This is Lost in Vivo, a heavy hitting psychological horror game developed and published by KIRA. No cheap jumpscares, this is a completely different animal than your typical horror games. Also, the tapes all have a very deep meaning. I believe they all refer to how your character views themselves.

That is my theory. If this is a type of “therapy” then it must have to do with the character’s memories, except with a combination of fears and insecurities. That’s my guess of what’s going on.
