Went to Japfest 2021, and the owner of the NSX we saw, said he doesn't really like to go local meets anymore, because people have become gatekeepers, and like to tell people, what they should do, and not do to their cars, and that they don't "deserve" their car, because reasons. This video reeks of the same energy. "...on cars that don't deserve them". Who are you to say that? It's their car. If it doesn't hurt anyone, they can do what do what they want with it.
I forgot about the 300SL, seeing today just made me realize just how much I freaking love that car 😍

You missed the drop down doors on the funkiest BMW EVER (not the Izoda).
The doors on the Keiser Darrin are techincally "Pocket Doors", since they slide into a space within the front fender. The A-Team van has a sliding door. The distinction is used with building interior doors as well.

91-94 Nissan Sentra e, converted to awd, 2000s Nissan frontier se-v6, 4x4 crew cab long bed, forest green and 79-81 mercury capri rs, silver with the orange decals, 289/302 with a 5 speed, factory or non-factory v8. And still have plenty of money left over for details and upgrades.

Even for hot wheels cars can have those crazy idea doors like the Deora II Front Hinch Door. Also from a classic Dodge Deora I that opens the windshield as well

scissor doors when opened are shorter than a suv. last time i checked suvs fit in garages with no problem

My dad has a Aventador and the doors don't open taller than a suv but it looks like the door goes up very high because the car is very low to the ground.
You forgot the lykan with it’s rear hinged scissor doors and the BMW Z1 with the drop down doors.
I’d also take an Audi RS5 because it would be something that’s fun and would be a good daily especially in our winters here, then I’d use the rest of the money to pay for school and to mod the car

The rx8 only beat my Ion Redline by 2 years as the first sports car with rear suicides. Saturn had been doing it for a few years already, but the GM Performance Division Ion Redline didnt come out until 04. The cobalt ss came out in 05, and is the same Delta platform, but saturn was this first performance delta car.
are the gm and the rx8 the same chassis design and or with parts inter change?? as the roof line and or the sub-unibody's look the same but i don't know as im a 2G charger owner but though about buying a 2010-14 RX8 new but didn't. my hot take stock i like the looks of the 8 better than any RX7's

4:33 Why worry about hitting a ceiling when most garages can accommodate SUV’s? Which the majority of them are taller than Lamborghini’s scissor doors when fully open. There’s no point of worrying about vertical space when you are more limited to horizontal space, like parking lots, etc.

I feel like swan doors are a good Idea for economy cars. Ive had a lot of times were my doors hit the curb.
1999 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 with a 6-8 inch lift on 37-40 inch tires on a 15-16 inch rim I prefer a 12 valve Cummins turbo diesel or the 24 valve turbo Diesel engine
I put scissor door hinges on my then girlfriend's 2003 pontiac sunfart. I also took the drivers side wiper off and mounted it on the passenger stud in the center so it parked straight up in the center of the windshield and wiped down. She was expecting just an oil change that day🤣🤣🤣🤣
She is now my wife. Why she puts up with my shenanigans I'll never know. But shes incredible
I like the vette with scissor doors. But thats because it fits the shape of the car. As opposed to the civic or mustang which dont have the right body for it.
BMW z1 had sliding doors, they slid down into the body. And what about the doors on the McLaren f1 and other McClaren along with the Toyota sera...where the roof is part of the door and they open like an extreme swan
Can't forget that the extended cab Chevy Silverado pickups that have the rear hinged back doors that make it look identical to the suicide doors
QOTD- I would but a Veloster N. Why? Well because I like front wheel drive, its easy to tune and its from a brand that most people think that they don’t have the ability to build good sports car so I’ll just prove them wrong.

100k US? I would definitely buy the car you just covered in you video. The Lincoln Continental, but my favorite year would be the shorter whee base 1962 or the longer 1964. I personally owned 2 of the majestic cars (1964 & 1966). Truly sorry I ever sold the 64, but life happens!

Definitely the Mercedes gullwing doors over the Tesla doors but my favorite still remain the McLaren butterfly doors or scissor doors like on Lamborghinis and for the question of the day and 100k us being roughly 140k Australian dollars (AUD) id buy an HSV (Holden Special Vehicles) GTS and put a W557 Walkinshaw pack on it for 557KW or 755 HP of power.
QOTD: For myself I would buy a 1970 Dodge Challenger with a 440 Six Pack or a Hemi but first I would get my Dad a really nice Ford Bronco.

Bmw 1M because I love the N54 engine which is twin turbo 3.0 inline 6 and it will never lose value which makes it an ideal car
ima be that guy and point out that the saturn ion coupe had suicide doors on it in 2003 or earlier. it isnt a sports car but the saturn ion redline edition is a sporty car and retains the suicide doors. so mazda rx8 wasnt exactly the only or first performance car to have suicide doors.

Scissor doors are great, butterfly doors are awesome, dihedral doors are the biggest flex ever, but swan doors man...they are elegant. No wonder James Bond drives Aston Martins.

I would buy a 2015 Audi RS5 because it’s the last year they made a naturally aspirated V8. Plus they’re all wheel drive.
QOTD: i would buy a mk4 Toyota Supra for about 50k and use the other 50k to buy performance parts such as a bigger turbo and convert it to e85, also to clean & rebuild the motor.
Sliding doors are actually practical in my opinion.
