Regarding the mystery object, years ago I had a small cupboard with a handle of a similar shape. The smaller hoop was attached to a metal plate on the door. So it hung down and you lifted it to pull.
The story about the bottle and the postcard is an amazing coincidence! It's really interesting when things like that happen and you realize the connection. Thanks for the research that you do!
The bottle and then getting the postcard. How fabulous. You two are so amazing. I can sit for hours watching the videos as I crochet. Thank you for all the hard work you do, it’s very appreciated.
😹😹the first thing that went through my head when you clinked the 2 ginger beer bottle tops together was they would make great chimney tops for a doll house.
Deb here, you are my favorite viewing ever. Have you ever considered cutting off those broken ginger beer bottles to make candle holders ? It could be another thing for your etsy store.
That puddin doll. Mystery find, my guess is a drawers/dresser handle. But that piece of porcelain with the bird and the acorns. That’s my fav and the cod bottle always love a cod even if it’s broken.
You should consider casting your pudding dolls in Original Sculpey (polymer clay). It gives the perfect bisque finish and you can pop an eyepin in the top of the head. This way I could afford to buy one, as opposed to silver!
Such a great way to end the day watching you two find your treasures and share your joy! Loved the little pudding doll and pottery shard with bird with oak leaves and acorns! Pretty pink bead too!
Love watching your videos and learning about the history of your finds, as well as seeing the beautiful reimagined treasures that you create from them. Sending ❤s from a yank who had the privilege of three years living in your lovely country.😊 🇺🇸 🇬🇧
I REALLY LIKE TO WATCH YOU BOTH YOU GET ALONG SO GOOD AND SEEMS LIKE YOU FIND SOME THING NEW ALL THE TIME AND I LOVE WHEN IT'S NOT BROKEN YOUR DAUGHTER GETS SO EXCITED YOU CAN HEAR IT IN HER VOICE
Amazing fun once again. I'm so fascinated with the pudding dolls. They are so tiny and fragile. I can't believe they have survived for centuries. And your eyes are so trained to spot them. Just brilliant. Lovey spending time with you ladies. Until the next! Kay from Georgia USA 🇺🇸
I'm not sure who is more disappointed when you discover, yet again, another broken ginger beer. As these videos are the closest I'll ever get to finding one, I would love to see more whole ones found!😊❤
Gail, you wondered what to do with the curved piece of china. I saw it and thought of the shadow shields in front of some candle lamps. The solid piece has one picture and holes cut through it cast a different picture when the candle is lighted. The curve shields the light and limits where the light reaches.
" The headless horseman/horsemen" sounds somehow like a very old regiment name (although a bit strange/weird of course). 😁 Respectively definitely like a good title for a book/movie. Even a pub with such a name would be great. Or a name for a relatively strong Whiskey. 😁 ;-) Okay, okay, maybe my fantasy is galloping...
If you collect the pieces of colored glass, they can be polished/grind down to shapes and pre drilled and jewellery made from them. Using leather bands/ with these colors would look splendid. Good luck with it.
You found some cool things this week. The 57 disk looks like a door number from a hotel. It’s always nice to see what you both find, the way you get excited .It’s a silly thing really how much you can find that is just under the ground ,or hidden in bushes .thank you for taking us along..Love n Light 🥰
So sweet to see you nice ladies on a Sunday afternoon: happy treasure hunting! Hope all is well on your neck of the woods! Congrats on your tiny doll! So cute! From California greetings! Stay well 🌹p.s. will you be showing new creations with your many beads in your other channel in the near future? Would love to see what you create with your lovely beads thru the months~
Love you guys,do you put any of your finds bottles, pipe house ,beach glass in your shop for purchase?also I love your jewelry making are you self taught or did you learn from a class?
Oh I really love your Channel....it is so calming. And I am determined to catch a live stream too lol. The pudding dolls are adorable. And a fully intact pipe....I find it so fascinating learning about the origins and information regarding your wonderful finds. I love the tiny teapot how very cute. You both are so very sweet. How very apt and coincidental about the pot and the postcard. What a pretty pink bead I am super excited, and the glassware and pots just brilliant.
Hi, Beautiful start to the week watching the delight you two have discovering treasures in the dirt while I have my morning coffee, what diverse collection. Loved the little 'white hands' bottle - so cute, and the pudding doll! Well done on exploring the new dump site. Have a great week, looking forward to you making creative art from these finds. xx
Hello lovely ladies! Another great video. Ty for all these great history lessons and the restoration and wonderful treasure hunts! A suggestion from my hubby was that may b a zipper of some sort? As always looking forward to your next video. You guys are a wonderful team. ❤️ nice to relax and learn, and be excited all at the same time! Good luck in future adventures!
Could the mystery piece be part of a decorative handle from a chest of drawers? It would dangle from the actual handle. Just a guess as I have an antique chest with these just slightly bigger. I always enjoy your videos. Especially the history behind many of the items you find.
That's what I think the mystery item is too. We had an old chest of drawers with similar catches on the drawer handles and also bedside cupboard had similar on the handle too
The 57 tag you found could have come from a hotel's room key ring . Also the little metal hoop you found, could that be off a maids chatelaine . Another lovely video and some great finds 👍💞💞💞💞
Sorry ive been away and only just caught up. Thank for such a lovely outing. The brass hanging object looks like it came off a drawer handle with decortive bit on the drawer and thatcpiece attached to pull the drawer out
Dear Gail and Alex, the more I look at that brass handle thing it looks like it could be the bottom of a pull rope like a bell pull and older house, maybe a very first coat with a zipper? Half the funds and finding out. CL
Many years ago I lived in Virginia . Myself & a friend scoured old documents & books on the American civil war. We found many places where troops camped . Some camp sites were just overnight. Some were for longer stays , such as a chicken pox camp. I found lots of mini balls , bits & pieces of horse harness , and even a bayonet. Where actual large battles took place became national parks..where metal detecting earns you a free stay in jail. But smaller skirmishes usually ended up someones farm or property present day. Several archaelogical digs are going on at the original english colonies . They're discovering many things including just how desperate they were.. Oddly , the first colonies landed late in the year when crops were not an option.. Most starved to death...
You ladies are wonderful at your research and for letting us know as much as possible about your excellent finds. I'm so very happy to watch all of your videos. Thank you for all you do to put out your insightful videos!! Hello from the Piney Woods of NE Texas 😊
I love the pudding doll!!! I have collected miniatures since i was 5 years old and im 61 now. Thats one of the cutest things i have ever seen (and i have seen alot and own alot too). I dont have any mudlarking finds or many from the UK at all. Great finds today. Also in the US there is a town and a legend called Sleepy Hollow. The story is called "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" about a headless horseman that appears every Halloween night. I'm sure you can read about it online. When you picked up the headless horseman it was the first thing I thought of.
Loved it as usual and I think the little metal loop could have been a blind pull. Lovely little cotton reel ink and such a lovely colour. The lead horse had all its legs which is a change but sadly no head. Have you ever found a whole one? Pudding doll was great too. Stay safe and looking forward to your next video.
Both of you are such lovely ladies. You seem very sweet and kind.I very much enjoy listening to your excitement at finding your treasures . Your friend, Harry Bond, Waterloo, Iowa USA.
Victorian era women in the US used to sew hooks inside their hoop dresses to hang small purses and whatever else they wanted. Perhaps the hoop thingy was one.
we had an old glass and metal chandelier that had metal pendant drops as well as cut glass! it looks like the same kind of casting Thanks for all your wonderful vlogs!
Though these lead figures you find are always battered, I can't help but imagine them painted up as a representation of the 'folly' of war - an aftermath of the 'charge of the Light Brigade'. And sprayed with a coating of luminous paint for for a ghostly, night time glow.
So good to see you both. I wondered if the mystery find was some kind of pull that a cord was attached to from a drapery rod. Just a thought. It was very pretty. I enjoy how you share the history of some of your finds. Keep up the good work.
That pipe bowl with the stripe going from the lip down around the curve reminded me of a fashion of skirts from the 1800’s later in the century when emphasizing of women backsides was all the rage. I could envision it as the bottom of a doll.
A Northern Mudlarks video is not the same without finding a bead and a leg (with an Alex growl). You always make me smile.
A leeggg!

Regarding the mystery object, years ago I had a small cupboard with a handle of a similar shape. The smaller hoop was attached to a metal plate on the door. So it hung down and you lifted it to pull.
yes...that was my thoughts...a small dianty drawer pull....
Handle to a jewelry box
The story about the bottle and the postcard is an amazing coincidence! It's really interesting when things like that happen and you realize the connection. Thanks for the research that you do!
The bottle and then getting the postcard. How fabulous. You two are so amazing. I can sit for hours watching the videos as I crochet. Thank you for all the hard work you do, it’s very appreciated.
Isn't so much more fun scraping and digging and the finds speak for themselves . Best of both worlds .
😹😹the first thing that went through my head when you clinked the 2 ginger beer bottle tops together was they would make great chimney tops for a doll house.
The mystery object made me think of a zipper pull or drawer pull. The pudding doll was adorable too.
So cute the pudding dolls!! I wonder how many kids bit into them??? Broke a tooth 😆
Lovely finds, I always like the pots, no matter what kind. That pudding doll is adorable! Thanks Alex and Gail!
Deb here, you are my favorite viewing ever. Have you ever considered cutting off those broken ginger beer bottles to make candle holders ? It could be another thing for your etsy store.
Thank you for sharing the history of the finds. There is something special about speaking the name of someone long gone.
Tiny tiny pudding doll is so cute, the glass bottles all clean in the sun just make me smile...
I love that you found the little hand cream bottle , then had a postcard from the same family, that's just lovely great video ladies 💕
I love the fact that you scrape finds out of the earth . Not just pick up what people have left. Some wonderful little finds.xx
With the curved pieces of pottery, maybe you could make a bracelet with the curved pieces being the center of the bracelet.
I’m enjoying your video on my phone while our electric is out for the third day from our hurricane in Florida. Thank you for the entertainment
Take care thinking of you.
Hope you and yours are doing ok!
We've seen the devastation on tv in the UK, I just can't get my head around 150 mile an hour wind. Keep well and stay safe.
Best wishes from NYS.
Hope you & family get power on soon. It's been a really terrible weather event, have watched footage on tv in New Zealand.
That puddin doll. Mystery find, my guess is a drawers/dresser handle. But that piece of porcelain with the bird and the acorns. That’s my fav and the cod bottle always love a cod even if it’s broken.
I love all the history you share with us. I'm glad you got the postcard to go with the bottle. Cool display 😎

Great finds today. My fav is the pudding doll. Great day out ladies.
The day you find the tin head from the solider on the horse I will scream!! Lol! Has to be on bucket list!
Such a great way to end the day watching you two find your treasures and share your joy! Loved the little pudding doll and pottery shard with bird with oak leaves and acorns! Pretty pink bead too!
Never knew of the pudding statues.

Another lovely lark, and a two-fer, double the fun! I wonder if the brass loop is a handle for a pull chain for a lamp or something? Fun to wonder! 😊
😁
I like the tiny little square teapot 🫖 and the tiny pots.
Wonderful outing by the river, ladies! I like to vote for the tiniest doll teapot for this week's window display 🙌🙌
I'm not sure who is more disappointed when you discover, yet again, another broken ginger beer. As these videos are the closest I'll ever get to finding one, I would love to see more whole ones found!😊❤

I find it humorous that Alex finds get set aside and Gail picks them up and takes them.
Not only another wonderful 'lark, but also a bit of my favorite piece of music - Claire de Lune! ❤️❤️❤️

Hello 👋 from New York USA Thank you for Bringing me Along with you Guy's I can't wait to see What you Find Next 😊

Love you guys,do you put any of your finds bottles, pipe house ,beach glass in your shop for purchase?also I love your jewelry making are you self taught or did you learn from a class?
I think the loop thing is a lamp pull. It would have been on the end of a small chain. Pull-chain lamps came out around 1896.
What a wonderful hunt. Some really nice finds. I'm glad you made a different turn and you made a connection for us with the History. Thank You.
Oh I really love your Channel....it is so calming. And I am determined to catch a live stream too lol. The pudding dolls are adorable. Your headless horseman had it reins, which are usually the first to go.. You found such sweet treasures. Very enjoyable. Thanks.
Hi Gail maybe you could make that mug into a wall pocket??
Possibly

Hello lovely ladies! Another great video. Ty for all these great history lessons and the restoration and wonderful treasure hunts! A suggestion from my hubby was that may b a zipper of some sort? As always looking forward to your next video. You guys are a wonderful team. ❤️ nice to relax and learn, and be excited all at the same time! Good luck in future adventures!
I love watching you dig in the dirt and rocks! The mystery item is part of an antique dresser drop knob. the drop part . Thanks
I can see that brass looking piece being turned into a pendant w/some small sea glass pieces hanging from it😊👍
Could the mystery piece be part of a decorative handle from a chest of drawers? It would dangle from the actual handle. Just a guess as I have an antique chest with these just slightly bigger. I always enjoy your videos. Especially the history behind many of the items you find.
That's what I think the mystery item is too. We had an old chest of drawers with similar catches on the drawer handles and also bedside cupboard had similar on the handle too
I think the loop is from a chandelier. I say this because of its rough seam flashing giving the impression that it was out of reach 👍👍💎🔥
Tiny tea pot for the window! Love the bird on the pottery!!
Beautiful finds and the explanation of some of your finds makes it so enjoyable. Thanks for sharing with us
wonderful treasures. I enjoy your adventures so much and your creativity with some of the treasures. Tazzie
I like the dolls teapot and the pudding doll the best.
So many great finds. Love the "It's a bead!" and all the great pipes.❤️😊
The 57 tag you found could have come from a hotel's room key ring . Also the little metal hoop you found, could that be off a maids chatelaine . Another lovely video and some great finds 👍💞💞💞💞
What FUN!!! More nice looooonnnggg videos! By the way Alex has the most beautiful complexion! And I love Mom's haircut!
Sorry ive been away and only just caught up. Thank for such a lovely outing. The brass hanging object looks like it came off a drawer handle with decortive bit on the drawer and thatcpiece attached to pull the drawer out
love the wonky bottle, that is the name of my cat, he has a wonky tail, we found two kittens at the dump, so I took them both.
Dear Gail and Alex, the more I look at that brass handle thing it looks like it could be the bottom of a pull rope like a bell pull and older house, maybe a very first coat with a zipper? Half the funds and finding out. CL
Send your bits of ginger beer and other cool pottery to Willie - he’s great at putting them together into a completed treasures! 😊

Ichabod Crane! The headless horseman from Sleepy Hollow!
A great day out with lots of great treasures. Take care and thank you for sharing 🙏👍❤️

Love the stories you tell from the family names you find.
I love the little pudding dolls that you find.
I love watching you and seeing what you find, also your lovely enthusiasm 😊
Beautiful day ladies 😊
Both of you are such lovely ladies. You seem very sweet and kind.I very much enjoy listening to your excitement at finding your treasures . Your friend, Harry Bond, Waterloo, Iowa USA.
The brass object might have been for a curtain, it would have a tassel on the end, maybe??That is all I can think of.
The frosty cod marble reminds me of the frosty surface of a lemon 🍋 drop
Always cheers me up watching you two ☺️
😁
That you follow up past the company information to the people is very nice.
Victorian era women in the US used to sew hooks inside their hoop dresses to hang small purses and whatever else they wanted. Perhaps the hoop thingy was one.
The crusty boot, use for a Santa boot! Great finds & great video!!
Awww..the little teapot and dolly..so cute 🥰
Perfect end to a Sunday evening.

The loop would make a beautiful necklace.
I love watching your videos before I go to sleep it helps me to relax ❤😊
Great haul of treasures, the little brass loop looks like a drawer pull.
That little brass loop. Could it be a drawer pull? Great to join you on this mud lark. Your great girls.
Your finds are so amazing. I love to watch your videos 😍!
super finds and interesting history as well.
Save the perfect ginger beer tops for Dirty Secrets of Scotland, for mending bottles he finds.
Lovely shard of pottery with bird and oak leaves.
The pudding doll was a surprise !
So good to see you both. I wondered if the mystery find was some kind of pull that a cord was attached to from a drapery rod. Just a thought. It was very pretty. I enjoy how you share the history of some of your finds. Keep up the good work.

Clay marble is what we found and was told they were used in baking pie crust to hold it down flat while baking
Headless horseman perfect for Halloween, Sleepy Hollow 🙂
11:11 is that a ghost?? See that round handle turning on it self 😲
That pudding doll is so dang cute!
Great guys, been missing your full down loads. 💕NZ. Stay safe.
i thank you for sharing your adventures with us and your treasures found along the way!! ♥️💕
