In today’s video I am hacking the infamous IKEA Kallax unit once again, this time I am turning it into an industrial style cabinet! I am showing you how to make doors for the Kallax unit using MDF, how to paint MDF, as well as how to paint the IKEA kallax unit (or any IKEA / laminate furniture). It’s a good idea. The execution could be better. Probably prime and paint all the door components before assembly, less messy and easier to touch up. The joints between the trim pieces on the doors don’t really look good. If wood putty was used to cover them, then they weren’t sanded to a seamless surface very well. But yeah, if you’ve never done that before- it looks ok.
Youre the only RUclipsr Ive found who isnt using the Ikea door inserts for hinges. I needed to know that a flat hinge would work 👍🏾

Can't get passed all the wood filler you put on those joins, you were better off having those wood peaces for the door cut again to the right size.

Please be careful with your headphone cord! It could easily get caught by the sander belt, please tuck it inside your t-shirt out of the way x
Your sander had a place to add a hose for dust collection system; a cheap shop vac works wonders. After sanding, I'd use a vacuum with soft brush attachment to clean off the surfaces if necessary, and then some tac cloth to pick up any remaining dust. No water needed and WAY less dust in your environment.
