I just had to stop and comment on how gorgeous this project turned out. And how much money you saved by using burlap! That is a new concept to me, and I hope I can use it someday!! You have such an amazing eye for detail, and I can't wait to see what you do next!❤️❤️

Although I loved the finished product on the outside, I have a suggestion for making the inside of the doors look more finished and polished. I would remove the staples, tuck the edge of the burlap under about half an inch, so it looks finished and prevents fraying (you may need to cut out two new, bigger pieces), and use small tacks (black or brass) to fix the burlap in place. The tacks look much nicer than staples and much sturdier (it's also the preferred method of artists, next time you want to stretch and make your own canvas).

It does look cool Tina! I appreciate your creativity! A little suggestion- hot glue ribbon or cord to cover the exposed burlap inside. It will look even more finished! Thanks for walking us through the process! Be proud of your girl power! Hugs ❤️👵🏻

So funny I’m actually redoing mine also. This is the second video where I’ve seen it painted black & now I’m seconding guessing my first option 😫
My first paint option is actually the paint you used a couple of projects ago. mesa taupe!
I’m actually just doing 2 doors on mine but making it look like it’s 4 doors if that makes sense lol. I’m also doing burlap inside like you did but the kind I bought from Joann’s is super light almost a drop cloth color & I have a light wood in color furniture legs I got off Amazon to put on the bottom.
Should I do black or the mesa taupe?? I have a lot of black accents already through my home & my style is very much like yours. ♥️
I love the way you did yours with the arches. It’s so beautiful tina. Your so talented & really inspire me to create things & start uploading diys to my channel. ♥️

i have used a similar system that was a guide but it was more expensive than the one you have. It did not work well for me. Part of the problem was that the base that sits on the railing made it so I couldn't cut through some of the wood all the way through because it lifted the circular saw/jig saw too high up (so instead of being able to cut 3/4" wood I could only cut 1/2"). I found the best thing is just to clamp a piece of wood to your piece to use as a guide.

Nice job but the inside? Even a piece of twill tape to cover the frayed burlap edges and staples would have raised up the doors a notch! Otherwise, great attempt. As well, perhaps two more feet in the centre would support the piece and prevent sag. Ikea has nice stuff but not very sturdy and this piece was designed to sit flat on the floor.
