El Sid was that dude....Very talented and a HOF for sure.
Best team in NBA history to not make a finals! 80s Bucks.
they had the third best winning percentage of the 80s, cummings, pressey, and moncrief used to put it down
great upload... pressey in his prime was simply great and moncrief needs to be in the hall of fame... amazing team
Am I the only one that dug those old Bucks uniforms. I'd like to see a 2014 version of that uniform over what they have now in Milwaukee.
Sidney Moncrief was one of my faves!
One of the final seasons when Moncrief was healthy. Nellie is really sneaky HC. This is a wonderful team with outstanding defense and speed. Lister-Mokeski-Breuer: Fun Trio.
yeah they allways had great teams and played well together and the mecca is tha best arena back in the day and the new arena should pay respects loved those rims with the longgg nets much respect sidney moncrief like too meet you one day you and paul pressey
The small ball with point forward was created by Don Nelson, pace and space
Loved Sidney Moncrief as a kid.
There was a very brief time when Jordan could be contained. One of the dudes that could handle him went by the name of Sid Moncrief.
Terry Cummings also averaged 29.5 ppg this series! So they were no joke. Just couldn't beat the 76ers and Celtics consecutive in any one season!
It's a travesty Sidney Moncrief is not in the Hall of Fame
Those Milwaukee Team under Nelson can score but played defense back then because they were in the Central Division with Chicago, Indiana, Atlanta, Detroit , it was known as the Black and Blue Division
Moncrief, Marques Johnson and Bernard King are the three greatest players not in the Hall. Might add David Thompson to that list, but, like Bernard King, his career didn't last long. This Bucks team was good even before Sikma was acquired, when Lister and Breuer were getting the center minutes. True, they were absolutely embarrassed by Philly four straight in the next round, but you gotta appreciate how excited the Bucks bench gets when Breuer hits that little hook shot in the lane. .
I really enjoy watching these 80's Bucks teams.
man, these guys really fouled the shit out of each other
I was recently looking at the greatest NBA peremeter defenders of all time and I seen Moncrief in here and wondered how he did guarding Jordan. There was 2 guys who did good jobs, Joe Dumars the bad boy pistons, and Gary Payton. How did Moncrief do?
Nice 2 weeks ago Crazy
The 3 an 4 seeds in the east were usually better than the 2 in the west in the 80s!
Does anbody have some of the old Buck games from the late 70s early 80s, like the game against the Lakers where Moncrief went about as high as the rim for a tip jam? Or when Marques Johnson dunked 10 times against the San Antonio Spurs?
Moncrief and Woodridge were about to throw down late in the game.
The Bucks were very good w/ Moncrief, Pressey and Cummings. Just not quite good enough to make the finals vs. the Celtics or 76ers.
Sidney Moncrief was too smoove in the open court,
great move @0:48
Paul Pressey must have had some long ass arms
He did. 6'5 and the wingspan of a 7 footer. I was a part time Usher at the M.E.C.C.A. in high school during this era. Loved getting paid watching my Bucks!
Captain Morgan I watched and played pick up ball with his boy at mizzou.. he was a good little player... he just had trouble defending the big strong guards. His defense was a big liability in nba. And at mizzou when facing a big pg
Captain Morgan god damn that sounds like a dream job..
@@TheSands83 That is very cool...
@@TheSands83 yea, Burger King would not hire me. I got the usher gig shortly after. It was great because I played ball in high school. We also had easy access to the players because our locker room was on the lower level near the players. I met a lot of the players and their families.
Also saw Marquette games during that era. I believe Doc Rivers had just got drafted by the Hawks
These guys are tough on 2k12, just lost to them 112-108. F#$^ing Terry Cummings!
What's up cuzin I'm taking it all the way CBA or NBA I'm coming next.next genera ration of moncrief leggo
Just spraying on MJ.
a rookie...lmaooo...yall kill me
