recently started getting into ample sound myself, it can sound absolutely amazing when used right but can be a lot of work to add all the little details to make it sound realistic lol. amazing job, sounds really nice
Strumming is and probably always will be the hardest part about programming guitars because it always sounds too clean. If you're just having trouble with the strum function I think hifimidi has a good tutorial on how to do strumming with ample guitar similar to how I do it.
Hey Jason this is really good imitation of the original guitar part. Is there anyway for you to share the project so I can study what you did better? There are so many details and channels like hifimidi aren't on the same level as you. Anyway would be great if You could! cheers!
Thanks! I’m still working on projects for a tutorial and for file sharing later so there won’t be any public projects at the moment. I don’t know how long it’ll take since I’m busy with other things too so just keep trying at it yourself and I’m sure you can do it too.
I’m not releasing any projects a the moment but when I do I’ll upload the MIDI files. It’s going to be a little difficult though since I use automation for certain parameters in Ample Guitar and I also have specific settings within the plug-in and without these the MIDI by itself is going to be wrong. I still plan on uploading MIDI but just keep in mind that when I do the MIDI is not going to work with just the default plug-in itself.
Hi Jason. This sounds fabulous. A quick question, is this just the midi imported and plugins applied? I'm working on a spanish translation of this song that I want to record in another pitch and I will need to record the backing track again. So trying to decide if playing just the gitar or recording something like this I ended up in your video. Thanks in advance if you can help!
I put in all the MIDI manually and use virtual amp and cabinet plugins. I definitely recommend using the real guitar over the virtual guitar because the real guitar will give the best results if recorded properly. The virtual guitar is nice but I only recommend using it for demos or ideas unless you can’t get a real guitar.
Yes I believe it cost around $120. It’s an amazing plug-in. I do use third party amp sims though. Ample’s amp sims aren’t bad though. It’s just that I already have my go to tones with a different plug-in
damn! this took way too much skill to make and you definitely deserve more attention, nice work keep it up!
