The mustard colour of your blouse looks lovely on you because of the red and other colours in it. The eye focusses on those colours and your dark hair because they look good together. I found that was how I got away with fabric background colours that don't look as good on me, as long as the accent colours do.

Cheryl, so nice to see you again. I agree with you.... I just got a catalog today from a company I like. They have styles and fabrics I love. I tear out the pages that have an item I want to make and add them to my inspiration binder. I have the binder divided into types of clothing so I can easily find my new make.

The white linen dress looks just like the deer and doe myosoto dress. I just bought the pattern and it sewed up beautifully!

thank you so much Linda ☺️Yes, I found my curls lessened when I went grey, it's odd that the colour seems to add a bit more moisture. Still a pain having to do roots though haha. Thanks again for watching.x
That's so interesting. I feel that my hair is straighter than it used to be, but as it wasn't super curly anyway I wasn't sure if it was just a condition problem, or a consequence of colouring it. Cheryl's hair is lovely.

I agree with having only one layer around the opening. I ran into this problem and then your conclusion when I toiled a similar blouse pattern!

I love to do that too and often think that I could make it cheaper and with your own take on it too 👌. I love that type of neckline too and just made a Melilot shirt but with a button placket of course but a similar look 👍. I’ve just been attempting to sort out my sewing room and came across a pattern that was a free mccalls shirt almost exactly like the one you’ve made , that you reviewed a while ago. I remember thinking that I would give it a go but as always my plans are more than I can achieve! It’s a good idea to let Boden inspire you as I used to buy their clothes but clothes, like shirts are very expensive now. I like to sew things that cost me less money and would buy the item if it didn’t work out a lot cheaper to make ,especially if on sale or offer. I always bought my dresses from Boden as they have a massive choice. I still have lots of their Breton type tee shirts as they are such good quality. Nice to see you back Cheryl 😊

Nice to see you again! I have heard that the gold dots on that double gauze can melt under a hot iron. Did you have any issues when you applied interfacing to the collar?
Thanks Lynn, I used a pressing cloth just in case but yes they probably will dull with a hot iron. Nice to see you all too 😊
