Gail and Alex, I nominate that glorious piece of swirly glass for the windowsill of wonders, along with the lovely frosted glass piece. I think it would be such a shame to see the swirly glass melted down; it's beautiful as is. . .perhaps made into a sun catcher for a window? I'm curious as to what you might've found out about the history of the broken marmalade pot with the "silver pan" etc written on it? Hi Gail and Alex, your research is so appreciated…..makes your finds have history and value to them. 🌹Treasures I’m sure, thank you for taking the time, the finds this time are fantastic. Marmalade lid was amazing…I loved to have taken it…my last name is similar in sound…and I’ve been called “Marmalade” before…that would of been fun to keep! Beautiful black buttons, Alex 🤗
You are so kind in writing me back. You’ve made my day! I live so far away from the beautiful country your in! I don’t even think there is Mudlarking in California 🤔…but I’d be out there looking for treasures too! I paint and do craft but that’s about it…have an amazing rest of this week. 😄😉♥️🌹🌼
The ceramic reel at 13:39 is actually a spool type electrical insulator used for low voltage (usually lighting) circuits! I do love finding that shape and that looks like a particularly nice one! At 20:04 you possibly found another too, although it could be a rope pulley, due to the small diameter of the hole 🤔 Nice variety there. Probably from old 1910s lighting poles. I really love those red tiles! So many amazing finds including those cut glass goodies and that lovely glass thing that looks like an urn... I also have a soft spot for those lenses.
Yes, you're totally right. We seem to find lots of different types of electrical insulators on this foreshore. We're hoping to use our collected tiles someday, can't wait! xx
@@NorthernMudlarks I've been collecting insulators for about 15 years now and it seems bottle dumps are an untapped resource! Do either of your spools have any markings at all? I'm hoping to find nice bottles too, so I'm searching for possible dumps!

Hello 👋 ladies! From Baltimore md,USA. Didn't really look through comments to see if anyone else had identified, what it looks like to me anyway, but the pink, orange, and white glass that Alex found.... looks like a modern, hand-blown cannabis pipe stem. There all shapes and sizes. Pretty durable, but will break. An they've gotten to be a art on there own. If you ask me. Glass blowers have gotten very creative and get paid top dollar for there pieces. I mean it could be something else, but that was the 1st thing I saw. I gotta trust my gut. 😉 anyways, loved your adventures. Till the next one, be safe ladies!
You two found so many lovely treasures today, I think the cut glass ink well would look beautiful in the window or the huge mushroom shaped bottle stopper. Thanks for sharing with us.💕

You found some great stuff as usual. I think the Queen Sheba Gold bottle should be in the window of wonders. And, I think your mystery find is the handle of a baby's pacifier; the hole being there to allow air for suction. Thanks for taking us on your mudlarking adventure, I had fun. 😊
I was so excited when you found the Elastoplast tin, my mum kept her sewing needles in one of those for as long as i can remember. Although she is sadly gone now (covid), i still have the tin, just one look at those takes me right back to my childhood. Funny the things we attach memories to.
We live in a small southern california town, and I know where the dump was! School was here in 1888, and we found 2 bottles after the rain...we are going to dig!
Love the cut glass ink and the Sheba gold among so many other interesting finds. Just a wild guess but could the little white porcelain ring/object be part of a fancy baby pacifier? Keep trying to manifest more gold sovereigns Alex!

Hello Alex and Gale🥰 you have so many wonderful rivers, beaches and fields around you to go out and find treasures in, beautiful. I would also suggest that you try magnet fishing to find even more. Gale and Alex I love all the history you know and tell us❤️ Hugs from Hudiksvall at the east coast of northern Sweden 🇸🇪🥰🤗❤️
Wonderful little bottles and that glass ink is a beauty. Colorful assortment of beads, particularly liked the ‘boomerang’ shaped red bead. That river site just keeps giving, literally a gold mine. Sue and Ian, Australia
How cool. At first, I was like what the heck she doing with this junk. Then you told the history of each thing. Wow.The more I watched I realized just how Awesome this video is👍🙃☺
I was also wondering if the little bezel glass heart is the front of a locket, like a hair locket or memorial locket. I had one that was similar to that but oval rather than heart shaped. the hair was trapped between the glass and the gold back of the locket and held in by the bezel. Really fun lark again. Thank you so much
Hi, I have no idea what the circular porcelain thing could be! I would be nice to see the little violin playing mouse in the window with his repaired ear covered in gold leaf, he would look very happy and jaunty. Thoroughly enjoyed your video- a breath of fresh air. Have a good week xx
Nice video! Also I think if you had a fishing rod with a magnet you would probably find wonderful things under the river or lake, many people throw valuable objects either as a tribute or to attract luck, you could find for example Victorian jewelry very interesting stuff. I meant to mention when you found the gold sovereign dated just about the time my father was a young boy, born 1902. It was one Christmas when things were not so good for my grandfather who worked in London. He was catching the train home to Kent when he found a sovereign on the pavement. My Father always related to me that it bought a whole Christmas dinner with all the trimmings for his mother, father 3 brothers and 1 sister.
I believe the first white ceramic ring to be an electrical insulator. I find similar ones here in California that are for telephone or telegraph wires. The small ring with the hole could be a toothbrush holder, attached with a screw or nail near the bathroom sink. I've seen similar ones that sometimes have a matching design with the early soap dish, or other toiletries. Love the videos!, Darin in CA.

Wow! Such great treasures! I think the first aid and largest doll leg and bottle stopper should all be contenders for your window. 🥳. Some beautiful tiny bottles. Great day. 💙
cut glass ink, the amber Oxo bottle for the window. The ceramic spindle you found looks like an electric fence insulator a heavy wire loop was made thru the center hole and the hot wire runs in the groove. Hung so the flat sides are parallel to the ground often used in corners of pasture and paddock. Love you guys
I can imagine a nice sheep's head cameo! A whole string of beads today. I think that little loop might be the lid of a toy tea pot? Such and enjoyable trip. Thank you!

This riverbank has such great stuff in it, love the tiny sheba gold bottle and the textured penny perfume. My favorite is probably the mouse with the violin, I hope you can make him whole again, his little cheesy smile is everything!
O wow what treasures this time around. I think the little frosted jar should go in the window with the green lens as the light will bring out the colour and you could include the mouse playing the violin. all good finds this time. I can't pick a candidate for the Window of Wonders...but instead challenge Alex to make the most beautiful mushroom sculpture with that giant stopper! Pipes, crystal, wood and moss...it's going to be amazing! Thank you both for taking us with you on this adventure!
Oh yes! Good idea! It defiantly looks like a mushroom! xx
@@NorthernMudlarks it does! I can't wait to see what you come up with Alex! Maybe a little metal too, just to round it all out. You're going to make something amazing, I feel it!

Amazing finds 🦋be safe ladies!
What a treasure hunt. Great finds.
I think the Lalique? little vase would look lovely in the window.
Love your channel, have been watching it for years now. :)
Wow! Such great treasures! I think the first aid and largest doll leg and bottle stopper should all be contenders for your window. 🥳. Some beautiful tiny bottles. Great day. 💙
Ahhh the little mouse playing the violin should be in the window! So sweet.
cut glass ink, the amber Oxo bottle for the window. The ceramic spindle you found looks like an electric fence insulator a heavy wire loop was made thru the center hole and the hot wire runs in the groove. Hung so the flat sides are parallel to the ground often used in corners of pasture and paddock. Love you guys
Great treasures this week, the orange ceramic looks very like Shelley drip ware.
I love seeing everything cleaned up. The mouse should be in the Window of Wonders 😊
i want to see how they get everything so clean

I can imagine a nice sheep's head cameo! A whole string of beads today. I think that little loop might be the lid of a toy tea pot? Such and enjoyable trip. Thank you!

HI!! I LIKE THE MYSTERY ITEM, I THINK IT'S A LID TO A CREAM POT? ALSO I THINK THE BOTTLE OF GOLD SHOULD GO IN THE WINDOW OF WONDERS. GREAT DAY TO SEE YOU OUT AND ABOUT. SEEMS SO SPRING WAS IN THE AIR. THANKS FOR SHARING AND PLEASE STAY SAFE AND HEALTHY ❤️ 🙏
Internet kept going out tonight and I was thinking I ws going to miss you. Be careful and stay safe please.
Excellent finds, girls ! 😁
