Aronia berries, as I understand it, is the berry found highest in anthocyanins. It is basically a nearly black berry, grows in clusters, and its fall foliage is beautiful.
No on ever talks about mulberries which stain your hand black when you pick them. Most people don't even pick them. I have plenty in my yard and freeze them for winter.
I had to educate those who wondered what they were. Just about my favorite, after low blueberries.

The problem I see in blueberries is their excessive sugar content. And we also need to avoid sugar. There are wild blackberries here and they are good but only a certain time of year. Very good information, Thank You! Blessings!
Really? Almost every other fruit has more sugar. Keep cool. 😂
100 grams of blueberries has 15 grams of suger. This is way under the threshold of what your body can safely deal with without causing metaboloc issues. One way to lower it is to make your own blueberry yogurt and the sugers will ferment out.
Also the fibers in fruits offsets the sugar metabolism and stabilizes blood sugar. It’s different than eating sugar without fiber like in juices, or much worse, processed sugars in most “food” in grocery stores. (Instead of juice, always do smoothies with blended fruit since smoothies retain the fiber).
Organic wild blueberries ( I buy frozen) have waaay less sugar than the super charged fresh kind that are grown now.
