get what you pay for. Good price to get a tool watch collection going.
Why do you put SFr and not CHF? I thought CHF is more universally known.
Those flowing stream shots 😍
Have a look at a German brand called Archimede. They're one of a few brands owned by Ickler, a German case maker since 1924. I have their dive watch called Sporttaucher (meaning Sport diver) - quite an original design given the plethora of sub homages out there. It's a bit 50 fathoms with 12, 3, 6 and 9 markers, but a nice alignment of date window and crown at 4 o'clock
Adrian, have you ever heard of ZRC Grands Fonds 300? A very toolish watch, reissue of a 1960s French Navy dive watch. Interesting bracelet, very interesting crown, and one-of-a-kind bezel.
The intro was fire! 🔥 🔥 🔥
You, Sir, have excellent taste in cars as well as watches...my compliments.
20 year old Adrian, I can jump a meter...
40 year old Adrian, I can jump a meter, splash...
Sorry if I got your age wrong, love the videos.
Forty? FORTY? I have a bit of time yet until forty. Although I do look it. I blame the kids!
@@BarkandJack Haha, sorry man, I figured I was off a bit. I have 3 little rats, I feel your pain.
Very nice looking watch, a classy vibe but no clicks!!! and also another great back drop for the video. Your actually getting good at this.
Dude, you looked cold and uncomfortable before you jumped and soaked yourself!!😂
I was sure others would have mentioned Vostok, regarding the clickless bezel. No further engineering required, and you do get used to it just fine. In fact, smooth-bidirectional becomes a change of pace attribute.
Love the new nature setting format! Keep it up
Thanks a lot mate. 👍🏻
The photography is top notch. I thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic view. The watch is very unique looking and I give them credit for that. Had it been a bit more refined, it would be a great contender for Oris, Yema or Doxa.
Thanks a lot Paul.
O & W were the watch of choice for a lot of GI’s in Vietnam.
That’s really cool to know. Wish I’d known that for the video. 👍🏻
Best start to your videos. The enthusiasm for the cars was brilliant and the “I can jump a meter “ was comedy gold...! Love it. Oh yeah, the watch was nice too :-)
Great video, and on so many levels. New-to-me watch brand, stunning scenery, nice duds, and feats of strength... you had it all in this one. It was a real pleasure to watch. I’m feeling a pull to relocate and get closer to nature, those shots are hitting me in the right spot
I love this channel! Thanks for the hard work
Thanks so much for watching mate. 👍🏻
Videos are getting even better. You’re awesome
Haha. Thanks so much. This one was fun 👍🏻
@@BarkandJack I need to send you some coffee for all this hard work.
Check out the new Eza-1972 skindiver. Comes in 39.6 mm and 35.6mm. Its is comparable to the P-101 dimensions wise.
Lol love the jump
Idea for a video, if you can...
Everybody only speaks about ETA and in a smaller amount Sellita. As you know eta will be reducing its sales to non swatch group companies thus need to use other movements, but their are some other movements from Switzerland that nobody speaks about and that must be good, maybe you could do a little video about them, and the watch that they power... (technotime, vaucher, soprod, felsa and others)...
I agree with others that the C65 Trident GMT would be a great review. Loved this one.
Thanks for the review.....refreshing to see a review of a nice, but relatively unknown (at least to me) timepiece. Well done! 👍
Car reviews coming soon 😉 I think you should 👍🏼
excellent review!
this is one of your best reviews i have so far seen. Without a doubt.
Hope we will see more of these kind of reviews in the future.
Hello Adrian, I really enjoyed the video. I really liked that you didn't only praise the watch for everything and anything, but also said what you didn't like about it.
I feel the lug to lug is great of course I have a 8.25 wrist
that watch is kinda....beautiful
I think its great to start looking at lower price point / micro brands as I think there are a lot of great watches out there at a lot more affordable price, not taking some great high end brands as have an Overseas but equally get as much pleasure from brands I have including, Boldr, Nehtuns. Great Video.
It looks like competition for the Oris Divers 65.
Nice looking watch, a little rough around the edges maybe, but nice none the less. The worst part of the video was landing in the cold water, that had to send a jolt through you! Awesome video as always!
Am yet to see a bidirectional bezel with clicks. The friction bezel on this watch is perfect for its intended use. As for the "grittiness" of the crown, i have experienced that with watches I own and they very quickly lose that feel and become smooth as silk.
This watch for the money is hard to beat especially with a regulated Swiss movement from a company that is proud to proclaim 90% Swiss manufacture.
Agree with you about the finish on the hands. Under macro they are very coarsely done. But even still you could forgive them for that as this watch is essentially a workhorse tool watch not a show pony.
The oris Pilots Watch is also a Great Watch in this Price Range :)
Great review, thank you. Very genuine and honest.
Great intro, Great video, Great location. Thanks.
Forget the watch, where can I find that jacket?
In regards to the watch being named after the F101 jet, which was the first jet to reach 1000mph (as indicated), Ollech and Wajs was the first watch company to produce a 1000m water resistant watch. Must be related, no? Great review!
This video was definitely a big quality jump, keep it up!
Thanks so much mate.
I kind of like the deep furrows on the hands, as it sets it apart from what I see on a zillion other watches.
Yeah that’s a fair point.
The O&W watches are 90% Swiss made unlike many so called luxury efforts.
I am biased I like them especially the C1000S.
I was willing for you to fall in. Lmao
Great review with good critical feedback which I could imagine being very useful to this brand.
Love it but for my small wrist, the 50mm lug to lug kills it for me :(
I am a fan of the original O & W watches, I have a neat military model from 1992 and I had a yellow faced XXL which was a great watch, solid and well put together but at 43mm too big, they used to make some great divers watches and their military watches were very popular with American G I’s. This new one is too thick at 15 mm and lugs are too large, I agree the hands look unfinished and the bezel looks like cheap plastic.
Nice looking watch, a bit like an Oris. Did we get to see the case back?
Good vid Adrian. The stream jump was classic!!
,
Haha. I’m embarrassed I didn’t make it. The gap couldn’t have been wider than 1.5 meters!
Mate.........The fact that you left it in just underlines your ‘realness’ and part of why myself and many of your subscribers make time to view every time your vids drop.
The vid ticked many a box for me. Own a Porsche Cayman. Watch geek. Got a couple of Barbour jackets. Fan of Fujifilm cameras. What’s not to like?
Long may your channel continue.
Adrian, you just made me laugh out loud in public because you're athletic skills to jump a river are of the charts. Nice video, nice watch but not worth the money I reckon. Anyway cheers
Hahaha. It really was a pathetic jump.
How about the Orient Kamasu? Can be bought for under 300 probably, sapphire crystal, on house movement with hacking and hand-winding, relatively small dimensions that can fit smaller wrists, and can be regulated to within 5 seconds. In my opinion, the green version is the nicest, but the one with a red dial and black bezel is nice too.
Probably one of the weak points is the bracelet, which has folded endlinks. However, the strapcode bracelet for the Kamasu is out, but I'm not sure about the quality. What are your opinions on Strapcode bracelets?
