I keep getting drawn back to my bad habits and you explain it so well. I’m not ready to let go of my old self. I want to though. I genuinely feel like I’m at the last step of my alignment to be my best self and it’s just a few bad habits that I keep going back to. I’ll keep trying!
Michael: After a year of yo-yo’ing with my weight loss progress, I’ve decided I need to implement healthy constraint around who I learn from. Based on my experience with you and your content last year, I can’t thank of anyone better than you. For this month, I’m going to have you as my personal development coach through your content. What that means is I’m going to block out all the noise and only consume your content. I also wanna make sure I’m actually implementing what you’re teaching me through your content. So what I’m gonna do is take at least one actionable piece of advice from each of your videos and implement them in my life. Here’s what I’m gonna do from this video: 1. A system is a set of conditions you create for yourself that make following your habits easier, which makes accomplishing your goal more likely. The way I’m gonna implement this is to have everything I need to eat healthier and exercise easy to access. So for example, we usually keep the broccoli in a vegetable tray out of sight in the fridge, but what I’m gonna do tonight is actually have it front and centre in the fridge so that it’s easy to access and so that I have that visual reminder. 2. “Every time you have the urge to veer back into your old life, try and stick to the path that leads you to your future self it may not be perfect, but try your best to stay on track”. For me, this teaching is the antidote to the eff it effect that some of us on weight loss journey struggle with. I had half a glass of pop today which was like me, stepping back a little bit to my old self. The urge after that was to have another full can of pop because I had already had that half glass. But I decided to stick with it and go for a walk instead. I want to keep doing more of this. 3. This last one is more of a reflection on a teaching that you shared - the reason why it’s so hard to let go of a version of you that may not be aligned with your future goals is because it’s familiar and because you’ve been there for so long. People might look at me and say how could anyone want to live in a 400+ pound body but it’s exactly what you’re saying. There are certain conferences that I have in this lifestyle that I know I need to give up this upcoming year. And that’s hard, but so worth it as you say. Thank you so much for being an example of what’s possible. Appreciate you brother. Can’t wait to embark on this journey with you 🙏🏽
I always told my kids that if you hang around 5 stoners …. Guess what …. You’ll become the 6th stoner. It’s so important to surround yourself with people that add value and lift you up … and challenge you to be better. Great topic.
I heard a quote which is most people like the comfort life cause they feel” it’s better to know the devil they do than the devil they don’t” which is similar to the hell thing. But you’re right. You have to keep chipping away to improve. Baby steps 💪
Love love love this podcast and you so much! I have been silently following you on Tiktok but now also subscribed to your IG, your podcast and your YT! Your words and your mindset have been following me for a bit now and I feel so enlightened by every episode or tiktok I watch from you! Keep up the work! It is 8 am here in Berlin, Germany and I only have about 100 steps because I just woke up and I get ready for the gym while listening to you :)
Love your videos, especially your tiktok's inspired me a lot. I always wanted to start my own channel and you gave me the final push. Take care and marry Christmas!

Could you make a video on money, and starting to make money and what to do and what not to?
