It is so beautiful! I have a bunch of these type of storage units at my house and would love to do this on one of them. You did a great job prepping it and I love the style of legs.
Beautiful! It’s so much easier to put the primer on when the Kallax isn’t assembled. It’s even worth it to disassemble it most of the time! Great job though!
I love the way this looks! The only thing I would like to see is a solution to hide the edges of the burlap on the inside of the doors. Maybe a wooden strip could fix the problem? It would make the whole thing perfect!😊
So beautiful! Do you think your measurements would be different if you did 4 doors? I am wanting to cover mine with 4 doors and wasnt sure how to measure that up for the pieces of wood!
It's called burlap or hessian and its often used to make sacks because it's breathable and doesn't absorb moisture. it's also very durable and cheap! You may have seen it as a potato sack or a coffee sack! I love it ✨
Hello and thanks a lot for sharing such an amazing job!!! Great!! Please, would you be so kind as to share the metric of the screws used for screwing the doors' frames with the squares (Little brackets) ?? According to the Information shared the doors are 0.9 cm width (and I have bought them) but I am not able to find any screws which do not pass through the wood width and break it!!! Thanks a lot for your help!!!!
Hello Mikel! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! It's one of my favorite projects so far! I actually ran into the same issue, so I used two flat washers to overcome it! I hope this helps! Good luck with your project 😊✨
Gorgeous! Thanks for the hacks @craftydust ! I am trying to do it, what type of screws have you put on though ? I can't find any that will suit in such a thin structure. Thanks a lot!
Your hand coming towards the screen every few minutes is a little much for me - I had to turn off, but the before and after in your thumb nail looks great. I think it's well worth upcycling these units rather than them going into landfill
Hey Craftydusters! Thank you for watching ✨ Check out my newest IKEA HACK with the MALM nightstand here!

I loooove my new designer piece so much!! Who would have guessed that it was a worn out yellow IKEA bookcase?? Thank you thank you thank you!!
I'm SO glad you like it 😍💕💙💓❤️✨
It looks like a lot of work but it was definitely worth it! Very classy. I especially like the idea of using door magnets. Really enjoyed it, thanks 👍
Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed it ❤️🎉 yes, the magnets were definitely a good addition!! ✨
That is great. I might have disassembled the Kalllax first. Brilliant job

Thank you so much 🥰 you could use a coil of cane to hide the edges of the burlap ✨
This is so nice I love it ♥️
Thank you so much, I'm so glad you enjoyed it 💕✨
So beautiful! Do you think your measurements would be different if you did 4 doors? I am wanting to cover mine with 4 doors and wasnt sure how to measure that up for the pieces of wood!
Yes, I think the measurements would be the same or maybe 1-2cm shorter wide-wise so that they don't overlap.
This fabric... What is it? ♥ Very beautiful makeover! ♥

@@Craftydust Thank you so much for your answer! Take care ❤
Looks great! 😊
Thank you so much 🥰✨
really nice but
I would have add some wood or something to the inside to cover up the burlap raw edges.
This is wonderful! Huge inspiration! thank you
Thank you so much 🥰✨

I mean screws for the hinges ;)
I'm glad you enjoyed it!! Indeed, I had the same issue!! I used a couple of flat washers & problem solved!
@@Craftydust oh I see 😊 thank you!
Solid work :) ty
Looks great, but easy to do internal (kitchen cabinet) hinges which would stop hinges overhanging on the outside and the door gap
I would have preferred internal hinges as well but I don't think it's possible with this type of wood I used, it's too thin..
Un consejo, después de grapar y cortar la tela de saco pon cola en los bordes de la tela para que no se deshilache.
well done, very neat
Thank you so much 🥰✨
Beautiful!
Thank you so much 🥰✨
The sander you have from Amazon, is not the one you're using. What sander is that?
Nice.thumb up

Hi what are the measurements for the door
You can find the dimensions in the description box ✨
Did I hear correctly.... Are you from Sunny Cyprus.
I'm from Greece but I live in sunny Cyprus 🇨🇾✨
@@Craftydust I'm in Paphos. So nice to have a DIY with product we can actually find. So happy you doing this
Why not dismantle the unit and paint and rebuild?
because of lack of space at the balcony! but definitely could have done it if I had more space! ✨
Dangerous use of tools. Invest in a work table.

This is my first time seeing your video, but pls do not use your palm to change scenes, it's really not cute and it's annoying, sorry...no hate.
Agreed, it's too much
stop with the hand in the camera it’s overdone makes the video unpleasant.
