  • In this video you'll discover the nootropic benefits of Quercetin. Including why we use Quercetin as a nootropic, for COVID-19 recovery, recommended dosage, side effects and clinical research.
    Quercetin is one of the most abundant flavonoids present in over twenty plant and fruit categories.
    As a potent anti-inflammatory, Quercetin is used to lower blood pressure, control obesity, lower cholesterol, and protect against heart attacks and stroke.
    Studies show that Quercetin can inhibit Aβ aggregation, and tau phosphorylation. And inhibit acetylcholinesterase which in turn increases acetylcholine levels.
    As a nootropic, Quercetin improves memory by boosting mitochondrial function and decreasing reactive oxygen species (ROS) production. And protects against brain toxicity caused by heavy metals such as lead, mercury, and tungsten.
    Quercetin has also recently been found to be beneficial in reducing the symptoms of COVID-19. A study conducted in China found Quercetin bound with the spike protein in the coronavirus, reducing its ability to infect cells.
    Quercetin users report that if infected with COVID-19, using Quercetin with Vitamin C, Vitamin D, and zinc made breathing easier, and helped them recover faster.
    Many neurohackers using Quercetin report a dramatic improvement in seasonal allergy symptoms. And after coming down with a cold, Quercetin helped reduce cold symptoms faster.
    NOTE: if you are about to get any one of the COVID-19 vaccines you should discontinue using Quercetin two weeks prior to your first dose. And do NOT use Quercetin after you have been vaccinated because it could reduce the effectiveness of the vaccine.
    Quercetin also has the unique ability to increase claudin-4 which seals Tight Junctions and healing a leaky gut or leaky blood-brain barrier.
    Recommended dosage of Quercetin is 500 mg up to twice per day.
    Quercetin dosages of 1,000 mg, and on the advice of your doctor, up to 3,000 mg per day to reduce COVID-19 symptoms. Note that this is short-term use only at such elevated dosages.
    This in-depth Quercetin review covers:

Too bad i always get weird looks when i recommend nootropics, people always think I'm acting as if I'm a doctor while i honestly just try to help. Nootropic supplements are beginning to go mainstream. And not just for us biohackers anymore. I'll take a little of the credit for that. But CB, I've also found that sometimes we need to wait for people to ask for help. Esp. those close to us like family members whom we want to help above all else.

So much respect for that, and i mean that. Also thank you for the advice, it is indeed better to keep the initiative in the hands of other people. I can relate. Giving advice I've gotten from You Tube, or anywhere else on the internet, gets me the same reaction. They just ask me "do you believe everything you hear on the internet?" If I didn't give a shit about anyone but myself, I wouldn't share. I've all but given up on family and friends that won't believe anything unless a traditionally trained, pharmaceutical company influenced MD says it.

      take a heaped tea spoon of slippery elm bark powder in a glass of warm water 15mins before food ,it takes about ten days to heal the holes in the gut and that will end the auto immune conditions , ebay quercertin and bromelain 1500mg you also need zinc 50mg and a 1000mg caps vit c when you take quercertin,bromelain,zinc and vit c you are making sure the quercertin can do its job,its highly effective at stopping the coronavirus from entering the cell but it needs the other stuff to work properly, ivermectin is synthetic quercertin,i think the natural version will be best,if you know anyone with long covid the dose is 18mg ivm and 50mg zinc taken for 4 days ina row ,thats the cure, i think the preventative route is the best way,

      Dr. Corneliu Giurgea coined the term “nootropic” in 1972. It is derived from the Greek nous (“mind”) and trepein (to bend).
      Dr. Giurgea gave us a list of five criteria that a substance must have to be considered a ‘true’ nootropic.
      A true nootropic:
      - Enhances memory and the ability to learn
      - Assists brain function under disruptive conditions such as lack of oxygen and electroconvulsive shock
      - Protects the brain from chemical and physical toxins like anticholinergic drugs and barbiturates
      - Increases natural cognitive processes
      - Must be non-toxic to humans, nor stimulate or depress the brain

    Can you use quercetin every day? I thought I heard you say to only use it for 12 weeks at most?

    • @NootropicsExpert
      @NootropicsExpert  2 года назад +4

      Mark, it is safe to use 500 mg Quercetin twice per day for as long as you need it.
      The thing is most supplement studies are no longer than 12 weeks because no one want to pay for longer studies. So we have no clinical proof that you can only use something like Quercetin for a limited time. When someone says to not take something any longer than 12 weeks its because they're covering their own butt.
      In my opinion, if you find something that works then keep on using it until it doesn't. Get your labs done a couple of times per year to check kidney and liver health. And it there is no problem then you have your answer.

    Question. When you recommended using for no more than 12 weeks, is that for higher doses to fight an infection or virus?
    Can we use daily if kept under 1000 mg?
    Can we use if we take NAC daily?

    • @NootropicsExpert
      @NootropicsExpert  2 года назад +14

      Kristine the thing is we don't have any clinical studies showing using ANY supplement longer than 12 weeks is safe. Primarily because no one want to pay for a longer duration study.
      On the other hand there is no evidence that it is unsafe to use 1000 mg Quercetin daily for as long as you find it useful. And if you're worried about your liver take it with Milk Thistle extract.
      And it's 500 mg NAC 3-times per day and every day. I have for years and it's one of my favorite supplements.

      I would give it a couple of weeks between the vaccine and using Quercetin. But after that it should not be a problem.

    • @NootropicsExpert

      Annie, Quercetin inhibits aromatase so if you’re being treated for breast cancer - talk to your doctor before supplementing with Quercetin. It may not be a good idea for you to use Quercetin.

    What about quercetin dihydrate? Absorption?

    • @NootropicsExpert
      @NootropicsExpert  2 года назад +2

      Quercetin is a natural plant flavonoid. And quercetin dihydrate is a synthetic chemical compound.
      Our bodies prefer "natural" compounds that it doesn't need to try and convert into a form that it can use.

      Idebenone is a drug first developed by Takeda Pharmaceutical Company for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. So, Idebenone is a drug while Quercetin is a natural flavonoid from several different fruits and vegetables.
      Idebenone is claimed to have properties similar to CoQ10.

    IMO, The main attractive feature of Quercetin as a nootropic is how it's been shown to raise BDNF significantly and consistently in rodents.

    • @NootropicsExpert

      Giorgi, you can boost BDNF many ways including by using Quercetin. I think it's most beneficial benefit is its anti-viral capabilities.

    • @NootropicsExpert
      @NootropicsExpert  2 года назад +2

      500 mg twice per day. Unless you are treating COVID-19. If that's the case work with your doctor and use 3,000 mg per day until you're clear. But that is ONLY short-term at that dose.

    Is this good after you have a Pfizer shot

    • @NootropicsExpert
      @NootropicsExpert  2 года назад +1

      Great question. I would avoid using Quercetin for 2 - 4 weeks after getting the Pfizer shot. Because while I do not have any proof of this common sense tells me that Quercetin may reduce the effectiveness of the vaccine. But once the vaccine has done its job of creating antibodies it should be safe to start using Quercetin again.

    I'm taking Quercetin and I don't feel any different. If anything, I've put on a few pounds since I started taking it (but I've got other crap going on so I don't consider that). Quercetin, to me, is more hype than anything for really real. I've been taking it for more than 2-months.

    • @NootropicsExpert
      @NootropicsExpert  2 года назад +3

      Quercetin has its place. Like any supplement not everyone should be using it.

    I think Quercetin turned my semen green, its been very beneficial but gonna stop taking it to improve sperm health. Has anyone else had this problem? Will it go back to normal once ive discontinued using it long enough? Many report the same issue but there arent many resources for this sort of thing.

    • @NootropicsExpert
      @NootropicsExpert  7 месяцев назад +2

      studies show that high doses of Quercetin can have a negative effective on sperm quality and sperm count in males. But only when coupled with elevated oxidative stress. Other studies show it helps boost testosterone and sperm quality. But dosage is key and high dosages are not a good idea unless you are using it temporarily to get rid of COVID.
