Powershot G15 Function button repair

The price to fix the camera was a flat rate of $189 (comes with a 6 month warranty)

A new G15 from Amazon is still going for $419, as of this writing (they don't carry it anymore at BHphoto)
A new G16 from BHphoto is A$449
I contacted a 3rd party repair place in Chicago. The cost is $92 which includes parts, labor, and ground shipping back. (comes with 90 day warranty on the repair)

I called Canon again.I asked to see if I can order the parts to fix the "function set" button myself. They sent me to the parts department reluctantly and said that the part I needed is called the Control Dial Assembly. It's basically the "function set" button, dial and the guts behind those buttons.
I didn't see any G15 teardown videos on RUclips, so I thought I'd record this quick video. It didn't take too long to repair. I'm hoping this will help someone.
