I think for the cushion instead of using glue I’d use the iron on hem tape. I’ve tried washing items with glue and it doesn’t end well but have never had an issue with the iron on hem tape 🤷🏻♀️
WOW!! You have really created some warm and inviting spaces to your home and your sisters home. I LOVE every project you shared and I have a few spaces in our home that I will be transforming with your ideas!! THANK YOU so very much for sharing all of these ideas!! 🩷💯👏🏼👍🏻🩷
You've done well, Christina and Sean! 🙌 Need I say your hallway installation (?) I've said it several times 😉 and still waiting for you to come put one in for me 😂❤
What wonderful ideas. I absolutely love your entryway. Definitely my favorite but all of them are amazing. Can't believe how much you can do with the IKEA cabinets. Have a wonderful weekend 🤗💓💕💞
I love all your diys. You make me feel like I can do them myself 🤔. Well, maybe not myself, I’m not very handy any power tools, them make me very nervous. I can come up with the ideas , tell my husband what I want done ,then paint the project,🤪😂. Keep the projects and the diys coming, all the best from the east coast, (Newfoundland).
My favorite update was the narrow wardrobe in the lake house rental lake house, it really looked like it was an original piece to the house. Great job. 😊
This is awesome - I need those kitchen benches for my small kitchen. Laurie how do you choose which IKEA style since you have a couple examples in this video - like is there an optimal seat height and width for finished dining bench?
How to do board batten with textured walls Lots of tutorials show it with the wood but will it be strange with texture in between ? Help !!! And thanks for ikea diy love those
I wish I could send you a picture of an office I’m doing I have to drive 4 hours to the nearest Ikea, I want to use it in my office. I’m thinking of the 3 draw mail dresser but they are no longer going to be making them
When I was living in apartments I had a lot of particle board furniture. It was cheaper, as well as more light weight. You move a lot in apartment life, and movers are expensive so having lightweight pieces I could move on my own was important. Now that I own my own home though I’ve upgraded to a lot of ‘grown up’ pieces, heavy solid wood furniture. A lot of it has been bought second hand from places like Facebook marketplace and thrift stores. It makes it way more affordable and being solid wood has the ability to be sanded and restained or painted if the condition isn’t good. I 100% agree wood furniture is beautiful and a way better investment. But the particleboard furniture does have its uses.
Blessings in an abundance of the faith. I salute you. 😘🙏Grace and peace be unto you and to this place. Thank you. God bless you. 😊Will you believe and receive Jesus Christ as your LORD and personal saviour??? I do. 😊
Love the corner bench for kitchen
All great projects. My favorites are the benches, so practical and easy to make.
I liked all your make overs but the corner bench with storage was my favourite. It really made the small space look bigger!
The last one with the shoes is DEF my favorite
Wow! I love you and your husband's idea on re-creating items. Thank you so much for sharing. Amen
Thanks for watching!
I love the hemnes tv storage bench with the wall hooks and and shelf! So smart!
I don’t know which one I like the best! They are all Fantastic. Framing them out with trim is perfect.
Oh thank you!
Great idea for the cabinet bench! I am going to make the base higher AND recessed so people's feet have somewhere to go when sitting on it.
I like them all. Can’t pick one favorite but the I like breakfast nook you made with the benches and the office space.
That bird cage wall hanging you had on your shoe storage wall - I turned mine (it’s white) into earring storage for my hoops and long earrings 😊
Great idea!!
like all the cabinet benches. My fav is the TV stand in the hall with the built in look
Loved the banquet! And the shoe storage. Really all of them were GREAT!
Such clever hacks. I love the stained wood chest with leather belt handles!

I wondered about the glue. Very pretty, but I am a sewist and would rather just sew one or use the hem tape.
Hem tape is a great option, however I've had no problem washing items I've made with Gorilla hot glue.
@thediymommy I would think washing in a cold wash and either air dry in the dryer (no heat) or hang to dry, would be fine.

Such a beautiful space 😊
I've never seen anyone use shorter doors on an Ikea Pax to create a visible upper shelf. Genius!!
How to do board batten with textured walls Lots of tutorials show it with the wood but will it be strange with texture in between ? Help !!! And thanks for ikea diy love those
I've never worked with textured walls, so I'm not sure. I think some people have skim coated them with drywall mud & sanded before applying trimwork.
If it is a small area, maybe add beadboard? It might be less work.
Hi love them all❤❤❤❤❤❤
I wish I could send you a picture of an office I’m doing I have to drive 4 hours to the nearest Ikea, I want to use it in my office. I’m thinking of the 3 draw mail dresser but they are no longer going to be making them

I grew up in a house full of beautiful wood furniture, not a piece of particleboard in sight
