The only other two door types i can think of are a Kaiser and BMW that the door slid forward into the fender area and a Lincoln door that basically slid down under the car (i believe that one was a concept though)

I actually made a Z1 in ROBLOX because I was bored and wanted to test out a disappearing part script I was working on which i put into the doors. It actually worked quite well

I'd love to have reverse scissor doors. It's a lot easier to get out of such a low car by leaning forward, which is normally impossible because the door is in the way. If it opened scissor style but backwards you could be much more graceful and it would still have the same advantages.

There’s 2 types of regular doors though: with and without window frame. The cars without the frame are usually more sporty or luxurious and look better at least imo
With butterfly doors, you can fix the clearance issue if the bottom corner of the door is given an upward angle, but I can't think of anyone that has done that. It would reduce some of the ease of entry and exit, but you're already making a sacrifice in that department when you buy the type of car that comes with butterfly doors.

Something which would be kinda cool is to install Koenigsegg doors on a normal car.
It would also show that you (or your mechanic) are incredibly skilled because you need to add a lot of stuff to make it work. Including reprogramming/overriding/adding stuff to the car computer for lowering the window automatically and adding a mechanism for opening the door automatically.
Those mom vans with the automatic sliding doors are the worst things in all of human history

@@DontAttme uhh they make extended cabs for pickups the world over. Not just us trucks. Literally available globally. Toyota Hilux, Nissan Navara, Mitsubishi Triton, Mazda BT50, Isuzu Dmax, ford ranger all have this option.

Nice video. But i want to add. Most doors that go up were invented because they are lower the sills could be made thicker so the chassis is stiffer and it was easier for the driver to slide in when the door had a upward motion. At least that was the reason in the olden days.

when I was a little kid I was obsessed with scissor doors. i had this really nice model of a murcielago and i would just sit there opening and closing the driver door
Gullwing doors can open in tight spaces because they are hinged towards the middle of the roof. They can open in tighter spaces than regular doors. They still have trouble in lof garages though.
Aston-Martins and some classic Porsches like the 550 have some interesting doors that open at a slight angle. And you forgot the best kind of door, the sun roof, and the BMW Isetta door

My dad told me they are called "suicide doors" because when someone who is parking opens them and a car crashes the door form behind the car they will get hurt, while the classic doors will just rip off
The only problem I see with no doors is that anyone can just go in and jumpstart it
